Simply Inspired delivers. The facility is immaculate. The staff are awesome. And it’s never a hassle to get an appointment. Even a same-​day appointment.
There really is no viable alternative. This is the place to go.

I scheduled the far infra red sauna, the first time I went it was great. The second time I went it was not so great. The sauna had not been warmed up so I sat in it for 20 minutes before I started sweating which means I only had 10 minutes of sweat time. I then called to make another appt. for the sauna and told them I would be there in a ½ hour (30 minutes). I called about 5 minutes after 11 which a half hour would be 11:35. They then scheduled someone for a 12:00 sauna. When I arrived I was told I could have a shorter sauna or wait 45 minutes until the 12:00 appt was finished. I was then told they were on a schedule! well to me 30 minutes means 30 minutes not 25 minutes! I will never go back. They were so rude about it and took no responsibility for their mistake. I’ll go to Evo instead.

Once again Simply Inspired «nailed it»! Jen’s touch was strong yet relaxing and restorative. Love the «on demand» model. Much as I love to have something to look forward to, it is often hard to plan in advance. So when you absolutely positively can’t wait another minute … it is nice to know you can count on Simply Inspired to deliver. Keep up the good work.

Almost tempted not to write a good review about this great, hideaway find. But, too good not to give credit where it’s due. (You know a place is going to be good when a smiling owner and her wagging dog greet you outside as she waters flowers). Perhaps here’s the best compliment I can give it: this is what Marin is all about (and used to be): kind people who genuinely care about how you feel, who provide incredible healing at a very fair price. Jennifer and Phil aren’t just masseuses — they are absolute healers. Can’t wait to return — thanks guys!

Sore next day after massage! No bueno.
My friend and I booked the reservation and about an hour before we went to the massage place. They quoted us a price of $ 85 over the phone and me both indicated we wanted deep tissue. At the end of our appointment turned out that we both had to pay $ 105 and they said that the prices have changed. That’s quite astonishing. I explain that to the person who clearly was likely the person that took my phone call but I wasn’t going to argue. I added a minimal tip and that was it. Highly not recommended. Do not be full by the five star recommendations as who knows who actually put them on, I highly doubt they were customers.

Leon and Kay are amazing! Leon was able to release tension in my back and used many different technics that improved it. Kay was gently yet was able to release tension in my shoulder and neck area! It was amazing, definitely would recommend anyone who is looking for a great tranquil massage!

I’ve been going to SIS (previously known as Joseph Smith’s massage) for almost 20 years. I’ve always had my favorite therapists, but recently I’ve been seeing Michael. Last night I had a 70 minute advanced therapy/​deep tissue session with Michael that left me feeling better than I’ve felt in years. In addition to being very experienced and knowledgable — he’s one gifted therapist, who’s touch always has the appropriate pressure, and he focuses exactly where it’s needed. He is intuitive and gentle — I was never in pain — as I have been with other deep tissue massage. The improved range of motion and pain relief I’m experiencing after two sessions with Michael are remarkable.
I also love the outdoor redwood hot tubs (always hot and clean) — especially on a chilly winter night — beautiful star gazing.

What a wonderful place. Thirty minute infrared sauna followed by a ninety minute massage — and I am a new woman. Ready for a really good night’s sleep.
Daniel, you are a good man, my friend. That was the best massage I have had in a long, long time.
All in a very down to earth, comfortable and relaxed environment. I’ll be back. Very soon.

Mac is incredible, as is Jennifer — and truly every therapist I’ve ever had. The owner curates an amazing collection of crystals from all around the world. Their scheduling is a breeze (last minute scheduling is often accommodated and for someone like me who keeps a flexible schedule this works GREAT), they are open late too.
I leave Simply Inspired feeling peaceful, relaxed and ready to take on life’s challenges. Cannot thank them enough.

I saw Laurel Thorton for message and she is wonderful. I’ve been holding a lot of tension all over recently and Laurel’s technique was on target for releasing it. The spa is tucked away at the bottom of a hillside and speaks «peace» the moment you open the front door. I love the décor. I hope to try their hot tubs in the near future.

I have been getting massages and using the wonderful outdoor hot tubs here for at least 10 years and it was time for me to share what a great place this is. The therapists are all very talented and professional and work wonders on my body.
The space itself is very clean, holistic, and soothing.
If you are in Marin or even in SF (a short drive over the bridge) and are looking for a top notch place for a relaxing spa and massage, there is no better place to go than Simply Inspired.

