Wow. Weird service. I found this company highly recommended on Homeadvisor and was very interested in his services for gutter cleaning. I sent them an email via their website on a Thursday. I didn’t receive a call or email back. Friday I called, left my details and was told the owner would likely call back the same day. Tuesday I called back again and the woman who answered the phone took my address, phone number, etc and then said «are you married or is there a significant other that you co-​own the home with, as he will want you BOTH there for an estimate» I said «why» she said «that’s how he does business».
I have a much more flexible schedule than my wife. We both generally get home after dark so I can’t understand why he won’t just work with me because I can be there for the estimate. I said, thanks but no thanks, I find this demand extremely odd that I must have my wife with me to get the estimate. Super Creepy.
I’ve owned my home for 17 years, I’ve used many contractors and keep working with the ones who work well with me. I was looking for a solid contractor and you just lost what could’ve been a good customer.
