Walked in and was rudely greeted by a portly blonde women. She asked me what I was there for and I said a pair of boots. She asked me if there was anything in particular I was looking. I asked what they had in my size and she dismissed me by saying that they don’t carry my size and it would be a week be I could get something to try on there. I asked if she could check another store and she said no. I asked for the phone number of the nearest store and it pained her to write it down for me. What ever happen to good customer service l?

I can say I’ve never had a bad experience at any red wing store. Super awesome staff at every store. Today Steve helped me and I’m always amazed with each Associate’s knowledge of their shoes/boots. As soon as I came in he greeted my wife and I even though he had a couple of other people in the store that he was working with already. He directed us towards the style of shoes I needed for work for standing long durations of time. There were a pair of shoes that he didn’t have in my size and he was happy to help me check the other stores in the area. Great source of information for any questions I had about pretty much anything! I might be returning the shoes as I found a super inexpensive pair that work just fine for standing long periods of time. I do like that they have a $ 15 off check in. Only thing is it doesn’t say off a specific amount and when I went back to buy a bunch of socks the lady said it had to be off like $ 100 or $ 150 or something… well that sux!

Just got my first pair of red wings. Totally stoked on them. The store was exactly what I wanted out of it and the help was amazing. I definitely would recommend them to friends. The staff is extremely knowledgable and even talked about how much they love there own red wing shoes. The gentleman even said he had 4 pairs of different colors of the ones I was looking at. Amazing.

I had the good fortune of being given a fantastic Irish Setter boot for Christmas. Sadly it didn’t fit as I have really wide feet. SO… I sent it back to the store. I ordered a similar boot in the same size, fit better, poorly made. After the second return to an online store, I decided to try a brick and mortar shoe store and went to the Red Wing Store in Millbrae. My first visit, i was disjointed to find they didn’t carry the Irish Setter line in that store. I explained the situation and the sales person(Steve) indicated width is a funny thing, different from shoe to shoe and even a half size makes a big difference. He then proceeded to help me find a nice boot he had in the store AND ordered me the boot I wanted in two additional sizes. Yes I paid for the boot as he ordered them. He set aside the back up plan boot and a week later I was called by another sales person from Red Wing. Imagine my delight to go in and find the boots I actually wanted fit great in a half size larger than I’d normally take. I was also asked did I know about the Red Wing Guarantee… Suffice it to say its amazing and includes complimentary maintenance of your boots. A third sales person stated«Bet the online shoe store didn’t tell you about that.» No they did not. Red Wing rocks, and my feet are very happy.

The store was very nice & clean. Came in on a Saturday, the guy behind the counter was very nice, welcoming and informative. He knew the merchandise and told us pros and cons with each shoe with the line of work that it was being used for. VERYHELPFUL!!! He all gave us his information just in case we had any questions or concerns after the purchase and we can come directly to him. I like that. As a Red Wing first timer, I was impressed!

Poor customer service. Salesmen calls you«man», not sir. I’m middle aged so I don’t want to hear that from a twenty something, very disrespectful. Its like their doing you a favor to sell you shoes in an empty store. Kinda of combative know it all attitude. «You’re all set» I guess is the new thank you have a nice day. Go to the daily city location instead.

I always go here to get shoes for my husband. The staff is super friendly and they know what they’re talking about. The shoes are super high quality but you’re going to pay top dollar for them. Definitely five stars because you always get a consistently good experience. Amazing customer service!

We just bought my husband his 2nd pair of red wings. He needed a pair of steel toed boots for work. We got the first pair about 6 months ago, and when we walked in today Nicole remembered us right away. They serviced my husbands first pair for free while we looked for his new pair. She and the other associated in the store were so helpful answering all of our questions. Completely patient and kind with our 3yr old and 10 month old. She assisted my husband in trying on 5 pairs on shoes, always with a smile on her face. She is extremely knowledgable, and friendly. Will definitely return for a slip on pair in the next few months!

Recently purchased a pair of $ 300+ boots here, and while the boots are outstanding and everything I would expect from Red Wing, the service wasn’t the greatest this time around. I don’t live close to this Red Wing location, but made a point to make the drive because of the service that I had received previously from an employee named Carter. I’m not sure what happened to this guy, but I’ve never experienced the level of service that he was able to provide. It’s a shame that he’s apparently moved on. Others could certainly learn a thing or two about how to treat a customer from him.

Walked in after getting my tax return. I had seen the Iron Ranger boots online and immediately fell in love with them… however I wasn’t sure how RW sizes compared to normal sizes. I figured I would get my feet measured, try on a boot or two, just for kicks. Carter, the store manager is the man. He made me feel at home, had me sit in his fitting chair, measured my feet, explained to me about my feet width(he could tell my right was a tad bit wider than my left) and was just awesome. I work in the shoe department of a big box retail store and let me tell you that Carter’s customer service ran circles around our entire department’s! They didn’t have the boot at the store, but he placed the order right then and there and two weeks later, I now have a pair of handmade, made in America Iron Ranger boots!

I recently went to Red Wing’s shoe store to get a new pair of work boots. When I walked in I was greeted by Carter the store manager and Lou. I explained to them that I broke my leg a couple of months ago and need the best work boots they have. They both double checked my shoe size and gave me there full attention. They also showed me some support inserts. They showed me a different way of lacing my boots for maximum support for my ankle. Carter and Lou were both knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend there store to anyone! Thank you for the best pair of boots I have bought.
