I just left my first visit to the parlor and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome! I had a major color correction which she handled with ease, she got my hair back to the color I prefer on myself with an amazing cut specifically for curly hair without taking off length to add! Marissa is a miracle worker and I can’t recommend her more highly.

I just had my first visit with Marissa Englund at the Parlor I have been looking for a good stylist that knows color correction after several salons not knowing what they are doing and having horrible results. Marissa did her magic and knows color correcton and a great hair cut! I love the Davine products my hair looks awesome and really love it and my husband loves it! I have found my stylist please go to Marissa she really knows what she is doing and our hair will be so beautiful. It was worth driving from Rohnert Park to Mill VAlley!

I absolutely love The Parlor. Everyone that works there is incredibly talented, and in particular, Jaime. Jaime is professional, thorough, and has a trained eye for detail. Most importantly, Jaime actually listens to me, which I really appreciate. The salon is pieced together so beautifully, and it is in such a convenient location in Mill Valley. I have definitely found my new hair-​heaven. :)

Marissa is terrific! She corrected my blonde color and cut my hair with finesse! I had gone to another Mill Valley salon, well recommended, which cost considerably more and which did not compare to the quality of Marissa’s work. The Parlor also has a friendly and welcoming vibe. Thank you Marissa!

She is such a great colorist and cutter. My hair looks wonderful. She listened to what I wanted, was a comfortable and friendly person to spend a couple of hours with and I am so pleased with the results. The products smelled good, but not overpowering, and the prices were so reasonable.

An awesome massage at The Parlor by Kelly.
I have been looking for a massage therapist that is highly trained and that’s when I found Kelly at The Parlor. Her knowledge and practice in the healing arts left me feeling better than I have in a long time.
Kelly listened to my needs: neck, shoulders, left hamstring and low back and addressed each area. It is important to me to find a Massage Therapist who listens.
At one point I was so relaxed I fell asleep. I left feeling fresh and revitalized.
Today I feel less pain in my low back and have more range of motion in my upper body.
The Parlor is an inviting space in Mill Valley that offers many services, including massage.
I highly recommend going to The Parlor for a massage by Kelly.

Last week I wrote a negative review in response to their lack of communication during the process of booking an appointment. I tried contacting them by phone for two weeks with no reply and was finally able to reach them via email where they told me I may have been calling the «wrong place.» I responded with a screen shot of the phone number I had been calling where they confirmed that it was the right number and we began to negotiate an appointment time. Shortly after I sent the time that I wished to be seen, I was responded with
«No. Just saw that you posted a negative Unilocal review and we are not interested in seeing you.

This is the absolute worst customer service I have ever received and I can only hope for their future business that they consider treating customers with a little more respect and they can start by answering their damn phone.

Jamie is an artist at coloring. I have naturally curly hair and I’m over joyed I found someone who knows how to cut it as well. Super talented .
I get so many compliments on my hair color and I just really like being there. It’s a low key unpretentious and really pretty and salon, lots of pretty wood and natural daylight. Really Healthy hair products too! I like to exhale there. Great place!
I’ve had other stylists work on my hair too and the standard is high, I’ve never been disappointed.

Having your overly-​complicated hair addressed by professionals is one of life’s unexpected pleasures. Having Marisa take the scientific approach and artistically address my complex cowlicks was awesome.
I felt like I’d walked into a cabal of architect mages who were able to plot the paths my scalp offered up and bend the outcome to their loving will. And it looked even better the next day — which is often not the case when you get your haircut.
This place is a rare find and the talent inherent is magical. Hooray for the Parlor!

Celeste did a blow out on my hair and it was amazing! I have very challenging hair (super curly, long, thick) and she was able to straighten it with just a blow dryer and a round brush! It was super smooth, shiny and soft! I still can believe she didn’t use a flat iron even a little bit to get the result I got! I feel like a new woman! This girl has skills and is very down to earth and cute. Can’t wait to see her again! Maybe next time a cut and color.

