I moved a month ago and had a great experience with Mike The Mover and Russell. They were on time and worked so quickly and efficiently that they seemed to be doing the work of four people instead of just two. They had all kinds of equipment and supplies to make sure that nothing got broken or damaged. A friend recommended them to me(she hired Mike The Mover’s company for her move from North Seattle to Vashon Island and said that the staff did an excellent job). I’m really thankful for the great job they did for my recent move.

I didn’t do the proper research. That was the biggest mistake of my life. What seemed to be an amazingly low bid came with many unexpected surprises. Mike and a young guy came unprepared. I have heavy furniture that requires at least 3 – 4 strong men, which is what two other moving companies quoted. Although, Mike must be nearing 60 and neither of the two were fit for heavy lifting, he assured me this was going to be a quick and easy job. In a nut shell, they damaged my house walls, floors and several pieces of furniture as they struggled to get them into my house. When I addressed the damage, he acted as if nothing had happened. He didn’t even offer to compensate. His assistant who does the quotes also underbid the job and we spent $ 300 more than we expected. I discovered, after the fact, that Mike the Mover isn’t licensed and bonded in the state of Washington nor is he accredited by the Better Business Bureau. The questionaire sheet they have you fill out should clue you in to how they operate.

I was referred to Mike and his crew from a friend, and I am glad that I chose to go with him for my move. They were fast, efficient, and moved my stuff with as much care as if it were their own. Definitely worth every dime.
