Robert Platt, MD

Dr. Platt is an excellent cardiologist. I haven’t needed his skills except in making sure everything in my heart is working in the proper way. I went to his office shortly after he and his partner Dr. Kalavich opened their doors with a serious asthma episode and was impressed with the laser like approach to diagnosis and treatment. Then I came back the next week for a stress test with both doctors monitoring the results of my breathing and heart function during the process. Now I doubt I would get the same attention today since my condition would be an easier diagnosis with years of experience since that first visit, but his interest to detail is the same as it was. Dr. Lascara is the other doctor now and I’ve seen him once and like him. Most of the time I see Rena Jaffe, Nurse practitioner. She does a good job. Tells me what I have to do and when I don’t, pushes a little harder. Naturally I eventually do what she had told me because it was sensible from the beginning.
What I like about the office is it’s run correctly. I don’t wait for very long to move to the exam room and see one of the treating staff. I don’t interact much with the others as that’s not who I came to see. I sign in, pay my co-​pay, see my doctor, set the follow up if there is one. Now today you get an appointment card, a voice mail reminder and an email reminder. What could be simpler?

I love the back staff, Susan and the other young lady, but the front desk staff, and Dr Platts attitude leave little to be desired. You are treated like you are less then worthy of their time.

While Dr Platt is a very nice Doctor, his office staff is AWFUL !!! They are rude, and act like you a waste of their time and a major inconvence !!!$
