I was initially puzzled at how a store that sells lights could get an average two star score. It was by far the worst customer service experience in my life. Despite being the only customers in the store, the sales staff would not make any efforts to assist us and was completely clueless when we asked questions, sometimes just refusing to help us at all. One salesman didn’t even know where the flush mount lights were in a 30ft by 30 ft store. I asked to buy a light with 30 minutes before close and the salesman asked if I could come back the next day so he wouldn’t have to take down the display light near closing time. I finally left despite seeing a fixture I would have liked because it was simply too difficult to deal with them so I gave up.

This place has gone down hill. My family has been going here well before I was born so I thought I would check them out. I was so disappointed. Yeah they have lots to choose from and prices are alright(only because of the sale going on now) but the sales staff is horrible. Most of the guys seem to be too busy to even help me out and just handed me a card and told me to go online, like REALLY!!! The only one who would help me out was just WAY too pushy. Just a bad bad experience. I told everyone to not go there because obviously they don’t give a damn about the people just about the money.

We have done business with Light n’ Leisure many times before and been very happy but something has changed. The sales person we dealt with was unenthusiastic and grudgingly waited on us even though the store was empty. He did send us a quote later that evening. When we tried to use the AMAZON local coupon we had purchased, the store refused to honor it but never really explained why. The coupon offering specifically stated it was good to use with other promotions. Our order was not a special promotion. When we asked to speak to a manager, was told«there is no manager here.» We were given a phone # for customer service but no one answers the phone. You have to leave your email address on the voicemail and wait for someone to get back to you. Really??? When asked who the owner was, we were told«we can’t give out that information.» We have not heard back from customer service. We called AMAZON and got our money refunded. I will NEVER do business with this store again.

This place is terrible. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. The manager and asst manager are both confused and completely lost when it comes to how to treat people. Would never go back! 2÷15÷15− I still have not received my refund. Was promised on 2⁄8 by Corky at customer service that it would be within 48 hours. Still waiting.

Enjoyed a great experience at this store today. Judie was a great help to my wife and I as we went back and forth on choosing lights for multiple rooms. Compliments on the selection, prices and service. We were pleasantly surprised with the experience and would recommend the store to anyone else in need of lighting.

Ten minutes before closing on a brisk December Friday evening, we showed up. No one made noises to chase us out or beg for their weekend to begin. Instead, not one but two salespeople stood patiently by, letting my daughter and me take our time to choose an eight foot track lighting fixture as well as two vanity light sets. Helen and Gary were the soul of good service, care, and kindness. They stayed over half an hour late to help us make our purchase, accepting a complex online coupon we’d brought and writing up a hard copy slip. The discounts were substantial(some floor samples were 70% off for discontinued items, hence we saw a track light set for $ 70, which is a great price). We were invited to bring any merchandise back for store credit if it didn’t work out. The lighting selection is good(although my husband and I prefer to buy our fans online), the prices can be great. They have sconces, pendants, lamps, you name it. If you allow extra time, floor samples can be detached and packaged up at a substantial savings. Love this place, even despite the 45 minute trek from our home. Will go back again soon.
