The WXYZ bar is small in the Aloft San Francisco International Hotel. The bar is in the lobby of the hotel. They have two bartenders who do a decent job of serving drinks and trying to the conversate with customers. This is not a bar I would go out of my way to have a drink, but for hotel bar it is okay.

It was my first time in the WXYZ Bar Lounge. The lounge is open and welcoming. The customer service was excellent and attentive. The wine, beer, and appetizer were great. I notice that there are not too many gluten free choices. I will definally returned and I recommended it.

It’s the Aloft lobby bar. Surprisingly it’s quite well-priced with decent menu items for both food and drinks. The vibe is cool and consists of the bar as well as a bunch of tables and loungy areas. It’s very conducive to just hanging out. If you’re staying at the hotel, it’s probably worth checking out. Some nights there is live music and a DJ but I didn’t get this experience.

Cool little bar, I like the modern hip lounge area. Games were fun while we sipped drinks! It was nice to sit n wind down after our adventures in SF.

I stopped by w xyz bar while my parents flight was delayed. The cell phone waiting lot is nice but there’s not alcohol there and no TV’s. The bar takes up practically half of the lobby of this hotel. There’s a pool table and a bunch of bohemian hipster type colorful furniture laid over the entire lounge area. It was a bit of a somber mood the night I came here. The Baltimore riots were playing on television and that made the Giants game being played way less important. The bartenders were not that busy and they were gracious enough to give me some Japanese snack mixes, including the spicy edamame crackers. I got a margarita and a beer and it was a nice subdued relaxing experience, way more entertaining than the cell phone parking lot area.

This is literally in the middle of the hotel lobby. We were right next to the front desk where people check in. Music was barely audible. Not what I was expecting but they did have good seating and my party got to sit together and chat because no one else was there. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a cool lounge area. Maybe a place to get pre-party drinks if you’re staying at the hotel and waiting for people to get ready.

Very cool, hip, and chic bar, owned by W Hotel/Enterprise, but things tend to be on the pricey side. We ordered Chicken Potstickers($ 10) and Chicken Tenders($ 12) as finger food. The potstickers cost $ 10, but only comes in four pieces, FOURPIECESHELLO!!! Make sure to check-in on Unilocal and you get a $ 1 off all appetizers, better than nothing. :P Server is OK friendly, don’t expect exceptional service given the«bar scene» setting. The most that I like about this place is that the location is close to my home and it is nice knowing that there is a hangout place and enjoy a drink or two without having to drive all the way to the city. The Mojito that I ordered was very good. There was a DJ spinning music when we went last Friday night, but noise level was tolerable, not too bad. FYI, parking is validated for 2 hours; each additional hour is $ 5.50. Basically, this is a good hangout place, just expect things to be on the pricey side given this is a «W» chain. We were there for almost three hours and had a good time. I’d return for sure, maybe just no more Chicken Potstickers.

After an event next door at the Westin SFO, we walked across the street the w xyz bar inside the hotel Aloft. It was only 11 p.m. or so but it was last call for my husband and me. One more drink for us, and if we were lucky, a little bite to eat. Totally got lucky! We walked in and the fun reception area led to a large, open room with lots of seating, a pool table, and a bar with pulsing lights on its surface. The bartender didn’t take long to notice us and brought some menus and water(at our request). He wasn’t really paying attention to us and missed the beer that I ordered with the waters. We finally got his attention again but he was never really that attentive. I ordered a $ 9 Caesar salad(by coincidence, my second Caesar of the day), and husband reluctantly ordered the $ 10 cheese plate. The last time we ordered a cheese plate was at a beer place in Walnut Creek and we would have preferred the pre-packaged single-sliced American to what we received there. However, this plate came out with a variety of delicious cheeses, both hard and soft. It had a couple types of crackers and a handful of red grapes. Definitely better than what we were expecting. My salad was also good, minus the boxed garlic croutons on top. Croutons are so easy to make and last a couple days… I just don’t understand why any business wouldn’t take the 10 minutes to season and bake up their leftover bread. Also, I asked for hot sauce and I was given three packets rather than a bottle. Even though it’s a pretty small amount of waste, I feel this is really wasteful. Why put all those tiny packages into a landfill, rather than just buying a Costco sized glass bottle that can be recycled?(Okay, this granola-hugger will stop there, but… seriously?!) Overall, we were really glad they served food late into the night. We finished our plates and my drink and headed back to the Westin for bed. A friendlier bartender could have talked us in to another round, but it was probably for the best that ours was too busy with the group at the other side of the bar.

After a HH with friends turned into a 6 hr HH session, ended the night here. All I remember was nice décor, modern, and then I passed out in the W hotel lobby.

I enjoyed coming to the WXYZ Bar. It’s a very modern looking bar/lounge. The vibe was good as was the background music. The couches were very comfy. My main beef was the total lack of service. I ordered two drinks and the bartender had a difficult time comprehending my order as well as processing my payment. I stood there waiting at the bar for a few minutes as she wrapped her mind around the complexity of a beer and wine order. Keep in my mind I was the only one at the bar requesting a drink so she wasn’t swamped… Later on the same bartender came by with my bill and I had to remind her that I had paid at the bar. It was a slow Thursday night so obviously she has a short term memory issue or sadly she just isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer. The service aside, it’s a great place to meet for drinks and the parking is validated for the 1st two hours. After that $ 4 per hour, then $ 2 each additional hour.

great place to have a couple of drinks and cozy up to the fireplace! the aloft hotel is brand-spanking new(by that, i mean just a few months old) and boasts a beautiful and modern lobby and lounge area for guests to enjoy. at the conclusion of the Unilocal holiday party, i ended up sticking around with a few fellow Unilocalers and grabbing a few drinks at the bar. the special for that day was half off all well drinks(not sure if this is a daily thing, but it’s a sweet deal). they didn’t have a printed menu, so i’m not sure if the daily specials rotate and also unsure if there are any food/appetizer specials for HH. the bartenders were very nice and friendly and never made me feel rushed, despite the fairly large gathering around the bar. i really love the minimalist décor that also lended a modern, chic look to the lounge area. definitely a must-try if you’re a guest at the hotel or passing by this area.
