I know I was on a day trip to Amish Country but it was my discovery of fresh on-​site homemade ice cream that made me stop and pause to re-​consider my childhood.
Schloneger’s is housed on Main Street in a small section of Sol’s Exchange facing the parking lot. Just a few feet away is their ice cream freezer where 5 gallon batches of fresh ice cream is crafted.
What do consumers need to realize?
° fresh country farm ingredients used
° crafted on-​site as needed for retail sales
° samples are necessary is my recommendation
° they add Reeses to their vanilla ice cream odd unique
I’ve learned that Bev and Keith purchased a concession trailer in order to share their Schloneger’s Home Made Ice Cream within the community by traveling to local events.