Always loved going here for massage and hot tub… I still do but I give low marks for charging by the person for hot tub. My friends who were homeless from the valley fire visited and I wanted to give them a soak in the hot tub… didn’t realize it would cost $ 50 for a 45min soak for two… not cool

I used to come to this place in it’s former existence (F. Josephs) and I must say the new owners have re-​done this place RIGHT! First, they cleaned up the house and built a beautiful new interior. It’s much brighter, more welcoming and relaxing. The staff was very welcoming and friendly when we came in — always a good sign. Secondly the hot tubs are still private and an awesome place to soak for a few minutes and relax. Third; the massage i had was quite good. My masseuse gave me a gentle but strong massage — enough to make me relax but also to really dig into my sore muscles. This is a great place to escape for a few hours with a friend or partner to soak in the tub and get an excellent massage. I am glad the owners have put so much care into this place as it shows. I look forward to coming back again.

Simply Inspired Spa should rename its place ‘Simply Amazing Spa’. After a long flight from Thailand and fighting jet lag, I decide to book a massage with Kevin. I told Kevin I feel pain down my legs and feel stiff. Kevin got to work and used strong pressure points to iron out all of my knots. While his work is intense, I felt the pain down my leg quickly disappear.
After that amazing massage from Kevin, I wasn’t quite ready to leave the spa yet. My limbs felt like al dente pasta and I didn’t want to be behind the wheel. I asked about the infrared sauna and the owner kindly walked me through the procedure and the rest of the spa area. She showed me the private hot tub, outdoor shower, indoor shower and changing rooms.
After taking a nap in infrared sauna for 30 min, I felt like a new man. Thank you Simply Inspired Spa. I’ll be back again after another long flight from Thailand.

I had high hopes for this place but was very disappointing.
We have been to many, many spas all throughout the country and this experience was not one of the best.
Positives– Front desk is friendly. Outside private hot tub was nice.
Negatives–
No Spa Robes!!! — we had multi services that day and it is a pain to have to change in & out of your clothes in between services. Most day spa offers spa robes to help ease this transition, but this spa does not. They do offer sarongs/​bathing suit cover ups– But they are flimsy and small. If you are a larger person or man, this might be very uncomfortable to be rolling around the spa in.
Sauna– I specifically asked if it was private and they had said yes. But truly it is not. While you on the only one in it, when you step out you are in a common area. Most spas I have been to with «private saunas» have fully enclosed with a private resting area. If you are going to do a 60min session you cannot sit in the sauna the entire time, you have to step out for a break. At this spa it was very uncomfortable to do so.
Changing Area– Semi Private. While there is a curtain to cover your closet you are in, the dressing rooms are in middle of wait room/​walk way.
Massage– WORST PART. Had a couples massage and my therapist was constantly talking to the other therapist. There was an issue with the music, it kept on stopping, and every time my CMT would talk about it out loud. This happened several times. It was fine w/​out the music and they should have just let it be. The silence would have been way better than him talking throughout my massage. At one point he let out a huge laugh– VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND NOT RELAXING AT ALL.
After my massage I notified the front desk of what just happened. She was sweet about it and said she would tell the manager who would then contact me. NO ONE EVER REACHED OUT TO ME REGARDING THIS EXPERIENCE.
All in all, I am very disappointed in our visit and will never go back.

This place is a gem! Just got the best massage of my life from Mac, highly recommended!

This review is for massage therapist Maryah. Simply put — BEST DEEP TISSUE I’ve ever had. I’d been struggling and getting chiropractic care for over a month with a very aggravated nerve and sharp pains in my left shoulder area, but after her deep tissue is went away and I could sleep a full night and not wake up in scorching pain. Life. Saver.
The sauna outside is Rad and they give you sarongs and I love the whole vibe here — I’ll be back again and again!

We were staying in Sausalito and hoped to get a massage at our hotel, but they were booked. It was pure luck by which I found Simply Inspired Spa and am so glad I did! My husband and I each had 90 minute deep tissue sessions with Daniel and Michael, they were both AMAZING! My husband and I have chronic issues, but after our massages, we felt so relaxed and slept like babies. We will definitely book with Daniel and Michael again when we are in Sausalito.
I should add that I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and have had a tremendous amount of body work, but this session was one of the best.

This place is pretty cool for a nice relaxing spa. The tubs are outside so you get the nice fresh air while looking up at the stars. Very clean place too and friendly staff. I’ve always called ahead to book a time slot since I live an hour away, but they always have the time I want. I’ve been here twice and have only tried the tubs but I would like to try the sauna next time I go.
