Illumigarden

I’m in the lighting business and I often refer my clients to Illumigarden for their outdoor lighting needs. The owner Michael Pringle is great at designing and maximizing outdoor spaces. We have done both residential and commercial projects together and Michael seems to have endless ideas and choice of fixtures. What’s also so great is that he specifies LED bulbs with every fixture and that cuts down on my clients maintenance down the road.
On a side note, Illumigarden has an incredible outdoor showroom of fixtures and metal sculptures. Way to support the local artist community!

The Illumigarden is one of those places you can drive by for years and never walk into then, one day, your feet just take you there and you never want to leave. Part garden, part imaginarium, a LOT of fantasy and beautiful art, mostly it’s one of the most magical spots I’ve ever had the pleasure to visit. It’s like time just stops, when you walk down the vine covered, wooden walkway… step by step you are just drawn in, seduced and ultimately, enchanted by all that is there.
There he was, Michael… with his ocean blue eyes, cool buzzed head, just the kind of guy who was made for hugs. «Tall Elf Factor» runs high. His enthusiasm is infectious, his knowledge of Mill Valley is encyclopedic, his awareness of people is nothing short of amazing. His invitation to come in and explore? Oh yeah!!!
If you are looking for a very talented custom lighting designer, Michael Pringle (like the chips he says) has that nailed. As a gallerist he excels at bringing together dozens of local artists who might not otherwise have found a space for their work, as they are often large and made for the outdoors. There is a LOT to see here.
He is quick to encourage you to have a cup of tea, take a table, read a book, chat or, just sit quietly and enjoy the vibe. Bring friends, have a wedding, let the kids hang out, this is a neighborhood treasure and gathering space that needs to be cherished. Can’t wait to go back.

This place is simply magical! The mix of nature and outdoor sculptures is so beautiful, I didn’t want to leave. And the owner, Michael is such a sweetheart!

I love this place. We had been looking for lights for our property for months before we found illumigarden. We love to entertain outside in the evenings so lights are a must! Their service and selection are superb. Their outdoor showroom is open in the evenings so you can see the fixtures lit at night. The owner, Michael and staff are wonderful. They held our hands through the entire process and the lighting design is included!!! I never thought our garden could be more beautiful at night than during the day.

This place has a great selection of outdoor lighting and great service. It’s cool because you can go in at night and see the displays in action. It’s in the old Smith And Hawken space in Downtown Mill Valley. We bought our entry lighting for our garden and all of our backyard lights. They have a pretty cool website too.
