I ate the blueberry and raspberry flavored yogurt to settle my heartburn and stomach. Voila! Worked like a charm, purged the crap out of me while supplying me some yummy goodness to push thangs along. You’ve won a new fan.

I absolutely LOVE Siggi’s, so I’d like to address a few of the points made in other reviews. While it used to only be found in stores like Whole Foods, you can now get it nearly everywhere… I’ve bought it from Target, Sprouts, and even Safeway. And regarding the price, it might be slightly more expensive at Whole Foods, but at the stores I listed it sells for $ 1.50 for 5.3 ounces. It is true that that is somewhat more expensive than, say Yoplait, but compare the ingredients and nutritional benefits(seriously, have you seen how much protein there is and how little sugar?!) and the taste and the texture(soooo thick, it’s wonderful) and I think it’s so worth it for the money. Oh – and they do also sell larger tubs of it now, too… at least in the plain.

I figured I’d help out here. Siggi’s is a good all around yogurt, especially for the budding Icelandic yogurt trend. Does it taste good? Yes. Would I rate it above probably 70 – 80 percent of the more budget market of yogurt, yes.(When i say that, I’m talking about brands that typically cost a dollar a cup and sweeten with a high fructose or other additive. I came upon this brand looking for a healthy yogurt that was simple and tasted good. I do like what I found. I also like that they pre-fabricate all of their yogurt cups so that you can dismantle them in one movement for cleaner recycling. My problems so far: Thus far, Siggi, you seem like a Whole Foods brand. I get it. I still wish you targeted some of us lower income folks though. We like to be healthy too.(When I say this I don’t just mean pricing but store availability. You should consider putting your product in other places if you can, not just Andronico’s and Whole Foods!) I think I got your product for about 2.50 at a local chain grocery. That seems pretty fair to me. Another thing I find disappointing is the lack of a larger tub for home use. Would love that. It would also address some people’s complaints about price. At least mine. That is, if you made the tub with a slight economic incentive(which is a totally reasonable and profitable thing to do, by the way.) There, now you have a genuine customer review from an actual human being. :) Cheers! A Reviewer

$ 3.49 for 6 ounces of decent yogurt. I repeat, $ 3.49 for 6 ounces of decent yogurt. It’s good but it ain’t worth the premium. When I saw the price I figured I had to try it — I mean, almost 40% more expensive than the next most expensive disposable carton yogurt on the shelf. I don’t know if there are any economic studies of yogurt pricing, but I doubt there’s as much price inelasticity here as the folks at Siggi’s wish for. But wait! it’s made in Chenango County NY! No doubt they’re taking their foodie street cred earned at the Union Square FM and the Chelsea Market and bringing such organic sophistication to us in the woefully under-organic yogurted Bay Area!!!

I recently tried this yogurt and WOW is it amazing! You can read all about this relatively new yogurt at
What I can tell you is that this Icelandic style strained non-fat yogurt is rich and creamy and incredibly delicious! Grab some the next time you are in Whole Foods and you too will be amazed!
