This is the best store ever! They have the best selection, looks amazing and so comfortable!!! The ladies are the nicest there! I absolutely like all of the ladies there! They are helpfully but not pushy and so welcoming and fun to work with. This has becomes my favorite store by far! The collections are beautiful! The style, the colors, the textures. Everything about this store is fantastic! I wish I could give them 10 stars!

I had been looking for an asymmetrical black top for a couple of years and noticed online that Eileen Fisher made many. I was hoping Macy’s had the top in their Eileen Fisher department so I could get it for less, but no such luck. I then noticed there was an Eileen Fisher store nearby in Mill Valley, & I was psyched. I read some of the not so wonderful reviews concerning the service on Unilocal,so I had to see for myself. I also used to live a couple of blocks away from this store & seldom,(like never) walked into MV boutiques. As soon as I entered the store I was greeted by a super friendly young sales girl. Her demeanor seemed quite genuine. To say she was magnificently dressed would be an understatement. She looked like she had just finished a fashion shoot, with special emphasis on her stunning jewelry. She looked awesome. I have worked as a fabric /clothing designer since 1980& worked for 12 years at Nordstrom years ago, so I am very aware of the importance of great customer service & great design. She found the top I wanted immediately. As I was purchasing the item I observed how the other sales people interacted with customers and I would give them high marks for friendliness. The one thing about this type of business is that there usually is a high turnover of employees. Maybe the«not so friendly» salespeople are long gone, they were just having a bad day, or it was a full moon. All I know is that my experience was excellent. I also LOVE my long asymmetrical black top. It is the kind of item that is timeless, chic, sophisticated and looks great for casual but could be worn dressy if dolled up with lots of jewelry. It’s way more than I usually pay for a simple item, but its usefulness and style makes it a super splurge. PS And, she was not pushy, which I hate! I will NOT go back to a store if employees are super pushy!

I don’t understand the other complaints. Yes, the SF store is dreadfully rude and cold but the Mill Valley store is a whole different vibe. It is tended by lovely, non-pretentious women who warmly great me as I enter. They are relaxed, non-pushy, help me decide what works and what doesn’t. The service is simply wonderful. I also love that they will give credit for any old EF clothing and totally recycle them.

I have been an EF fan for years. I live in SF and frequently get my items from Macy’s and/or Saks, Always a terrific experience. However; I am so disappointed in the service and lack of interest of the sales people on Fillmore Street. This is not a 1-time observation. I frequent this store with regularity { live in the area} and have found them to be uninvolved in providing me with positive and/or negative feedback, which is always helpful when shopping alone. They kindly assist you, when asked, but beyond that don’t expect much. In fact, after trying on clothes at Fillmore, I will wait to buy at Macy’s or Saks because of their customer care and service. Unfortunately, there are times when you can only find an item at the Fillmore store. It wasn’t always this way. When they first opened the sales people were involved, fun, and invested in putting some great looks together. EF can be tricky that way. Over the last year, this has not been my experience. It has been hit and miss with customer care. Too bad, because it is a lovely store and the women who work there seem very nice. If you don’t like feedback or suggestions on outfitting, then this will not be a problem for you.

The selection at this store is great; however, the sales staff are reserved and never smile. They aren’t very friendly and if there a lot of people in the store, the staff gets very flustered. It’s like it’s their first job and they can’t cope. They are on the edge of being rude. However, if you can get past the frosty exterior, they are willing to call other stores to get you your size and have it sent to you.

I’m not really the Eileen Fisher demographic either, but they are always very nice about working with me at the store. Their suggestions are helpful, not intrusive, and when my husband is there to add his opinion, they are happy to listen to him too. And nice when I’ve returned things too, or said I didn’t see anything special this time.

I have had varying experiences here. The selection is excellent but limited compared to a department store such as Corte Madera’s Macy’s EF line. The sales help varies: some of the women are helpful and friendly, absolutely lovely; others not so. I like the store and will continue to stop in from time to time.

Okay, I’m not Eileen Fisher’s target demographic, BUT both my daughters love Eileen Fisher, and I love to buy them things they love. However, the icy reception I have received when I have entered their store … IF they acknowledge that I’m there … has discouraged me from ever entering again. I live in Mill Valley, I believe in supporting local business, and… I buy Eileen Fisher for myself, but my Eileen Fisher purchases are done either at Macy’s or online. A Mill Valley Mom
