Pulled pork and beef brisket are among the best! Phil’s own 7.5 sauce is also great. I usually don’t even put BBQ sauce on my food, but this sauce compliments the food instead of smothering it.

The reviews are all accurate! Best. BBQ. Anywhere. Phil is from Texas so he sets the bar high for his food, and delivers! Seriously amazing meats, sides, and cornbread! You can’t go wrong!

Best stop for dinner right before a movie at the drive in. Absolutely fall-apart tender brisket sandwich that didn’t even need BBQ sauce to go with it, it was so flavorful.

The food from this place is great! We found it a few years ago when we moved to Brookline. The BBQ is delicious, and the portions are huge. We will keep coming back for sure!

This barbecue is incredible. I don’t know how this man came to this particular corner of the Earth and decide here I shall maketh the barbecue, but he has come to ply this ancient craft in this place and if you are a fan of smoked meat you shall come to pay homage. I’ve eaten barbecue from Maine to Mexico and this is one of the top two or three places I’ve ever had.

I lived near Atlanta for three years and my wife lived there most of her life, so we were really missing good BBQ up here. Phil’s was reputed to be one of the only good BBQ places in NH, and he certainly delivered. We wanted to try some of everything, so we got pulled pork, brisket, smoked sausage, ribs, and cornbread. We didn’t eat it all, but we certainly tried! The pork and sausage were stellar. The brisket was good. I thought it was just a little too dry but my wife loved it. The ribs were just okay. Overall, if it weren’t for their accents and the lack of sweet tea(the drinks were all in cans in a cooler), it was just like any of the amazing BBQ stands down south. If you want to go in 2015 you’d better hurry! Phil asked us how it was afterward, and we said we’d be back — but he said he’d be closing down for the year on October 31st. Maybe we can sneak in one more trip up here…

Excellent everything. Don’t think just go here and get some great bbq! There is a nice spiciness to the dry rub used but it is not too much. Just make sure to have cash ;-)

We always go to Phil’s when we go to Milford. Not only is he a super nice guy who will ask for your feedback but he makes all his own food in his smoker right on site. We have had the pulled pork, brisket, and ribs. They are all so tender and juicy, they melt in your mouth. This is one of the only BBQ places in NH worth going to. You just cannot get any better food than this. Even the cornbread is delicious and made exactly the way I found down south. :)

Just stopped for some lunch with my husband and our two pups. First of all the setting is so nice with picnic tables set up in the shade in a pretty grassy area. You order from the trailer, and the food is ready almost immediately. We ordered the brisket plate to share along with all three sides — coleslaw, potato salad, and baked beans. The portions were generous and it all was so delicious! The meat was tender and flavorful, the BBQ sauce options were tasty, and the sides were all great and the perfect compliment to the meat. The meal even came with some cornbread which was the perfect way to top off the meal. Because I’m a sucker for fresh homemade lemonade, that might be my only suggestion — to have a big pitcher of that as a drink option rather than cans of Minute maid lemonade. No complaints here though — it was a perfect meal. We can’t wait to come back for some more delicious BBQ soon!

There’s a shortage of decent BBQ in NH, but this by-the-side-of-the-road trailer helps close the gap. I don’t expect every smokehouse to nail each and every dish perfectly. What I’m looking for use overall concept and execution. We tried three meats: brisket, pulled pork and ribs. Brisket was the least successful, being just the tiniest bit dry. But it was still very tasty. The pulled pork was above average. Too many restaurants just put out a pile of dull mushy pork butt with minimal flavor and no texture at all. Here they mix in a fair amount of crispy edges that lend it more variety. And they have both North and South Carolina sauces available. Plus hot sauces. The ribs are not tiny, little 3-and-under riblets, but big, hefty joints with lots of meat. The pitmaster clearly didn’t cheat the way some pseudo– BBQ places do by boiling, braising or even steaming them. They are smoked just enough, leaving the meat still quite moist with just a bit of a chew. You can actually taste the pork flavor. My only critique if that I would have preferred a stronger, saltier spice rub. The crust is a bit bland. Try the 7.5 sauce with these. Slaw and cornbread good, potato salad OK. Service fast and very friendly. Prices right on target. Definitely worth a drive to check it out.

I’ve been searching for a good barbeque place around here for a long time, and I think I finally found it. We both ordered pulled pork plates(along with an extra side of brisket), and both were outstanding. The meats were very tender with good flavor. I particularly liked the sauces that they had available — there’s definitely some Carolina influence with the vinegar sauce, and the five point sauce(?) was equally tasty. Sucks that they are seasonal, but I plan to enjoy it while I can.

As my husband said, «the best barbecue I have ever had». We brought aficionados from NYC and all of us were delighted. The chicken was delicious. The dry rub on the ribs was so good that no sauce was necessary. My almost 8 yo recommends that you stop by «no matter what.» Atticus, the pooch, is a wonderful and sweet host. You will NOT be disappointed.

My boyfriend and I were doing our usual Sunday drive and were pretty hungry. We drove by this place and immediately knew that we had to try it. I could smell it with the windows up! So we turned around. We ordered the pulled pork plate with cornbread and cole slaw. Best bbq I’ve ever had, atleast in southern New Hampshire. The owner was super friendly and informed us that they opened last week and they’ve been very very busy, and that they were out of chicken and baked beans, which was fine. There was plenty of food for the two of us and the total with a drink was $ 11. Can’t beat that! Definitely recommend checking it out.

Drove by this place while on a business trip. Had to turn around and order the brisket sandwich. Had it under the shade of a tree with the owners and chef discussing how they got their brisket so tender and moist. The land around is beautiful. The BBQ is excellent. It made a crappy business trip worth it.

The VERY best in the area, and I say in a HUGE area. What a treasure this place is. Fresh. Tasty. And this is not because we share the same first name. I try to go here once or twice a week. It’s that good. His own sauce is the best around too. Far better than anything you can get on any gourmet rack in any store or county fair.

No nonsense smoked meats, and does them fabulous. my only sticking point was the sides. just kind of non-descript and meh. almost bland. Had the 3 rib w/sausage and was hands down, the best in the area. tried a bite of the pulled pork sandwich which was excellent. Take-out or picnic tables and cash only. thats the deal here and get ready to get your meat on. shit is tight. You can keep your day old, dryed out ribs at bigger establishments like Red Bones in Somerville. this is fresh tasting and all sorts of awesome. House sauce was offered and okay. not the best No doubt be back when my arteries clear up. Yes, worth the drive through«scenic» Milford.

Try this place. It’s a seasonal, free standing BBQ shack on the Milford/Wilton line that serves up top notch smoked meats, sides, and homemade sauces. I was blown away when I finally decided to give it a try and will certainly be back many, many more times.
