I’m updating my previous review because they’ve upgraded the refrigerators in several sections of the store. which were overdue. I also want to mention that their produce seems a lot better than Safeways — especially the pears(some of safeway’s pears look like they come from mars). Customer service is good too and its not as crowded as Safeway which is nice. I also got a couple of nice knives for free through their rewards program by collecting stamps.

I come to Lucky every now and then to pick up groceries. Parking is never a problem. I’m always in and out with speedy self check out.

Sad they got rid of their gas rewards card. But their customer service is really good. Also they close at midnight and open at 6am which really sucks if I start work early, I won’t be able to get some snacks!

We got food poisoning from the wings or from one of the sandwiches. It wiped us out for the next day, and I’m confident it’s from this store because we hadn’t eaten anything else all day. Store management please take note! You have to thaw the wings fully before cooking them. Also whoever is doing the food prep needs better training.

You know what I like about this place? The fact that they are cheap. I mean sh*t I love me some whole foods but men sometimes you just want something that won’t break the bank. I do like their self check-out, shout out to Han! Lastly I did buy some of their produce and I think the quality is not bad.

I usually go to Safeway but decided to try somewhere new. I am new to the bay area and not used to this store. When I walked inn I was immediately greeted by Maria(blonde Hispanic lady) who was amazing, helpful, and knowledgeable of her store. People like her who give outstanding customer service make me want to drive an extra mile for my shopping experience. Thank you Lucky for Having someone like Maria.

This was a large Lucky store and I’ve been here a bunch of times in the past when I was in the area. My latest visit was when I was waiting to pick up my dad from SFO. I stopped by here to buy a couple water bottles and something from the deli. It was in the afternoon so there weren’t a lot of choices; in addition, the deli was closed when I went so really I got whatever was left. Of course, I could have saved money but I was starving. lol The rows appeared to be organized as I walked over to pay for the items. Since I don’t live in California, I forgot that there were no plastic bags so I carried everything in my arms to the car. If I’m ever in the area and need something quick from a grocery store, then I’d come here.

Lucky’s is one of the stores I go to often. I’ve really appreciated their commitment to offering more and more organic produce. Recently, I’ve seen a wider variety of grass fed beef, and organic dairy products. While Safeway carries only the disreputable«Horizon» organic dairy products, Lucky offers a better selection. It would be nice to see some higher end foods like hazelnut oil, or sherry vinegar, but for the most part, I can get everything I need at this store because of it’s huge selection. The new bulk bins are really helpful when the recipe calls for 1⁄3 cup raisins, ¼ cup coconut, etc. The checkers are great, and always pleasant. I feel fortunate to have Lucky’s nearby.

I never find everything I need. Not sure how the manager became a manager. Fresh produce and fruit section, not so fresh. The commercial says they get checked 5 times before they reach the store. Maybe if they only checked it 3 times to save some time and get them there before they wither… Their self check outs are always busted with a note on them, or I have to wait for an associate to come swipe their card for no reason. When they give you a bag, they make sure you get your 10 cents worth and cram all your s#!% inside so the handles can break when you get to your car. I’m thinking to just go across the road where I can pay the same price for some quality stuff at Lundari’s.

I like this Lucky location. It’s clean, easy to get in and out of. The staff is nice and helpful. It is not too far from where I live, but it is two cities from my location and I really don’t mind driving to get there just because I like this location far better.

This review is for the fresh produce section. It’s a hit or miss. There are days when the fruits and vegetables look great, and there are days when the fruits and veggies are looking scary… I’d rather buy the fruits and veggies at a Farmers Market or pay extra at Lunardi’s which is next door.

I really like this place and I’m glad it’s in my neighborhood. It’s open early and close late and has great low prices that are much better than Lunardi’s across the street with almost-as-good produce. I used to go here for Sunkist pummelos(giant sweet grapefruit) in the winter, which Lunardi’s or even Whole Foods wouldn’t stock. It also has great prices in their meat department, like $ 8/lb ribeyes. and $ 2/lb chicken, or $ 1/lb chicken thighs, or $ 8/lb farmed salmon, which is a fantastic price. It’s so big so it stocks a ton of stuff that other groceries around the area don’t, like tons of different brands of chips and whatnot. However, I really REALLY hate the way they put cans of steel cut oats in the health food aisle rather than in the breakfast cereal aisle. I have wandered around this huge store for 10 – 15 minutes twice now trying to find the specific brand of oatmeal. it’s just incredibly stupidly planned out on their part. At least the self checkouts are nice, though sometimes I don’t have much luck with them.

They open early and they close late. So close to work and i know where things are so i can always but things quickly here especially that they have self– service paying machines and we get along pretty well now, unlike before that they delay me instead. lol They have red box machines here too, coin exchange, Bank of America ATM, water refilling station, almost everything U might need. … just got Lucky!

Eh, fried chicken. 8 pieces for $ 7.99. I dont understand why you dont just go to KFC… This is fit for a craving + convenience. The grocery store itself is fine. AND… This is review #99. I hope #100 will be AMAAAAZZZIIIIINNG.

This Lucky has been my spot since I moved to B Game. They have majority of what I look for. I’ve never had issue with service. Parking is good, so is location.
