I wish this wasn’t the closest subway to my house or else I’d go somewhere else. They only have ONE person working in the evening. One person doing it all, making sandwiches and ringing people up. It takes FOREVER to get a sandwich here. I feel super bad for the lonely soul that works at nights with a line of 5+ people waiting and getting pissed. NOTETOMANAGEMENT: Stop being so cheap and hire someone else to help out. Seriously.

Terrible service. I don’t expect much from a «fast food» restaurant but basic customer service I do expect. The easiest way to retain a customer is to do basic serving. I ordered a chopped salad with tuna and made with mostly spinach. In the middle of making my order(saying the phrase above) another customer came in whom the server knew. He spoke loudly and in Spanish. Then began making my salad while still speaking in Spanish to the other person. The Spanish part didn’t bother me, the lack of service and consideration did. He didn’t ask what I wanted on it. When he grabbed mostly iceberg I mentioned spinach again; he seemed disturbed I was interrupting his conversation. When it came to the tuna he had less than 2 scoops even after scraping the container. Instead of getting another container or explaining they had no more in the back, he simply left the 1 and ½ scoop and continued talking. Basic customer service asks questions and tries to give what you ask for. Stellar service sees your needs before they come up and delivers. Terrible service ignores you and doesn’t give a shit! Who trained your staff? I suggest giving a mandatory customer service service class to all employees.

The person who made my sandwich was very rude. When I asked him to put little extra olives he said it’s going extra charge.

First time I went here I already had a bad experience when it comes to their customer service but then I decided to come back to at least give them another shot but I would definitely say they had the worst customer service. Employees doesn’t know how to respect their customers.

Below is a copy of my complaint to the San Mateo County Health Department: The past two times I’ve visited this Subway(3⁄12 and 3⁄19), the restaurant has been in disarray. The workers do not wear hats or hairnets. They also do not wash their hands before making sandwiches, or after handling cash. The tables in the lobby are dirty. The floor is sticky. The restaurant has an odor of rotting food. Most disturbingly, there appears to be an infestation of fruit flies or similar organisms. The workers have been keeping the cold case closed, but when they open it to make a sandwich, the flies go into the meat and vegetable area. On 3/19, my server was attempting to wave away the flies with one hand while putting the ingredients into my sandwich with his other hand.

Trust me, I love Subways and their $ 5 footlong deal. However, the service is bad. I usually order a BLT $ 5 Footlong because it’s my favorite. Getting that a lot, it always come out to be $ 5.45. Like I stated earlier, the service is bad. One of the worker there charged me couple months ago, $ 6.27 for my footlong. I told him that I ordered a footlong, and his reply was, «Ok. So what? What’s the problem?» I told him that I was charged with the wrong price, and then he gave me a dirty look and changed the price to the correct value. I wasn’t mad about it or anything, but I was just amazed with the service I received. I let it slide this time. However, couples of week after that, I went back to get Subways with my friends, and the same worker was there. Got the same thing, a BLT Footlong. Before I paid, I told him, this is a BLT Footlong. He then gave me a rude look and said yes without even looking at me and rolled his eyes. When he charged me, he said that it’s $ 6.27. I was shocked that he said $ 6.27 because my friend ordered a footlong before me and paid $ 5.45. I told the worker that this is the 2nd time this happened and I wasn’t happy that he gave me attitude and charged me $ 6.27. He then changed the price back to $ 5.45 and looked like he didn’t care and wanted to mess around with me. Today, I went to get Subways with my brother. This time, the same worker was there. However, he wasn’t on the cash register. He was the one who took my order, while his fellow coworker was running the cash register. When I went to pay, he then walked over to his coworker and told him to charged me $ 6.27(by speaking softly in Spanish), and when the coworker charged me, he said that my BLT Footlong is $ 6.27. I was very mad about this and that was my last straw! I told him that the service I am receiving is bad and that what they are doing is unprofessional. However, did they care? No. The customer service there is very bad! They’re rude and don’t care at all about what they’re doing. If you’re reading this, make sure they do not charge you the wrong price like that did to me because they’re messing around or being whatsoever. We are customers at their place, and we deserve better service from those workers. I don’t think I will be going back to the Subways in Millbrae ever again until they change their attitude. There are probably other better Subways with better customer service. With bad service like these workers have, they will drive away customers.

Wasn’t impressed with the service. For subway, the food quality is standard across the board, so you are planing to stand out and differentiate yourself, you need to improve your service and interactions with customers. I would appreciate some courtesy. I felt like I was being pushed out and the guy didn’t really care while he was making my sandwich. Not to mention that I was the only one in the store. I don’t I will be back anytime soon until these issues improve.

Pretty typical Subway. The employees were a bit more polite than average, and the store was a bit more clean than average, so four stars sounds about right for a Subway like every other Subway but a click better than the average Subway.

This one is a lot nicer than the other one in Millbrae, and closer to where I live, but I’d definitely frequent the other one if it weren’t for these factors. The food at this own isn’t so bad, but the customer service is always well below the par of cheerful, and too pleasant. I’ve been here for a year and always experience a mediocre experience. The new guy Richardo seems helpful, however.

I have to say busy or not service and quality should still be given to the customer! Ordered the daily special meal and the guy making my sandwich was literally making my sandwich didn’t look appealing at all. My bread was falling apart. My veggies was all over the place out and in of the sandwich and wrap. Seriously? This is the first and last time ill come here for sure.

