What’s this? Who let the eskimos in Wilkes county?!
That would be the Igloo, a building in long need of retrofitting in the 21st century, but it’s this small rounded shack that houses some tasty treats on the edge of Miller’s Creek near the elementary school.
On these mild pre summer days I am missing me some igloo dogs ordered «Split fried and all the way». (Hotdog with chili, onions, slaw and mustard)
This place has some great dogs, but I never got around to ordering anything else, but wish I would have.
The husband was also a fan of their banana malts. He said they were like malt perfection!
Essentially, Igloo is a great place to stop for ice-​cream on a nice evening after a ball game, or what have you, and is even a tasty destination for a quick lunch.
