Hmmmmmm, I wonder who those new Unilocalers are wrote those other reviews? Seems to me like they just may be the very people I mention in this review… They didn’t seem to review too many other places, they reviewed no other antique shops, they’re all new to Unilocal and they all popped up rather quickly and in the same time period… how odd… and all in almost exactly the same voice. I actually would not have added these extra lines but they do mention me in their reviews and actually state that something else prompted me to write my review and the incidents that I wrote about are alleged. What prompted me to write the review was the truth… You decide. I have a huge problem with this place. It’s not the merchandise, though it’s not the best quality it is decent and priced high but within a good bargaining range. The shop is small and packed, which is fine. Why I don’t go back is after visiting the shop 3 times over the past year and a half — each time I was in the shop there were a few loudmouth friends of the owner who pretty much cursed up a storm and were extremely crass and used absolutely disgusting language that quite frankly was embarrassing. They gossiped crudely about people they knew, swore, cursed and were just not the sort of person one wants to deal with when antiquing in quaint villages in tiny stores. The owner asked the loudmouths to keep it down because her daughter was in the store(each time!) but they just got worse and more obnoxious and said that the daughter had heard it all before. This happened each and every time I was in the store. So its not the goods this shopkeeper sells, but the company that she keeps that should keep anyone with children or self-respect away.
