When I called Abacus Tax Service, they actually answered the phone and I was happy to hear that they were still taking on new clients. I asked to come in for a consult on the taxes I had prepared myself, and they were willing to give me free advice over the phone! I have an appointment coming up but am impressed already.

Abacus helped me during a (somewhat stressful) phase of transitioning from a regular employee with relatively simple tax needs (most of my taxes handled by employer), to becoming a self-​employed business owner with his own contractors and employees — in other words much more complicated tax needs. I am not great with pure financial matters; I don’t have the knowledge, I don’t really care to acquire the knowledge, and frankly it stresses me out a bit. Abacus is the perfect partner for me. They taught me how to set things up and not only took the burden of managing this off my shoulders, they did so in a way that made it really simple and easy. I think in another life they may have been dentists who were really good with children deathly scared of dentists. I have recommended them to several friends now (including one who hadn’t paid her taxes for many years and whom Abacus was able to help). They are knowledgeable, easy-​going, and helpful professionals who get the job done and make things easy for you, and I’m really glad to have finally found them.

My husband were referred to Abacus by a friend and have worked with them for several years on our personal taxes. The first year we used them, I had prepared our taxes myself first, and then took them to Abacus for comparison. They were able to identify some deductions that I had missed, and actually got a us a larger return! Recently, my husband started his own business and they gave us tons of advice and really went above and beyond what we expected at our normal appointment — for no additional charge. They have always clearly explained the complexities of filing and really know how to boil the details down to simple, understandable terms. I highly recommend them!

Abacus Tax Service is amazing. They are quick, personable and easy to work with, not to mention that they get you amazing returns. In the rare event that they make a mistake, they take ownership of the interest. Also, my taxes are not cut and dried at all and they help me easily organize the right information for them to get a high return.

I have been a client of Abacus for five years now, and I have been really happy with the service I have received there.
Also, I have never been charged anything extra on top of what I pay for my return filing (which is very reasonably priced) for things like financial consulting throughout the year, filing an extension, or requesting a call to my mortgage broker to help get the loan. I like that. It makes me feel well taken care of!
Taxes are an unpleasant business, I like a place that makes it as pleasant and painless as possible — Abacus does that!
