A great alternative to New Haven pizza lines. I love the bacon and onion pizza, my wife loves their gnocci. All reasonably priced.

The best pizza place around. I’ve been a loyal take out customer for years now and it’s consistently great. Everything is always fresh, tastes great and the service is friendly. Their broccoli rabe and sausage specialty pizza is awesome and I recently tried their bolognese pasta and it’s excellent.

There are many options for pizza in the area, but I feel GG’s is a standout. They offer a thin crisp crust, and many amazing ‘designer’ pizza offerings. The Bianca, which is a white pie with fried eggplant and ricotta cheese is one of the best eggplant pizzas I’ve had, and white you’re at it, try the eggplant stacker. If you like something different on your pizza, don’t hesitate to try the duck.

The food was absolutely amazing! The meatballs are heavenly and the gnocchi are so light. Every single person at our table was so happy with the food and the service. Will definitely be back for more!

Anyone who reads my reviews knows that I am always fair, to the point of generous. Additionally, I have years of sophisticated hospitality experience earned while working in San Francisco as a caterer and events coordinator. Additionally, I lived with two chefs: one who was the sous chef in a nationally recognized fine dining restaurant, the other, a line cook in a well-respected and prosperous café. My experience is that it is hard work and excellent public relations that run a successful restaurant. For the past two years, I’ve been a biweekly customer of GG Pizza for its convenience and good to very good pizza. I’ve brought new guests with me almost every time I frequented GG. In other words, I’ve spent a considerable amount of time and money here. Friday, March 18, 2016, I met two deaf friends here. They arrived first, when the restaurant was empty at 4:30PM. They were escorted to the worst table in the restaurant, next to the kitchen, adjacent to the swinging doors. Considering the restaurant had only one other party seated, this struck me as odd. We enjoyed a tasty dinner and yes, we were socializing and lost track of time. From my seat, I was able to survey the room, and realized the restaurant was finally filling up and we needed to finish our dessert and leave. We had ordered appetizers, pizza, and dinner. One member of our party had to leave and without the rest of us knowing beforehand, paid the bill for us. The first nudge: the server brought the dessert check and announced its delivery rather than just leaving it on the table. I paid the bill and asked for a to go box. The second nudge: another server who bustled about our table, not cleaning it nor did this person deliver the requested to go box. We were almost finished, yes, still talking and signing, when a man appeared and physically accosted the only man in our party, a deaf person, by grabbing his arm. My deaf friend was so startled, he understandably Unilocaled. I, all 4″, 11″ of me, stood up and asked the intruder what the problem was. He said, «who can I talk to», I responded, «me». Immediately he launched into an indignant«I have 30 customers waiting». We were so shocked by this outrageous behavior, that we, paying customers, stood up from our unfinished meal and scampered from the restaurant. I did count the line; which may have totaled 12; not 30. 1) Never again will I frequent a restaurant that believes it is ok to physically accost people; 2) Yes, we dallied, but were in the obvious process of preparing to leave. 3) GG chooses to serve appetizers and complete dinners as well as pizza. As we ordered some of everything including dessert, we did spent a lot of time and money there. 3) We paid our bill and left a good(20%+) tip; 4) We were made to feel our business was unappreciated. I don’t know if this occurred because they were busy and the bully is a jerk or if they are prejudiced against deaf people but I am uninterested in finding out. I won’t return. Note: The owner contacted me and explained that he wasn’t there at that time nor does he encourage his staff to bully people. He wondered how long it is appropriate for people to linger in a pizza restaurant; he compared our behavior to camping out at Pepe’s. He failed to apologize and didn’t seem to recognize that by offering appetizers, dinners, and desserts as well as pizza, it is probable the typical dining experience will be longer than just eating pizza. As I stated at the beginning of my review, I am aware and respectful of the restaurant’s perspective; we were in the process of leaving. To compare GG to Pepe’s, a 75+ year institution of exceptional quality was ridiculous. I stand by my original single star for the excellent pizza but I won’t be returning or encouraging others to dine there either.

Sat solo at the bar. Bartender, Kerry was very nice and attentive and kept my wine filled. Ordered the Sicilian dry rubbed wings. Didn’t really taste wood fired but they were crispy and the seasoning was very good. Ordered the Arugula salad to go. Saw the pizza being eaten by other people and although I didn’t have any and can’t speak to that, it did smell yummy. The bar area is very small and cozy. Seems very much a local establishment. An everyone knows everyone sort of deal but I didn’t feel out of place as I had never been and didn’t know anyone. I will be back!

The best pizza that I’ve had in Mitford. Quality ingredients at a decent price. I would recommend the shrimp and bacon pie.

I wish I could be writing a good review… the food here was excellent, my waitress was friendly and pleasant… then as I was enjoying my food I hear screaming coming from the kitchen, i’m almost positive this was the owner ‘George’. He was being entirely disrespectful to a group of his employees. I saw the employees walk out of the kitchen looking worried. There’s no reason a business owner should ever speak to his employees like that and I won’t support it so I will not be returning to GG’s.

This place had some unusual pizza toppings and styles. We got the mashed potato pizza, we were very pleasantly surprised, it was so good we ate the whole thing. We thought it was soo cool that the tv was showing what was going on in the kitchen. Staff was very friendly and it was nice that they served beer here too. After a long day of flying, this place really hit the spot.

