Biba Tamang, Postpartum Doula

Biba is amazing! We had been struggling with the sleep deprivation that has come along with the birth of our second child, and having Biba come two nights per week, has been the best thing we could do for the happiness (and sanity) of our family. As other reviews have mentioned, Biba has a ton of experience with kids and babies. She is also wonderful at nurturing moms with her kindness, competence and her great massage. But beyond all this, she is a wonderful person — compassionate, strong, and quick to smile– she is a presence that anyone would want to have in their home during this very special and crazy time of having a newborn.

Biba is amazing and has a natural way with babies. She was with me at my second birth and worked for us for 4 years following. My second child was a very fussy baby and had colic. Biba saved us. Other then myself Biba was the only one that could calm and sooth our baby. She is so loving, intuitive and calming. Though she is a trained doula Biba’s skills are not learned-​she is truly a natural with babies and understands their needs and how to love and nurture both baby and Mother. AND an amazing cook! Her chicken soup will help anyone!

We have been using a wonderful postpartum doula for the past 6 weeks after the birth of our first baby. I can’t recommend the experience and Biba Tamang enough. Having a postpartum doula allowed us to get a good night’s sleep while our baby was so well taken care of as we adjusted to parenthood (especially since I had to have a c-​section!). Biba is a certified postpartum doula, has infant CPR certification and has been used by many of my friends. Biba ran an orphanage in Nepal for many years and is wonderful with babies– I trust her with my son implicitly (she has 2 children of her own). Not only will she take care of the baby but she really helps new mothers by giving massage, cooking soups for breastfeeding and does light house keeping. She comes to our house from 10pm-​6am five nights week and it has been the best experience for us. Her prices are very reasonable compared to a night nurse. Worth every penny!
