Let begin my review by saying that I can recommend the product. It works as intended and has demonstrated the ability to handle heavy rainfall. The 3 star rating is the result of my experience with the installation. When we signed the contract for the install, in addition to paying the deposit amount, I stated that I would thoroughly clean the gutters of debris prior to the scheduled install date. The sales rep assured me that this was a task that the install crew would complete on the day they arrived and would clean up any expended debris. This same crew was also scheduled to install some heating elements to aid in the prevention of ice dams during the winter. As it happens, I drew the D-team for install. When I returned home the next day after installation, I first discovered that a full five foot section of gutter had no cover. The heating elements had not been installed as correctly and, as a bonus, the ladders the crew used left black marks all over the white trim below the soffit. Seeing all of this, I expected entirely that the cleaning of the gutters was not nearly that which was required or desired. I was therefore not surprised to find that a substantial amount of debris remained throughout the gutter system. They also left all the debris they did clear on my deck and in the yard. To add insult to injury, I made the mistake of paying the balance prior to inspection and learning of the above problems. I contacted the sales rep and aggressively outlined my dissatisfaction and asked that a plan for resolution be offered close of business that day. The rep responded quickly and said that he would forward these problems to the company and offered assurances that the problems would be resolved. It was not until four days later that I received a call from the owner who, to my amazement, had no idea why he was supposed to contact me. After outlining the problems… again, he said that he would arrange with the appropriate people to schedule a crew to visit the house. I stated without qualification that the original crew was not to be that which would be scheduled to resolve the install issues. While it took some time, a crew did arrive about ten days later. Michael and James did an outstanding job in fixing the problems. They even identified sections that had not been noticed as being improperly installed and fixed those as well. If you do decide to install GH, make certain that absolutely everything is to your satisfaction prior to paying the balance of the contract. I would also clean the gutters yourself to be certain that they are completely clear of debris. After the problems with the helmet were fixed, I contacted the owner and kindly requested that a small deduction to the cost be applied considering the painting that would be required to clear the black marks left by the ladders. After a great deal of protest, he said that he would arrange for a credit in the amount agreed upon. Based on his feedback and degree of protest, I completely expected that he would not follow through. He did not disappoint. Though if you ask for Michael and James as your installers, I expect you will avoid the installation experiences I had.