What a gem in Milford! This is not your corner pizza joint. Give it try. My go to dish is the homemade gnocchi when they have it. The log cabin is to die for… yummy crunchy bread w Gorgonzola sauce. The marchiano salad is delicious and my must order starter. The pizzas are made to perfection and you can even watch them cooking on the pizza TVs. If you have a catering need, I highly recommend GG’s. All around great place and welcome addition to the area.

My husband and I walked in about 20 minutes after they stopped cooking. They saw that I was pregnant and a couple of the cooks that were hanging out at the bar offered to go back there and whip us up a pizza! After, the kitchen has been cleaned and closed. These people are awesome. It was late so they even passed around snacks they has whipped up in the kitchen. The pizza was AMAZING! Definitely going back to this place!

There’s nothing I’d change about any of our experience. We ate in the bar area to watch some sports; good variety of music playing and two large TVs in a cozy space. Friendly bartender and wait staff. Garlic knots on seating were a prelude of the taste sensations to come. Arugula salad had just the right mix of thinly shaved cheese, tomato cubes, artichoke hearts and crispy garlic slivers. To die for! Our pizza was crispy thin, with the proper amount of red sauce so as not to be soggy. We topped it with sausage, eggplant and artichoke and it was divine. And then, of course, as other reviewers have noted… dessert was out of this world. A pumpkin tres leches cake with a scoop of pumpkin salted caramel ice cream. This is what the acronym OMG was invented to express. Mmmmmmm. Can’t wait to go back and try other menu items!

First time here — owner came and chatted with us & shared homemade specials. Had an amazing arugula salad — super yummy & we all ordered different pizzas. Pizza was the best tasting pizza I’ve had in a long time. Finished with a dessert which was heavenly — homemade cannoli. Will definitely be back!

We would have liked to at least try the food but the hostess was too busy ignoring us to acknowledge us but very promptly got the people who walked in after us on the list to be seated.

This is the family owned type of place that is like being home away from home. The food was very good. I have to say the margarita pizza was great. Also the mashed potatoe pie. We also had the Bronx calamari and terryuki buffalo wings. My mom had the eggplant rollatini with Penne and it was delicious. All very tasty and came out rather fast even though they were very busy. The service was on top of everything.

Pizza is delicious. No denying they use the highest quality ingredients. I’ve been there many times since they opened in late January and have tried most of the menu. The Vodka sauce pizza is a favorite. I’ve had the mashed potato pizza and the steak and cheese pizza specials, both of which were great. The white clam and the jts special are also great. My favorite part is definitely the log cabin garlic bread. It’s served stacked up like Lincoln logs and served on a plate filled with a cheese sauce which you can help but polish the plate. As hard as it is, saving room for dessert is a must. The lava cake is delicious as well as the tiramisu. Service is slow at times as they are a new restaurant, but the staff is extremely friendly and the managers are definitely reasonable as well as very transparent in their love for the restaurant business.

I ordered a small pizza and a Caesar salad. The order was quickly filled, the girl on the phone was very pleasant and seemed to genuinely like to be working there which was nice to see. You could smell the pizzas cooking in the oven which was incredibly promising. I live less than a mile from GG’s, so I grabbed my pizza, hopped in the car, and came home. I opened the box and was sadly greeted by a very oily pizza. I took a paper napkin and dabbed it off leaving me with an oily imprint. As noted by others, the tomato sauce is on the sweeter side and you can taste the wood fire oven but just barely which I found to be disappointing. Perhaps I’m a bit of a pizza snob, but it wasn’t quite what I was expecting — especially when compared to Pepe’s & Sally’s. This is probably the closest equivalent in Milford. I think in the future I’ll order the pizza cooked a bit more well done in hopes that it will help with the grease factor. Otherwise, the Caesar was very good. Perfect amount of dressing. Croutons were beyond delicious and they actually dressed it with parmesan cheese. I think next time I’ll order it with chicken and see how that goes. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I think I’ll order dinner next time instead of pizza or perhaps try their speciality ones and see if the results differ. My daughter really enjoyed it so maybe it’s just me. In either case, it’s hands and feet above places like Bella Napoli and even Mama T’s(they’ve gone severely downhill). For thin pizza, this will definitely do in a matter of convenience.

So far I really love this place! I’ve been eyeing it all summer. The Marchigiana salad was seasoned perfectly and tasted very fresh. It was ginormous for $ 4.95! We also had the log cabin, a stack of garlic bread in a Gorgonzola sauce. I was a bit disappointed to find out that the Margherita only came with regular mozzarella instead of the buffalo listed on the menu so we got a regular pie instead: half pepperoni, half cheese. Pretty damn tasty!!! The pepperoni was huge albeit a bit salty, very cheesy and flavorful. For dessert, we had the Vintage(Flavorful) Carnival… omg yum!!! It was like funnel cake only 1000x better and more fattening. It is basically individual, bite sized pieces of funnel cake drizzled with chocolate sauce and powered sugar topped with a HUGE scoop of caramel gelato. Yes I gained 40lbs. No, Idgaf! The menu is basic and not overwhelming. My kids loved watching the tv with the pizzas going into the oven. Our server was sweet and attentive, but super busy. I’ll be back! Lastly, make sure you check your bill… since my daughter was treating I decided to take her through the math of the bill. We were overcharged $.25, which is no big deal but can add up significantly spread out over a number of customers(btw they didn’t fix my bill even after I showed them the mistake) AND they include«suggested» tip amounts which are calculated on the final amount not the subtotal. BIGNO-NO!
