Amazing! Had a different appliance repair company look at our dishwasher and they said we need a new pump. Their estimate seemed high so I called Otto to get an estimate from them on the same job. They quoted much less so I arranged the service. When they came to replace the motor they found that it didn’t need a new motor… just needed a deep clean. We ended up spending $ 135 instead of $ 650. And they were totally nice and friendly. I could not recommend them more!

Back in October, Angelo came over within a day of my calling him to repair my Thermador wall oven. He discovered that it needed a discontinued part, but he was able to find one in his truck. Did the repair in half an hour, at a very reasonable charge. Educated me about issues re these finicky ovens. This guy is great. Oven performed beautifully through the holidays.

$ 105 for 5 minute estimation, not even any attempt to fix anything. You’ll be trapped from the minute calling them.
My gas cook top is not working. With a great Unilocal review score, I called Otto’s Appliance Service. A lot of Unilocal reviews said that they offer same day service but not this time. I told the gentleman that my gas cook top doesn’t work because probably spark module doesn’t work. I tried it with external lighter and it works. Two days later they sent David over. I expected David to do the fix and took a day off. What he actually did is to take a look at the cook top and tried with his lighter and told me that he guess spark module doesn’t work. I said yes that’s my guess as well. And he left me a estimation of $ 366 dollar to replace it and charged me $ 105 dollar for this 5 minutes work.
This experience reminds me the sales skill that charges you significantly up front to lock you in. In economic term this is called sale-​with-​sunk-​cost. The itemized estimation is crazy. The part costs $ 125 and labor costs $ 241. The service guy himself commented with a shrug that I should go get a new one. What Otto’s Appliance Service ends with is either $ 105 for 5 minutes work or $ 366 for simply replacing a spark module. They are in such an advanced situation than their customers that they’ll make money either way.
Customers are basically trapped from the minute they called them. I tried to contact back and it’s not helping. With the new generation of online service provider, I couldn’t believe such business model is still running at ground level. No wonder people are investing in new business model to renovate the industry.
I’m not happy and hope anyone reading this could get an idea of how their business run and think if you will like that yourself.

I have used them twice on our failure-​prone Thermador oven and they have been professional, accurate, high integrity, and reasonably priced both times. Highly recommend these guys and will call them the next time our oven breaks (which it undoubtedly will). The only drawback is that due to having a good reputation, they sometimes aren’t available for an appointment for 1 – 2 weeks. Worth the wait if you ask me, particularly after having had negative experiences with other repair people.
BTW Thermador ovens are total crap, with lots of planned-​obsolescence failure prone parts and poor engineering design, despite being a supposedly premium brand. I would never ever buy one again, but as long as I’m stuck with one, I’m glad I have Otto’s to fix it when it breaks.

Angelo from Otto’s Appliance service showed up very promptly as scheduled. He identified the problem in under a minute and showed me (I was able to photo and video) and explained to me the issue. Angelo gave me the options of how to repair the problem/​leak with our disposal.
With my authorization, Angelo went to work repairing the issue. Fixed and done in around 20 minutes. Angelo showed me the parts and explained what might have been at fault causing our leak.
Great service. Knowlegeable and efficient. Priced fairly.

I have an 18 year old Bosch dishwasher that was making strange noises. It has been a workhorse and this is the first time it needed a repair. I made the mistake of trying to fix it myself, then finally gave in and called Otto’s. This is the second appliance I have had them repair (Thermador double wall oven) and couldn’t have been more pleased with their ability to diagnose and fix the problem quickly. Thank you once again Otto’s!

My Bosch dishwasher wasnt working. So I called Bosch to schedule a service call. They suggested I reach out to Otto, as he is the closest authorized repair service in my area. I am glad I called. Angelo was on time, immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed it within 1 hour. Couldn’t be happier. Would use them again without hesitation.

Great service. Called last week when the diswasher started smoking (never a good thing!). Received an appointment for today, Tuesday. Dave was running a bit late and called me to let me know. Great! I get that service people can run late at times and it is so nice when they actually call you to let you know.
Dave sorted out the problem quickly and had my dishwasher running again. It’s not cheap, but then what is these days in NoCal.
Make this place your first call for an appliance service. They are wonderful and I would recommend them to anyone.

These guys are the best. They showed up and quickly fixed my whirlpool dryer and then when I asked if they fix BBQs, Dave asked what kind. We have a viking, which is a brand they don’t fix. But since he was there for the dryer anyway, he took a look and figured out the problem. He only charged me for half an hour of time and was super-​nice. Highly recommend!

They came quickly (same day that I called) and were very pleasant and eager to help. So 5 stars on that front. The only downside is that they didn’t diagnose the problem with my Thermador dishwasher correctly. The tech that came said that suds remaining on the bottom after the wash cycle was «normal». That’s not the way it used to work, so I had the Thermador factory service people come out. They correctly identified the problem as too much rinse aid (although they did not realize the cause was the rinse aid dispenser was malfunctioning). For the visit, Otto’s charged $ 130 versus $ 90 charged by the Thermador factory service people.

Great service. Needed a new In-​Sink-​Erator hot water dispenser installed and purchased all the replacement parts myself. Otto’s saved me money by NOT installing what I didn’t need, like the new faucet. So, I can get my money back on that! The new unit came with a new filtration set but we didn’t need to install that either. So, I’ll keep that for when I do need it, which may be never. Very friendly service both prompt and honest. He didn’t even charge me the quoted cost because I ended up needing so little done. Love it!

After looking at Unilocal reviews, we called Otto’s Appliance Service because our Bosch dishwasher wasn’t getting the dishes clean any longer. Angelo came out at the appointed time and gave the machine a good cleaning, gave us pointers on how to take care of it, and made suggestions for the right kind of dishwashing detergent. He was terrific and the cost was very reasonable. This was back in June, and the machine is working perfectly fine. Thanks, Angelo.

Wow super helpful! I called with a question about my fridge, not a repair. Angelo was kind enough to spend 10 minutes on the phone with me going over my situation even though they don’t work on refrigerators. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions.
That is genuine customer service and an all around nice gesture.
Would defiantly call again for repair work.

Otto was prompt, professional, and courteous. He ran the diagnostics on our older model stove and made several calls to check for availability of parts. Although it turned out that the needed parts are no longer available, we appreciated that he was forthright and honest.

Otto’s repaired my Bosch dishwasher. The service rep was on time, courteous, and efficient. He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it, then showed me how to prevent it from happening again. Very reasonable bill. I’ll definitely call on them again.

Otto’s is the real deal. There’s a real Otto and they do excellent appliance repair. All staff has decades of experience and they work efficiently to get the job done. I’ve used them for 2 different Bosch appliance problems and the repair process was painless. They know appliances so well that they make the job look easy… even when it’s not. I find their prices to be very fair and their attention to detail is awesome. Love these guys who keep my household humming!

I had a leaking hot water dispenser and Otto’s came out, replaced the hosing and went on his way. Honest, polite and efficient — pretty much sums it up!

Great service. They solved our problem and also noticed and fixed two other problems with our dishwasher and garbage disposal. Very friendly and willing to explain things. I now know more about my dishwasher and how it works.
