Thank you Julie for your response. The review was posted a year later when I was searching for another bakery for my nephew again and your bakery came up again. Made the cake ourselves but later found another bakery in the area that we will be using for our kid on the way cause we live their cupcakes!!! See my other review

Please DO NOT give this owner your money. She’s awful.
The ONLY thing my daughter asked for on her second birthday was a hippo cake. I called over a week in advance (I had tasted a birthday cake from Splurge and enjoyed it) and was told they were too busy that moment to take an order, so I left my number for them to call me back. Never received a call back, so I called again the next day and ordered a chocolate cake, strawberry filling, with vanilla buttercream.
Day of the party, I called to give the owner my credit card info, so my husband could just do a quick pick up. She’s says, «UGH. I’m so busy with a line out the door. Ugh, just hurry up and give me the card info.» So rude! I said, «I’ll just try you back later.» Well, I didn’t get around to it and my husband went to the shop for pick up. Of course, THEY DIDN’T HAVE THE CAKE!!! They never made it/​had no record of it/didn’t seem to care. My husband put me on the phone at that point and I explained the ($ 65!!!) cake I had ordered, WELL IN ADVANCE. She said, well when do you need it? Um, the party starts in an hour. She had two flourless chocolate cakes she put together with buttercream (it was INSANELY sweet in a not-​good way) and while it did end up looking cute, it was not what we wanted. Instead of apologizing, she curtly said, «no charge.» Not a smart way to run a business.
It’s unfortunate because I did enjoy her regular chocolate cake and would have absolutely gone back had it not been for the INSANELY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Cupcakes, bars, brownies, etc are good but not spectacular. Friendly staff. Cute décor. Nice place to take kids for a party. Pretty pricey though – true to name.

I bought 4 cupcakes to bring somewhere and only one tasted fresh — the chocolate on chocolate. We threw away the others after people tasted them — the cake was so dry. I wouldn’t go back.

A popular spot for kids’ birthday parties, and admittedly, they provide a unique experience. I got a cake there once and gotta say it wasn’t as fantastic as I anticipated it to be. Nothing necessarily wrong but no wow factor in design or taste.
The bad thing about this is place is the service. Usually one person at the counter and if one, just one person is front of you, you will wait, and wait and wait. Just really slow to process orders and no multi tasking here.
For your bake goods needs, I’d recommend traveling to Summit and going to NATALES (5 mins from Splurge). These guys are rock stars!

Great little bakery. Has a nice variety of sweets a very nice owner Julie and I like that they sell mini cupcakes. if you’re needing some sweets you should come by and check it out.

A small selection that’s mostly cupcake /​bad /​brownie based rather than the kinda of delicacies you eat with a fork. But they do get props for having one of the biggest and tastiest cake pops I’ve ever eaten. And a very friendly and theater-​loving staff who enjoys chatting theater with those in town for productions at Paper Mill.

Love this place! Fabulous service– the owner is a doll! I had a small order of custom cookies made for my husbands 30^th birthday and Splurge Bakery was more than accommodating. Reasonable prices for custom orders, great quality and taste! The Cookies were a hit!

I would actually have given Splurge 5 stars, however, I waited almost ten minutes until someone noticed I was even there, in all fairness, that costed a star. Now to the treats!
The iced serenity chai latte was made to order, which is refreshing in a time when everything is pre-​made. In addition, the flavors were spot on.
The employee who helped me was extremely nice and not pushy at all. I had decided to get a carrot cake cupcake, and she suggested I get a lemon one. The fact they were just made was enticing, so I followed her advice, and I was not disappointed.
What I loved was that the flavors were great, and the frosting was light. That said, the size of the cupcakes is on the smaller side, which is great for someone who wants to sample the offerings, but can also be a turn off for those who are fans of Crumbs.
I am definitely going back.
