This is a gem of a place and the staff make it really amazing! I’ve purchased numerous plants and trees and have had the benefit of working with them in my garden. They are so helpful and knowledgeable and happy to track down something you are interested in that they might not have on hand. A fast, creative and professional team that I feel lucky to have as a neighbor.

Saw and purchased a perfect Fremontadendron tree as a replacement to a non native tree that was killed by the winter’s frost. The tree was delivered on the next business day by a friendly and knowledgable staff member. He gave me lots of tips and advice on my garden. Looking forward to adding more plants from this nursery. They offer landscaping services which I am considering.

This place has much to offer in the way beauty and true sustainability. Every plant I’ve bought has been stellar and a wonderful addition to my mostly native garden. I’m rather obsessed with native grasses and they have a lot of them.
However. Today I checked their website which states they are
Open Daily
10 — 6
I looked at their Google + page and it said
Today 10 — 6
Open Daily means «we are open every day» to most businesses. .. .Open today means «we are open today»
I called but as usual got voice mail saying that they are «out in the field»
Today I drove 45 minutes each way and used up fossil fuel to find out that they were closed. On a minor holiday (President’s Day)
I arrived at 1pm. No, they were not at lunch.
Nothing about this on their website
Nothing about this on their phone’s outgoing message
Their Google + page said they were open today.
This is not a sustainable way to treat a business or customers.
