We stopped by on a lazy Thursday afternoon since we were both off work. We had the place to ourselves, perfect time to enjoy a drink and good bar food. We had an amaretto sour, my better half tried on of the local beers. He ordered the Montana burger, it was so delicious! The caramelized onions really make a difference. I went for the black bean chicken nachos. They were perfectly done and came with plenty of sour cream. The avocado was very fresh and so was the pico de gallo. We sat at the bar and enjoyed ourselves, our server was present but not too chatty so we could enjoy the afternoon together.

The beer is definitely overpriced. Plus, 6 bucks for an order of fries. Are you kidding me? You’re not the Whitney. I substituted a salad instead of the 6 dollar fries with my order and was still charged an extra 4 bucks. I won’t be back.

The location is right on the corner and has a nice ambiance. This neighborhood bar is welcoming and decorated nicely. There are tables and chairs outside too. ‘The Bar’ pretty much describes itself. Almost an onomatopoeia.(Ok, some English teacher will correct me.) Parking is a bit of a challenge like much of Milford, but worth it. I had the sliders and they were delicious. The flavor reminded me of grilling outside and they filled me up. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. It got busy right after we arrived, and everything still ran smoothly and on time. The cost is reasonable. I must return for the weekend breakfast Eggs Benedict. I also see Maurice Salad on the menu. Definitely going back. Perhaps after a few more visits, this will get 5 stars.

The food tastes pretty good, but it’s overpriced. The few times I’ve been there, the beer has been mediocre at best, and still expensive. Bottled beer was even pricier.

For a little, corner place, it’s got great stuff, great staff, and welcomes your dogs on the patio. The fish tacos are to die for and if you have it with the watermelon martini, you will have the prefect accompaniment of citrus. Oh, yum!

The breakfast on the weekend is awesome, love the breakfast burritos. Mimosa’s with fresh squeezed OJ, very yummy. Only open for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday’s, however. The everyday food here is excellent as well. Great fish taco’s, really great salads, nachos, burgers, it’s all good. It’s just a bar, but I love it.

This is my favorite place in Milford! Whoever is in the kitchen preparing the food, they are AWESOME!!! There has never been a time that we had a bad meal there…

We have tried to like The Bar so many times considering we are so close to them, but so far no visit has changed our minds. I will admit that the food is fantastic. However, the drinks are extremely pricey, the servers are never very friendly and I really wish they would be more welcoming to children, at least during the day time. Milford is a big family town, so a kids menu would be nice to have and probably attract more people.

Awesome breakfast and great burgers! Friendly staff and quaint pub feel. Just at the edge of charming downtown Milford. See you there! P. S. The whiskey chili is AMAZING!!!

Great local spot. Four stars based on comparison to other options in the vicinity. Wide variety of local beers and good basic appetizers. Fantastic service. True Michigan gem. I will be back.

Yet another great brunch. This time sausage gravy and biscuits were on the menu. Although I didn’t go all in on a full order, they let me have a side of gravy for my omelet to satisfy my craving for only $ 2 or so. Considering thay a small side of jalapeños are .50, I thought that was a good deal! Mimosa once again did not disappoint.

Excellent little bar in downtown Milford. They had a decent amount of craft beer selection and a good martini menu. The martini prices were also reasonable for top shelf liquor. My boyfriend and I split the chicken and black bean nachos. They were awesome and had a creamy avocado sauce over the top. Definitely glad we stopped here even though it’s about 7 miles off the Interstate. Wish Unilocal did ½ stars because this place is 4.5 stars.

The Bar has a relatively simple menu that tries to cover a bit more ground than it probably should. They’re able to pull it off, but don’t come expecting a deep or cohesive menu. More often than not, I’ve opted for a daily special, and I can’t say I’ve been disappointed. Their cooks can be surprisingly creative, and if you hit the right night, you could wind up with a dinner that you’d expect to pay twice as much for elsewhere. Entrée portions are good, but the $ 3 upcharge for fries is never worth it. Put that money towards their short list of microbrews or a drink special, instead. The Bar doesn’t do much to hide the fact that they don’t want kids there — particularly younger kids. If you’re planning on a high chair, plastic cups, or a kids menu, plan to go down the street to just about any other restaurant in town.

Great service and pretty big portions. The atmosphere is really relaxed, and I feel comfortable eating here with my wife, in-laws, or even the toddler.

I’ve been to the bar a couple times. Both times I got a salad and it was great. The mojito’s I got here was not impressive the second time. They have a really cute patio out back with corn hole and they have seating out front where you can watch all of Milford’s finest drive by and stare at you as you eat. :)

Three stars only because we came in on a busy saturday morning and watched while the only server(who was busting her butt to keep up, and doing a great job) got continuously busier and the owner sat at a table eating breakfast instead of helping her. The cook had to come out and help this poor server clear tables and refill coffees because the owner was clearly more interested in satisfying his appetite. Its a little sad that he wasn’t interested in helping out this team. Other than that, food is amazing. Get a mimosa and the Eggs Benedict.

Without a doubt, the best place for breakfast in Milford on a Saturday or Sunday morning! if you’ve never been, you must go this weekend! Make sure you get a cup of their wonderful decaf coffee… it’s fantastic!

Came here with my family for dinner the other night: –The service was friendly and helpful –They have a decent beer selection on tap & in the bottle(I’d skip the Raspberry Wheat unless you like pretty sweet beers) –The portions are gigantic(especially the chicken nachos) –We weren’t blown away by any of the food, but nor was it bad –The prices are quite affordable in Milford –It is easy to find a parking spot in the area which is a plus since they don’t have a private lot All in all a good place, I’d be back if I was still living in the area.

This place has great food! The burgers are the best I have had in the area. The one with dried cherries in the burger and topped with blue cheese and bacon is my favorite. The sweet potato fries are a great side. The fries used to come with three sauces and I wish they still did. They also have great beers on tap all the time. The do breakfast on the weekends and that is very well done. The portions are huge so you can split a dish if you like. The only complaint I have about this place is the service, it is horrible. I have been here many times and the vast majority of the time I have had very poor service, even if the restaurant is 25% full. Plan on having to ask to get your water refilled, your order placed and your bill. And do not expect it with a smile!

I am a big fan of The Bar. The menu is small, but that is a good thing — everything is fresh and cooked perfectly. You can get an amazing burger, a good steak… I have never had a bad meal here, and if you go often enough they might make you something off-menu, like fried pickles. These with the dipping sauces for the bar frites are a good match. They mix a good drink, too, and they have some interesting beer choices. The atmosphere is nice. It’s clean and cozy. Whether you live in Milford or you are just passing through this is worth a check-in. Just be careful not to pass it. It is easy to miss…
