Supercuts

This place is run down and gross. The girls who work there are unprofessional and don’t know how to cut hair. If you really need a cheap haircut drive a few miles to the supercuts in Hopkinton.

Been coming here for years and have never left disappointed. Prices are reasonable and there’s usually not much of a wait for walk-​in service. The background music selection is questionable though.

I went to this place once a couple of months ago. The stylist was personable enough, but the next day I noticed that she had missed spots in my hair. In the past few days I went again deciding to give it one more try. I called aheard to have my name in for a haircut. I got there to find one person cutting a customer’s hair while another lackadaiscally swept the entire floor. There was someone already waiting when I walked and then another had come in, too. All of us had called ahead. So the 3 of us waiting are doing so while we hear laughing and clucking of at least 2 women from the back. If they had been on break, they should have known enough to be quiet, as it looks bad when customers are backed up. Finally the one sweeping takes the guy who has been waiting the longest. A few minutes later a woman with a male customer comes from the back area where he was apparently getting a shampoo. I’m guessing, because they were back there more than 15 minutes. The woman, who was in the process of cutting hair when I walked in, got done with her customer. So, she decides to sweep the whole floor!!! She takes her time. I gave up and left. Supercuts is known for hiring new or lesser skilled people. This place has uncaring, unprofessiional employees. And, their price is not that great. Never again.
Since posting my original comment on May 1^st, I have had 2 emails from the same Unilocaler. She has encouraged me to go back and to give it another try, that it’s under new management and that the new manager is really nice. I wonder who she is (firend/​family of the manager or perhaps the manager herself) and her intentions.

I went to Supercuts as my usual Barber is not open on Monday and I was over due for a haircut and actually had some spare time so I decided to give it a try. The girl who cut my hair was very personable and outgoing. Unfortunately that is the only nice thing I have to say. The girl cutting my hair was more interested in talking than paying attention to what she was doing. I always have my hair cut the same way, a 1 blended to the top, and the top cut to finger length with scissors. The girl started with the buzzers like she should and rushed through that. She then quickly moved on to the scissors and wanted to be done in 8 minutes. I had to point out some noticeable places that she missed with the scissors and I had her fix those. She quickly did so all the while talking and making conversation, which again I didn’t mind. After she quickly finished the areas I showed her, she once again stopped and said, «OK, is that good.» I replied that it looked fine even though she had not run a comb through it, so I couldn’t really tell. She did not use the buzzers to fix my side burns or the back of my head, but I didn’t think I should keep having to tell her what to do next. When she rang me up it came to $ 15.95 (overpriced for a 8 minute haircut). I gave the girl a $ 20 and told her to keep it as I just wanted to get out of there and I always tip at least 20%. When I got home, I took my hat off, wet my head and combed my hair forward like I always wear it. I looked in the mirror and realized the girl had missed spots all over the place. I then proceeded to get my scissors out and fix what she had missed. Once I was done with this I did my side burns with my buzzers and realized that she had actually missed spots with the buzzers as well. I proceeded to find my 1 attachment and I put that on and fixed the missed spots. I guess I could understand this happening if the place was full and they were trying to get other peoples hair cut, but I was the only one there!!! Now I guess I know why. I would not recommend anyone going here unless you want to pay for something that you will end up needing to fix yourself!
