I developed an acute and very painful case of what’s called tennis elbow. I’d been to my chiropractor a number of times and he gave me multiple treatments of massage and ultra-sound. But despite this attention, his ministrations didn’t really seem to have a great deal of effect. Still very uncomfortable and sore, I decided to see if acupuncture would do the trick. And although Andrea DID use a needle in one of my fingers to get the offending muscle to relax, in fact she proceeded to give me the most terrific(and not even terribly lengthy) forearm massage. The result was quite extraordinary. Rather suddenly, all my months of extreme disability quite faded away within a day or so. It was then that I learned that not only is Andrea a fully-trained acupuncturist, she also went off to India at one point to learn a particular massage technique. Despite the fact that she seems to keep this skill in a drawer, Andrea’s a fine, fine masseuse.
