I know I was on a day trip to Amish Country but it was my discovery of fresh on-site homemade ice cream that made me stop and pause to re-consider my childhood. Schloneger’s is housed on Main Street in a small section of Sol’s Exchange facing the parking lot. Just a few feet away is their ice cream freezer where 5 gallon batches of fresh ice cream is crafted. What do consumers need to realize? ° fresh country farm ingredients used ° crafted on-site as needed for retail sales ° samples are necessary is my recommendation ° they add Reeses to their vanilla ice cream odd unique I’ve learned that Bev and Keith purchased a concession trailer in order to share their Schloneger’s Home Made Ice Cream within the community by traveling to local events. ULTIMATERECOMMENDATION… when in Amish Country, visit Schloneger’s in Berlin and Kidron for what authentic fresh ingredient homemade ice cream is all about.
