The history of the castle is very impressive. The tour lasted 20 minutes. They did not show us the bedrooms or guest home because someone was renting it. We were able to see the living room, bathroom and kitchen only. Way overpriced. $ 12 for adults and $ 8 for my children who under 10 yrs old.

My boyfriend and I stayed here in July 2012 for my husband’s birthday. I surprised him with anight in a castle and he, in return, surprised me with a marriage proposal as soon as we got to our room(the Tower Room). The castle is completely inspirational. We had a personal tour and then went off to dinner to celebrate. After, we sat outside on the patio, drinking wine under the beautiful starry July sky. I cannot imagine a better evening. The Tower Room was adorable and right out of something in Harry Potter or Shrek’s cottage — very cute, antiques everywhere. Amazing mosaic bathroom. We had a continental breakfast on the patio in the morning and had free reign of the grounds to wander and take in the views of Hudson Valley. The Wings were absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to go back. It is definitely worth the trip — either for the tour or an overnight adventure.

Being a fan of off the beaten path sight seeing, I loved Wing’s Castle. Tour was casual and tour guide Toni was receptive to all my questions. My kids, 13 and 9, thought it was cool. The view is breath taking. The inside of the castle is eclectic.
