Dr. Jason Way has been a wonderful guide on my path back to health. I have always been a health-​conscious individual but since having my son three years ago it has been harder for me to stay on the right track. I realized after some trial and error with diet and exercise and A LOT of frustration, that I needed help. After a suggestion from a good friend who had experience with Dr. Way, I decided to do a consultation. I was impressed with Dr. Way’s knowledge and warmth. Dr. Way is also very thorough and definitely tailors the treatment protocol to my specific needs. This is what impresses me the most. This is NOT one-​size-​fits-​all medicine, it is something much more thorough, considerate and ultimately, effective!
Yes, you will have to cut back and give up some things for awhile– for instance, the detox we did had me off coffee, sugar, etc… for a set amount of time. Dr. Way structured the detox to gently ease me in so I did not feel deprived or restricted. I was also NOT HUNGRY AT ALL! This was the most important piece for me. If I feel hungry or deprived, I will give up a nutrition program in a heartbeat. I admit that I can be very skeptical about nutrition programs and tend to go into these types of things with a lot of doubt about my ability to do it «right» but so far so good.
Lastly, Dr. Way also was able to uncover a genetic mutation that effects the way my body processes energy. This was a significant discovery for me. I now know how to manipulate my diet and understand that I need to pay attention to certain nutrients. This is also important for my family since this specific mutation can be passed down my son.