I’m pretty sure that the rude guy that works here who everyone is talking about is the same guy that i’ve been encountering. I went to Subway one morning to get a breakfast sandwich. I asked for a sandwich that had eggs and ham in it and the guy starts making me a turkey sandwich ! I corrected him and told him that I didn’t want turkey and he rolls his eyes at me, tells me that I should of told him so, and throws the turkey sandwich that he started making into the trash. I avoided that particular Subway for months but, let’s face it, it’s cheap, fast and convenient so I went by there today. I saw the same ***hole guy there today and ordered 2 $ 5 foot longs. At the end of the counter, I told him that I wanted mayo on both foot longs. Halfway through the second foot long, the mayo bottle runs out of mayo. Instead of grabbing a new bottle to complete the whole sandwich with mayo, the guy just ignores it and wraps up the sandwich. I wasn’t happy eating a sandwich with mayo on only half of it. Seems like that guy keeps earning ***hole points…

This particular Subway has been going downhill for the past year or so. At first, it was odd things like there being no chips to buy because they were restocking the chips display… in the backroom… at the height of the lunch rush. Apparently bringing the chips out to the display made less sense than moving the entire shelving unit into the back! The real problem though is one particular employee.(I don’t want to shame this person on a public website by naming them.) This one person has no customer service skills at all and comes across as indifferent, at best, and rude, at worst, to the customers. This person does not communicate properly and is difficult to hear and understand when speaking/mumbling. This employee is also very poorly trained and has made numerous mistakes with my orders(wrong sauces and other ingredients, etc.). Because of this employee, I’ve actually been avoiding going to this Subway in recent months. Today, I decided to give them another try. First off, they were out of a number of ingredients, including spinach and all cheeses except for American and Pepper Jack. How does that happen?!? Secondly, the food preparation area was a mess, particularly the sauce bottles which had globs of sauce all over and around them. Thirdly, they were nearly out of beverage straws. I got one of the last few. Finally, despite there being a big sign advertising their new $ 5 day of the week specials(e.g., Monday = 6″ Turkey & Ham, 21 oz drink and side, which is what I ordered), the cashier(the aforementioned problem employee) charged me $ 7.24. Only I didn’t realize that until after I left because the employee either mumbled the amount or never told me(same thing really). In fact, the only communication I recall the employee making was pointing blankly at my sandwich, apparently meaning, «What is that?» Not even a hello, thank you or goodbye. Well, Millbrae Subway, here’s my goodbye.

Was starvin a marvin and deciding where to eat… Since the still under construction Safeway where to go? Burger King was a bit out of the way so that left, Big Mouth(Don’t wanna spend too much on a meal), Little Cesar which spoke to my wallet but do I want all that fat? I know KFC is sorta across the street so I was bout to head there, Walkin up Broadway towards the 24Hr Fitness Building Complex I saw Subway Restaurant catching my eye so I made a B Line here. Walked up and there was a gal behind the counter acknowledging me. She just glared at me suggesting okay I am WAITING! Normally Hi, or Are You ready? What would you like today? No this gal just glared at me… So overlooking the failed warm greeting I placed my sandwich order. From previous experiences I have had I would get asked if I wanted the bread toasted or not, she went ahead and toasted w/o my knowledge. Ummmm okay, is this girl in a hurry to be somewhere else? So when it came to pay she finally pulls the what she should have done asking me if I wanted chips and drinks? No hun your 10 seconds late lol. With lame service like that I just wanted to get my food and get the fark out.

Went for a foot long here the other day and got a nasty surprise. As the employee was making my sandwich, I noticed something small fly off the mound of pepperchini’s. I thought that was strange and quickly looked around at the other ingredients. As I was looking I saw someother small thing move on the inside of the glass partition above the ingredients. I looked closer to discover it was a gnat. I looked down the length of the partition and discovered two other gnats flying around, working as a team with the original one I suppose. This isn’t supposed to happen if the place is kept clean and the ingredients are properly chilled. Beyond grossed out I just left and went to the Subway on Broadway in Burlingame which is bug-free thank GOD. Avoid this Subway unless you want bugs sampling your sandwich before you do… disgusting.

Thanks to Ricardo for helping us with our order for our daughter’s birthday party! My husband ordered a 6 foot turkey and ham sub for our guests. Our order was ready for pick on time, and Ricardo was great with helping my husband in carrying out to our SUV. We were a little bit apprehensive about how our guests would like it, but by the end of the party, the sub was all gone!!! Our guests loved it!!! Thanks Subway at Millbrae, and thank you very much Ricardo for making it a smooth process with our order from beginning to end!

I know Subway is a chain. I am reviewing this one because I frequent it so much. It is right below the Millbrae 24 hour Super Sport so it’s convenient to get some food after working out and either eating on the way home or once I get to class or home. First of all, the staff here is awesome. They all work hard and I always have a fun conversation about my life and ask them about theirs. Very personable guys. The manager has twin girls and he works his ass off for them. Sometimes they don’t have all of the types of bread. One time they didn’t have chipotle sauce so he added bacon for free. That was nice. I also tried the personal pizza recently(sausage & pepperoni) and it was super tasty. Another employee added veggies on it for free and customized it. February is $ 5 foot long month so TREATYO’ SELF.

Decent. No frills. I give it an extra because this place is very very clean. That’s a good sign for any chain. I had a few subs here, they were of the expected quality.

Had been here one other time before and like any other Subway, it was average. Most recently, we came here after our morning workout this past Sunday and wanted to grab a breakfast egg muffin before we headed to Mission Peak for a hike with friends. The store open hours for Sunday is 8:00am and it was about 8:02am. There was a guy working in the store and I KNOW he saw us trying to open the doors, which were locked, but he made no attempt to unlock the door for us. We stood there for about another minute waiting for him and trying to decide if we had time to go somewhere else to grab brekkie. I was pissed by then so we just drove down the street to Walgreens to grab a ready-made turkey sandwich. Subway dude. YOUSUCK!!!
