I see their lunchwagon often at the Mililani Tech Park by Oceanic, but didn’t get a chance to try their food until today at the Radford High School food truck event. I got the lechon plate and a couple orders of the vegetable lumpia. The lechon was okay, but seemed a little too bland for me. The lumpia was really good though.

I just saw this truck the other day in Mililani, the owner Candie greeted me and was super nice. I will definitely go there again.

Aunty Candie’s is AWESOME!!! I absolutely LOVE her Chicken Squash and most of all her Banana Lumpia. You gotta try the Banana Lumpia. It’s 3 for $ 2. This past week I must’ve gone 3x’s. On top of that I got 4 people to go there… and they all loved it too. I’ve tried the Pork and Peas and honestly it’s better than Elena’s, not kidding. As far as I know, everything she serves is good. The prices seem high but you really get a lot packed on your plate. Plus, Aunty is always so nice. Go check her out. She’s in front of Oceanic Time Warner on Akamainui St in Mililani Tech Park Mon-Fri excluding holidays. I can’t tell you exactly what time she shows up but check out her business card posted in the pics.

Seriously onoliciois! From local food to filipino food. Located right outside of Oceanic Cable. Can’t go wrong with anything you order. She also does catering services just ask for a flyer. Prices are affordable than most places. I must admit Candie’s lunch truck is super clean so I don’t have to worry about roaches and unsanitary things. Service is great she greets you with a smile and if you’re a regular she’ll remember your order. Service is also quick! Her and her husband is there from M-F 11a-130p(or when food runs out) Good food Good portions Good prices Awesome service!

When i first moved into my newly built home in Mililani Mauka back in 2000, one of the best things that could ever happen to a foodie like me was to wait till 10:30 in the morning and park my car near the construction sites where they were building new homes around this area and wait for those Lunchwagon’s to park their trucks and feed these hungry construction workers. It was only a three minute drive from my newly built home and knowing i didn’t have to go very far to eat some cheap eats made me very very happy. Fast forward to 2014 in Mililani Mauka where everything home is built from the bottom up and a Lunchwagon is a thing of the past. I used to make my way to Waipio to seek out Filipino Food at Elena’s Lunchwagon for some decent Filipino Food but now they are focusing more on the restaurant now and i’m not going to roll the dice driving down to Waipio only to find out they are not there like they used to before. Enter Candie’s Lunch Wagon located right in front of Oceanic Cable in Mililani Tech Park. If you are looking for Food Truck’s on a daily basis during the week this is the place to go now. What allured me to Candie’s Lunch Wagon is noticing how clean and eye catching this Food Truck is. It’s run by an older Filipino Couple and they are so sweet and i have to tell you this, they cook up some really good Filipino Fare. I am being very biased here but my Dad to me is the best cook when it comes to Filipino Food but being married to a Japanese Wife from Japan, Filipino Food is very hard to come by unless i ask my Dad to whip me up some Filipino Food and i stash it in the freezer and nuke it up and i’m one happy camper, but when i am looking for some Filipino Food on a whim, Candie’s is the place for me to satisfy my Filipino Food craving. Here are some thing i recommend when available *Pork Adobo *Squid Guisado *Pinakbet with Pork *Mongo Beans with Pork *Pork Guisantes Candie’s has other items available as well such as Furikake Chicken, Bbq Pork Ribs and other items and the food prices range from seven dollars for one choice and eight dollars for two choices. The two choice Plate Lunch for me is the way to go so i can have more of a selection. I will tell you that they don’t pack their plate lunches to the gills and they don’t have macaroni salad as well but it does come with 2 scoops of white rice and a tossed salad or if you don’t eat greens like i do, i always ask for all rice so i can sop up all that Pork Adobo Gravy and soak it all up. They even sell Bibingka as well. So my advice to you who live in the Mililani and Wahiawa area, or if you are paying for your Oceanic Bill at Mililani Tech Park, give this place a try if you are looking for some good old fashioned Filipino or Local fare. But the draw for me here at Candie’s is the Filpino Food. Salamat Po Candie’s Lunch Wagon for satisfying my Filipino Food Craving when Daddy cant whip me up something in a jiff…

I really feel like these lunch wagons by Oceanic in Mililani Tech Park are hidden gems. I have to go out to Oceanic every so often for work related purposes so when I’m out there around lunch time, I like to give these places a try. The one and only time I’ve been here, I ended up getting a two choice plate, ribs and chicken adobo. The adobo was good but the ribs were delicious. Maybe it’s not the best ribs I’ve ever had, but the portions were really generous. Off hand, I remember it being reasonably priced too which gives it some major brownie points in my head. Make sure you make some time to stop by over here if you’re ever on this side. They usually got a couple of other trucks out here too to give a try.

