Miller and Mane

I just love getting my hair done at Miller and Mane. Brooke is fantastic, and always makes my hair look perfect! Brooke really listens to the customer, and that is something I appreciate. I have also had a Keratin treatment done, and I’ll tell you what, it really lasted which I loved. I’d highly recommend Miller and Mane for all your hair wants and desires.

This place is great. I used to go into San Francisco to get my hair cut, but no more! This salon is beautiful and small so you don’t feel overwhelmed when you’re there. Trish does a nice haircut, listens to what you are looking for, and is great to be around. Most importantly, it was easy to style my new cut after my first at-​home wash. I’ll definitely be back!

Meghan changed my color today, and while I thought I was being difficult, she did exactly what I asked.

Just had my color done with Megan and I have to say, I feel amazing! The dimension and color contrast is perfect and the experience was incredible! It is really hard to find the right fit for blonds and I have quite a few other fabulous colorists that I would recommend, but for me and my hair, Megan got it SPOT ON! I don’t want to shun any one of my fellow colorists, just saying, Megan did a fabulous job!!! She has met the level, of caliber to be respected!

I happened upon Miller & Mane two ways. One was a very specific referral and also just needing a new colorist after having two «errors» to my head. So, I was browsing on Unilocal!and hadn’t seen the book an appointment tab before. They already had these great reviews but the person I was suppose to book with was unavailable for quite some time. But, I really do trust Unilocalers… and pulled the trigger and made the appointment through the App. At the end of the First Appointment, I had my hair restored! My Hair was corrected! Then… I’ve stayed guarded as I feel like you don’t know how good a colorist is until the 2^nd time… how well do they make your highlights connect to the last time. And my terrible luck has been where the person I find, takes off and leaves the salon with no notes… Well, yesterday was my 3^rd appt. Again, stellar hair! I have been seeing Megan who is sharp, really on the ball and clearly likes what she does as it shows when you come out of her chair! I can’t believe I Unilocaled my hair, but it worked!

I had my hair colored by Megan Carnevale at Miller and Mane, and she is spectacular. She did a great job, the color has lasted beautifully, and she has just about the kindest, sweetest energy that you’ll find. The salon is stylish, and Megan’s fab. Thank you! I’ll be back!

I loved this salon, adorable little spot! Megan is amazing with hair! Last time I wanted to go from red to blonde and she did an amazing job! I don’t trust a lot of people with my hair but I had no doubt she would do a wonderful job and she did! Going back to see her again next week!

I had my hair highlighted by Megan last week during my first visit to Miller and Mane. They seem to have top of the line stylists, and I found it to be an attractive salon with a friendly vibe. She was careful to follow my wishes, and I came out feeling that my color looked like I wanted. She also did some treatments that made my hair very soft, which was a real plus. In the next couple of weeks I plan to go back to Miller and Mane to see their stylist, Trish, who’s known for cutting hair very well. I would recommend this salon to someone who, like me, is looking for a new place with skilled stylists.

I was hesitant to write a review as I don’t want the word to get out and for it to be impossible to get an appointment. I’ve had my hair cut and colored for years at salons in San Francisco and a couple of times in Paris, and think Brooke and Sara are both excellent hair colorists, and Trish does a fantastic job with cuts.
I started having Brooke color my hair some 5+ years ago when I moved from San Francisco to Mill Valley. At the time she was working at Di Pietro, and I was tired of driving into the city to have someone color my hair at their salon on Fillmore street. I’ve also used Sara and she is equally as good as Brooke. I love them both!
I’ve had a hard time finding a good stylist in the 15+ years I’ve lived in the Bay area. Trish is a great stylist and always gives helpful tips and advice about how to style it, or battle the frizzes.
Megan, who works the front deck and helps out with shampoos, etc. is a sweetheart and makes you feel at home from the minute you walk in the door.
The salon is light and airy with the same super cool heat drying lamps that they have at David Mallett, one of the top salons, in Paris.
It can be busy on weekends or around holidays to be prepared to possibly wait 30 minutes or more. There are pleanty of magazines to keep you busy, as well as beverages and a jar of candy.
I’m thrilled that Brooke branched out on her own and opened up this fabulous new salon! It’s definitely the top salon in Marin.

Brooke is amazinggggg. I always get so many compliments on my hair after a visit to this salon. Brooke normally does Bayalage on my and it always comes out fabulously. Also the décor in the salon is adorable and all the products smell delicious!!!

