It was brief consultation with Dr. Sun. He was patient, friendly, and very funny! I highly recommend him if you look for dentist/​periodontist in the bay area. His staff are nice and welcoming. Overall pleasant experience.

If you are afraid of the Dental visit, fear no more. Doctor Sun and his staff are top drawer. When you first go in Juanita takes your info and it extremely professional and friendly. The dental assistant is kind and caring and rubbed my arm the whole time I was in the chair… And the Dentist is kind and careful, always asking are you o.k. no Superior attitude. The very best part NO PAIN BEFORE OR AFTER.
I KNOW I DID NOT BELIEVE IT EITHER, but it is true. Please try this office you will not be sorry.
A periodontist who is truly through and kind and tells you what he is going to do and why.
My last dentist had me thinking I would never go to another one… so glad I did.

A periodontist who really gives you time and complete explanation as to what is going on (complete with diagrams). What a welcome change. Nice service with an appointment confirmation call.
This was just an evaluation visit as a recommendation from my dentist, and so I am really pleased that Dr. Sun gave me such a thorough sense of attention and education about my own mouth, teeth and gums. In all my many years of going to different dental professionals, I’ve never experienced such a level of attention to detail.
Now for the next steps – a root canal is in my future and probably with Dr. Sun – so I probably will update my review after this dreaded event.

Dr. Sun is awesome. He has been my periodontist for years. I alternate my cleanings between him and my regular dentist. His procedures are relatively painless compared to the other periodontist I had before him. Even though the office is only open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and every other Friday, I can easily make my appointments a couple of weeks prior. I hate having to be booked 6 months ahead of time because I never know what will come up.
I am very grateful for Dr. Sun and I hope he never retires. His stories are also great fun to listen to in the dental chair.
