I see no new recent reviews. Shocks me to see the few positive comments as this place was the worst food establishment we have eaten at in 20 years… Yes even worse than the previous Windoz restaurant, if that could even be possible. We live in cross gates and would love to eat local. We can’t. But we tried. The place is never full… Parking lot empty each time we pass it. The venue itself is nice… Not upscale and not dive… Great view and great potential. The service is the worst. Young staff with no care attitudes. Dirty utensils, dirty plates, dirty outside glass. We ate here 5 times. Just to see if they got act together. They did not. Food is horrible… Under cooked, overcooked, too cold, no taste. They seem to think that if you throw food at people they will like it… We don’t. Many of the homeowners here at Crossgates refuse to ever eat there again. Shame… Because good Mgmt would do very well. Very dumb hours for a pub… The place is often closed… Lights out by 9 sometimes 10. Wonder why??? Every restaurant in Lancaster has a wait on Fri and Sat nights. This place is empty. Enough said.

I went there for lunch with some work friend. I had their turkey avacado wrap, very good. They make their own tortillas and they were really thick and tasty.

I’m not sure what happened but it is really going down hill. The service is great but the food isn’t nearly as good as it used to be. I ordered the peel and eat shrimp and it was burning hot! How is someone supposed to peel burning hot shrimp, let alone eat it? If they wanted to serve a hot shrimp dish they should have peeled and cleaned it before serving. Another time I ordered the spring rolls. I was expecting them to be light and fresh and raw but they were fried, which wasn’t mentioned on the menu. I took a bite and my mouth was filled with boiling hot oil — it burned my mouth so badly I had 3 blisters and couldn’t eat anything for two days. Another time I asked if a dish had onions and was told no, but it came out smothered in onions. We live nearby and used to go a lot, but the last few times we’ve been there it just hasn’t been right.

Atmosphere: 4⁄5 Service: 1.5÷5 Food: 2⁄5 Looked like it was going to be better than what it was. We were able to look out over the golf couse and had a good view of the sunset which was nice. The Hummus platter was ok, but the quesadilla my fiancée got was awful. It was like cardboard. Looks like they used pita instead of tortilla, but that’s beside the point. The tortellini I got was so-so, felt like it came out of a giant frozen bag, but it wasn’t horrible. The service was pretty slow considering that the place had maybe 2 other tables going. All in all: not going back, if we’re going out to eat, we’re going to drive out to the area west of lancaster.

I agree, this was an enormously pleasant surprise. We’re local and know the previous restaurants here have been horrid. The Masters went into a playoff and we wanted dinner out and to see how it ended so decided to give it a try. The food was really, really good(we were originally headed to The Belvedere) — the husband had the cedar plank grilled salmon and I had the mushroom tortellini — and the wine servings generous without being too much. Our server was conscientious, the place very clean, and the view from our window seat over the golf course really lovely. The final tab came to under $ 50 for what turned out to be an outstanding meal. At the bar was a boisterous golf crowd but things quickly quieted down after the final hole. There is certainly room in Millersville for a casual upscale restaurant and I hope they continue to do well, this place is a gem. We’ll be back.

A nice surprise, the last restaurant at this location was terrible. We gave this place a try as its close to home and in a nice location. The food was great(I had the fish tacos, my husband has the pulled pork quesadilla), it was clean(a step up from the last place) and staff was friendly and efficient. Had good beers on tap and nice variety bottled. A great addition to a small town.