Marissa has been doing my color for a while now and it is always amazing. Creative and beautiful. I highly recommend her and the salon.

I went to the Parlor this week for the first time. I had an excellent experience! My hair is graying so Marissa did base color as well as highlights and low lights. It looks very nice and natural. I appreciated how Marissa and Jamie, the owner, discussed my color strategy together first. I liked the extra collaboration since new color can be a bit scary. The Parlor has a very nice vibe, both casual and professional at the same time. I will be back!

Celeste saved my hair. I am one of those people who lets their hair go for years, and by the time it became obvious to me that I had let it go TOO long, my hair was really really long.
I wanted to lose the stringy broken ends but keep all my length and maybe do an edgy dye job, but keep it classy and professional and versatile. Yeah right.
I was searching for a classy salon with young people working there, so that I could get an honest second opinion. When I sat down with Celeste she gave it to me straight: I had let my hair grow too long for too long. It was thin and damaged, but she came up with a plan to remove all the damage and set me up with a cut and style that I could let grow out. She is clearly an expert at her craft, as she gave me the impossible: a style that was sleek but still long with soft layers and just a little bit of the perfect high/​low light to bring out some vibrancy (I semi-​affectionately call the natural color of my hair «mouse brown»).
Now my hair is growing out and it still looks great. She managed to give me just what I needed despite my near-​impossible expectations. I have found my hair guru!

Celeste was a last minute substitute when I arrived and despite a minute or so of hesitation I decided any hair love was better than no hair love so I accepted her kind offer to fill in. I’m not a veteran salon goer for color so it took me awhile to explain myself using far, far too many adjectives.
15 minutes of me saying I wanted a «natural look» dye job without ever actually using the words «natural» or «look» until she suggested it; 2 minutes explaining my uneven ends (self cut) and 1 minute flashing a pic of Rose Byrne saying I liked her haircut (so did Celeste) and we were off. Fast forward 90 or so minutes later — yadda, yadda, yadda — and here I am so divinely happy that I had to write a review.
Color was spot on with what I wanted (natural, using my summer-​long, sun streaked hair for blended highlights) and the cut — well hell yes, it looked a LOT like Rose’s in the photo! I couldn’t have been happier. Celeste is super chill, easy to gab with, very relaxing to be around. We had good hair talk about products, coconut oil, and coloring. She complimented my hair so casually but so sincerely that I left with renewed gratitude for what has mostly been, in my adult life, wash and go lifestyle hair.
Lessons learned? Celeste is wonderful and Parlor is an oasis of calm. Also, you can read reviews until you go crazy trying to pick a stylist, but sometimes if you roll the dice you find a hidden gem.

This place is fantastic. Jamie does the most amazing color and knows how to compliment your complexion. It took me a long time to find someone this good, highly recommend her.

I’m not the first or the last to say this – go see Vanessa! She’s amazing, makes me feel gorgeous every time she cuts my hair. So lucky to have a top of the line stylist in my own backyard.

I have been going to Benny for many many years! I love what he does with color and I love the cuts and layers he puts in my hair. I often have people ask who does my hair and I am always so happy to say BENNY! He’s so much fun to talk to and he wants to give you what you want. He tells me to come back if I want any quick fixes to detail that I discover later which I appreciate. but I haven’t taken him up on it because I love what he does! Highly Recommended! Also, this salon is awesome! I love the way it is set up and it is comfortable, modern and everyone is super nice and helpful and easy going!
I love going there!

Had an amazing experience here. Made an appointment with my livingsocial deal. They were able to get me in within the week. Walked into my appointment and fell in love with the décor. They have several beautiful hanging wood shelves that their products sit on.
My appointment was with Vanessa. I was a bit unsure of what I wanted but she listened to everything I said and spent two hours perfecting my cut. Of course I miss my long hair a bit but my hair feels and looks so healthy now. Vanessa did an amazing job and I definitely plan on coming back to the Parlor.