With so many food places to choose from, these are the reasons I come here… 1) Very Friendly«Auntie» and«Uncle»… I feel like family. Really? Who wants to patron any establishments with rude people? I’d rather give my money to people who care! 2) So clean and bling! I love seeing sparkling stainless steel and clean kitchens and this is the cleanest on any lunch wagon ever! Talk about raising the Cleanliness bar. I compare other lunch wagon to Candie’s and if its not up to par, I wouldn’t eat there. 3) Location! I frequently eat here as often as I pay my cable bill. And lately since I’ve visited the Cable co so much for exchanging my crappy DVR boxes, I think Oceanic should buy me some lunch plates. What do you think? 4) Menu with different variety to choose from. I always get the finger licking good furikake chicken and will take something different to go along with my two scoops of rice and salad. On one day, I’ll pick the pork gisantes and another day I’ll take the BBQ ribs with the meat so tender, they fall off the bones! Along with furikake chicken, I love the freshly cook to order garlic shrimp! Yumm yummy! 5) The price is typical plate lunch prices average around $ 7 or so. If you’re not that hungry, grab a side of adobo fried rice or pancit. That’s filling enough! 6) Portion Control… The food isn’t packed so high like some fast food places that pack their plates with low quality, grease laden food… but if I eat what they serve, I’m content with the amount, I’m full, delicious quality items and food doesn’t get wasted. Hope this helps you guys decide to buy a plate or two from Candies Onolicious Grindz. Take that extra steps after paying your cable bill and go visit your aunt and uncle. Save some furikake chicken for me. Oh, and they’re usually there Mon-Fri from 10:30a– till they sell out of food which is around 12:30 or 1pm. Enjoy!

So, I decided to grab a quick bite to eat on my way back from«official military duty» in town and I must say that I made the right decision to stop over at Candie’s, or «Auntie» as I call her every time I go there. Today, I ordered from the«buffet» and got the chicken adobo and pork gisantes, with a huge can of Arizona green tea. I was not disappointed with my meal at all. Actually, in the five or so odd times that I have been here I don’t ever recall ever not liking what I ate. As for the truck itself, it is very well kept, with a clean interior and all the stainless steel within is still shiny! I would definitely recommend this truck to anyone who frequents the Mililani Tech Park area or the surrounding areas. The price is pretty reasonable and the food has not disappointed me yet. I am not sure if this is a «cash only» place but just to be safe, I always ensure that I have a few bucks in the wallet. Be sure and come early, like before 11:30 to beat the lunch crowd that literally comes out of the«woodwork». Enjoyable as always. Thanks«Auntie»!

Named after Candie, a retired former school lunch employee, this clean truck serves decently priced food($ 6.50 for 1 choice, $ 7.50 for 2 choice w/two scoops rice and tossed salad), in the slightly Filipino, but mostly local style plate lunch genre. Daily Menu includes: Teri Meatballs, Fried Chicken, Furikake Chicken, Mushroom Chicken, Pork Gisantes, Pork Adobo, and BBQ Pork Ribs. Daily Specials are: Monday: Sweet Sour Spare Ribs Tuesday: Kalua Pork and Cabbage Wednesday: Chicken Katsu Thursday: Teri Beef Friday: Chicken Adobo They also sometimes have steak and shrimp, lau lau and roast beef depending on availability. They’re a cute, Filipino couple that makes you feel like you’re supporting your friend’s parents when eating there. My only complaint is that their portions are slightly lighter than the typical massive plate lunches we’re used to. Overall, a good choice for lunch.
