Refresh, Skin by Isela

Isela is amazing! Her facials are relaxing, refreshing, and you can see instant results. After becoming a mommy (3.5 years ago), my skin really took a turn for the worse (hormones and whatnot). Isela has helped me balance and improve my skin which looks better than ever before. She is very knowledgeable and really listens to what your individual skin concerns are. I am so thankful for her. Also, the product line she carries (Epicuren) is wonderful! Isela is professional and I definitely recommend her for all of your skin needs.

I had my first facial with Isela yesterday and I have nothing but positive things to say about the entire experience. Isela was warm and friendly and made me feel comfortable from the second I walked in the door. Since it was my first facial with her she took the time to ask me about concerns and issues I was having with my skin (not everyone does that!). After the facial Isela helped me create a skin care regimen that would be easy to follow and affordable!
The room itself was inviting and relaxing– the music was perfect, I couldn’t have selected a better soundtrack myself! I left there feeling fantastic. I am definitely looking forward to my next appointment!

You must see Isela for all of your facial and waxing needs. She also does tinting. The best that I have ever had.

I had my first facial with Isela a few weeks ago and it was the best I’ve ever had. She takes her time, she is generous with the quantity of product she uses, she is thorough and with a great mini-​massage at the end. You leave feeling pampered and refreshed!

It’s been 2 years since my last review of Skin by Isela… and I still give Isela 5 stars. She is awesome! Facials, waxing, brow and lash tinting, massage… she does it all. She has never pressured me into getting additional services or products. If anything, she has always thrown in a couple of extras on the house.

I went in for a deep cleansing facial and it was a really refreshing experience. Isela is so nice — she immediately makes you feel comfortable — not pretentious at all. Extractions always suck, but she really is thorough, and the rest of the experience was so relaxing it almost made me forget about the unpleasant parts. She even gave me a foot massage! All of her products smell super good because they are all natural. She really takes her time, and at the end I felt like I was just getting advice from a good friend. She showed me some products that she thought would work for my skin (not expensive, by the way) — I said I was feeling poor lately, so she gave me a discount on the facial and I got the products too. All in all, a very pleasant experience — she is friendly yet professional and really knows her stuff.

I wanted to treat myself to a facial and glad that I selected Isela at Refresh. Her treatment room provides a warm and welcoming environment. The heated treatment bed was a nice touch.
The facial was thorough, yet gentle, and Isela is no stranger to performing extractions. I left there feeling relaxed and my skin looked great. After dealing with some breakout issues for a few months prior to my visit, it definitely disappeared after my visit to Refresh.

Very thorough. I have been looking for a facialist in the bay area, since I left Boston, who would do a thorough job and lots of extractions. Isela did a great job and made sure every pore was clean. I highly recommend her. I look forward to going again, but for now I’m just going to enjoy my clean skin and trying out the new products I got.

I was a bad girl, I went to a new facial place because they were having a special, what a waste of time. No one cleans my skin like Isela.

Isela is talented, professional, and as good as it gets. I highly recommend her. Her facials are gentle, but thorough. She gives a fantastic massage and her cosmetic offerings are great, too. My eyebrows have never looked better or more well-​groomed! I love having my eyelashes tinted, too. She’s very gentle and proficient.

It’s always a pleasure to visit Isela. No matter what the service she is providing, she is always competent and calm. I don’t trust my skin to most estheticians, as I have had decades of experience with amazing European and Russian trained professionals who taught me to have very high expectations. Not only do I trust Isela, but I started sending my children to her when adolescent acne became a problem for them.

Isela is awesome. I have been going to her for a few years and my skin has never looked better. Great natural products, Epicuren. I will never use anything on my face ever again! Head and foot massages, heated bed, calming sound effects, everything that equals the best facial you’ve ever had. She is super professional and fun. If she asks you if you use sunscreen on your face, take my advice and just say «yes.»
