Had a great time. It wasn’t super busy since I went during the week in early October. The place is closing for the season in the next few days, and you couldn’t tell. They still had all the animals out. We did the wagon ride, well worth the extra money, and were able to get up close and personal with the animals. They provided rubber bowls that you could scoop out food to feed all the animals. It was so much fun having an ostrich peck at the bowl. You do have to be careful as some of the animals will grab the bowls and rip it from your hand. Also, the guide will get the wagon moving before you retake a seat. There were pigs and piglets everywhere running around inside the fenced area. They also had buffalo, water buffalo, so many different kinds of deer, cows and zebras. It took about an hour to go through their inclosed area with pasture and woods. Then they have a small petting farm with baby ducks, rabbits, caged lemurs and monkeys too.

We visit Rolling Ridge Ranch every summer and love it. We’ve been here three times — once as a fun date when we were just a couple in 2009, last year with our 6 month old baby and her Gran, and again this summer with our 18 month old toddler. Each time we had an awesome experience. We highly recommend Rolling Ridge animal park to anyone who likes to be outdoors in beautiful surroundings with tons of cool animals to feed, pet and admire. Be sure to visit the website for coupons worth $ 2 off per person. Don’t even think about driving your own car through — it’s well worth it to pay a little extra to ride on the horse-drawn carriage, get a bucket of animal feed and have tons of opportunities to feed, pet and get up close with the more than 500 varieties of animals and birds here. Any animal lover will adore this experience! The animals appear well cared for and have tons of room — this is a gorgeous piece of property. The tour takes about an hour or a little longer, and the guides are friendly and knowledgeable. Watch out for the bucket stealers — giant antelope who are supremely skilled at stealing buckets right out of people’s hands! The guides will warn you, and take their advice. No matter how strong you think you are, you’re no match for the bucket stealers. After the horse-drawn carriage ride through the property is over, your fun is just beginning. They also have a full petting zoo area with more animals to pet, admire and feed. Kids will love this part — I know ours did(including me, the biggest kid of all). Be sure to bring your camera because you’ll get some great close-up shots of animals people will never believe were taken right here in the great state of Ohio. This is fun stuff — prepare to be wowed. And save some animal feed in your bucket for the last couple of stops, because the Texas longhorn cattle and other big horns are super impressive and fun to feed.
