Mediocre men’s haircut for high price. $ 28. No eyebrow trim or neck shave. Any conversation was just in reply to any questions I asked. Much better value somewhere else like The Haircut Lounge For Men or Monolo’s.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I have lots of hair and it is not easy to work with. I choose this Aveda salon because I think Aveda is gentle on hair and in the past have had great experience with Aveda salons. I had an awful color service at Total Dimension just before Halloween that resulted in yellow doll hair on my head. It was unquestionably terrible, and no one tried to deny it. After a e-mail with no response in 36 hours and phone call to schedule color correction I was able to see the«color coach» a 6 days later. 3 hours in her chair and I had reasonable blonde hair. She explained all the things the other stylist did wrong and apologized profusely. Six weeks later when my roots had come in I scheduled another color appointment with the stylist who did the corrections. We discussed a blend from my natural color(dark brown) to the blond and more highlights to lighten the blond on the ends more. She put a two inch strip of brown on my roots and then spent 3 hours doing balayage highlights. By balayage, she meant heavy blonde everywhere past the roots with no variation. I wound up with a clear strip of brown and super blond everything else with no gradient or blend. My boss fell out of her chair laughing when she saw it. I paid for the service, though I made it clear to the stylist I wanted it to blend more. I did not call or e-mail to request correction as I do not plan to step foot in this salon again and was unwilling to allow them to try to fix it. I had it fixed elsewhere, they applied brown near my roots, waited 5 minutes, applied another row, waited, and applied another row. The person who fixed it stated this is the standard way to do a blend or balayage and was shocked at how it was completed at Total Dimension. I brought photos both times it is laughable how they completely ignored the goal. Do not waste your time and money.

I called trying to book a new appointment, never been here and new to the area. I was told to wait while they helped another customer. Unfortunately, they never placed me officially on hold and I heard the other customer’s conversation as well as their credit card info… guess that’s a sign I don’t want to go here!

I love Total Dimension Salon in Milford! The experience is like nothing you will ever find at any other salon. The Aveda products that they carry AND use are earth friendly, and people friendly too. Even their hair color smells wonderful!(And works great too!!) They always include a free hand or head & neck massage, and after they wash your hair, they wrap your head in a hot towel — it’s like a spa experience. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. I’ve been a client for several years and have hardly ever seen any staff turnover. Must be a great place to work too.

Total Dimension is one of the more ‘upscale’ hair salons in the town of Milford. In general, I don’t really think you get what you pay for for the most part. Your haircut includes a shampoo, and a standard men’s haircut will run you a little over 25 dollars. In general, the problem I’ve had with Total Dimension is that almost every stylist I’ve ever had is never there more than a couple of months, so when I return I end up with something new. This is rather frustrating considering it is supposed to be more upscale, and you can’t even have the same stylist. I will say the stylists I’ve had are talented and always get my hair right, but considering the price and the fact I always seem to have a new stylist, I don’t particularly like coming here.