I highly recommend Miller & Mane. When I returned home after my first appointment my husband said «You look like a model!» Very sweet and «no» he does not normally say things like that. Miller an Mane has a very relaxing spa like atmosphere where they will serve you bubbly water or a latte made to perfection. To top it off both Brooke and Trish are super cool and friendly.

Trish for a haircut, Brooke for color! I simply can’t say enough good things. From Heather at the front desk to Megan and her amazing shampoo massages/​perfect blowouts — the entire experience in the salon is the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve frequented salons in Santa Barbara, San Francisco and New York City). It’s beautiful and intimate inside, the ladies are so much fun, the lattes are delicious, and the stylists keep you current. Love it.

I came to Miller and Mane in a desperate state after my hair color had been badly done by a large salon in San Francisco. Brooke was immediately reassuring and spent quite some time showing me photos of models with highlights so she could understand exactly what I wanted. She worked her magic in under 75 minutes and I walked out of there feeling like a million bucks! I am very happy with my color and have booked another appointment in six weeks! I have finally found a perfect salon: thoroughly professional, very efficient, and excellent results. Thank you, Brooke! You are a true genius!

PERFECTION! I am in love with this salon. Brooke, one of the owners, does the most amazing hair color and is current in all the hair trends. Trish, the other owner, is so precise in her cuts. Yummy products, no wait time, beautiful salon. This is my favorite salon by far.

My husband starting seeing Sara when she was with Joe Hamer in Petaluma. He has gone to many salons over the years for color and cuts (his hair is a little longer and blonde, think modern surfer) and has found a few people that did ok but it was never quite what he wanted. He has also had some horror stories which actually led us to Sara. He tried a new salon after we moved to California and the color made him look like a woman and was way too blonde. After waiting a few weeks he was recommended to another salon where the woman told him that he needed to go brunette for a while and then she could bring him back to blonde. Well, she gave him burgundy hair! Like Sharon Osborne burgundy.
I cant remember how we heard of Joe Hamer but we called and explained the situation and that we needed to soonest appt. available. This is where Sara came in. After getting over the shocking color of his hair she told us what needed to be done. Not only did she fix the color but it was the best that it had ever looked. And the cut. It was like she read his mind. It was what he always pictured in his mind but for some reason was never able to put in words.
My husband saw Sara a few times after that for cuts/​color and it just kept getting better. Unfortunately, the Petaluma Joe Hamer location closed and Sara moved with them down to Mill Valley. My husband was not thrilled about driving that far for his hair (especially considering he is a man and already feels a little silly about what he spends on his hair) and tried to find someone that could replicate what Sara did but closer to home. He tried a few other salons that came highly recommended from friends but everyone came up short. After almost 2 years he decided that he needed to track down Sara.
We called Miller and Mane and he was able to get an appointment the next week. When he arrived for his appointment he was shocked to find out that Sara not only remembered him but things that they had talked about at past appointments. She even asked how our daughter was! My husband said the salon was decorated really nice with some unique touches. He was very impressed by the dryer they have there. Sara did a cut and color and it was just as good as he remembered. I don’t think my husband will ever consider going to another stylist again.

Getting my hair cut and colored can be unnerving, so when I can sit in a salon chair and feel the complete confidence of my colorist/​stylist it offers a much more enjoyable experience!
After years of trying to get my color right at various salons, Brooke has truly saved me. In my first visit she identified the problems my hair was having, the dryness, the color not matching my skin tone, the pieces which were over-​blonde and tired. With her quiet confidence she detailed each of the issues and offered workable solutions beginning with the right color, simple highlights and the right products.
I’ve been seeing her for about 3 months now and when I get blowouts once a week from a blow dry bar, they always remark on how good the color looks… that’s when you know it’s good!
Miller and Mane offers such a nice experience. It’s small and aesthetically lovely with lots of natural light, rustic touches and rich textures. They are always on time with my appointments. The entire staff is warm with a high attention to detail that makes you feel welcome and soothed. Very glad I found them!

Trish and the team at Miller & Mane are astounding.
They run a tight ship with beautiful hardwood floors, classy leather chairs, and a sleek vibe. The energy is very welcoming and immediately you feel at home. Trish took the utmost care to listen to my own concerns and observations about my hair and was able to give me a super sharp, sexy cut that reflects my personality and keeps me looking my best.
