I’m with Jake, school cafeteria was just as good. Salad…lettuce that was wilted, and a tomato. Mashed potatoes that the lunch lady made from a box were better. And hold the pepper, unless you love pepper I mean LOVE pepper your food won’t have any other flavor.

Save your money. You’ll be disappointed. Between the 4 of us the food was either overcooked or undercooked. Heat lamps and microwaves are clearly used abundantly. I’ve eaten better at a cafeteria

NOLONGERINBUSINESS!!! :(I drove for 30 minutes to get to this place and it was no longer in business. What a dissappointment. Hope this is long enough for a review and prevents others from going there.

I went to the restaurant despite the negative reviews. I arrived at 12:30 pm and sat in the only empty booth. The waitress was there immediately. My quart jar of water came soon after. I ordered the ribs, mashed«taters» with white gravy, and the baked beans. The food came in less than 10 minutes. The ribs were good. I prefer baby-back so that is the only reason I didn’t give a 5. Unless you are just looking to complain, it would be hard to not get the attention of the waitress. The place is small, so you can see everyone. The potatoes were real and the gravy OK. I like a lot of salt, but I know that many people can’t have it. The beans were excellent. The ribs were good enough to be eaten without the sauce, although I tasted the mild and the cherry and thought they were good. I will definitely go back.

Food is pretty good sauces not to bad. Would have given four stars but service is holding it back for me. The food can take some time to come out honestly though that does not bother me I realize they are a small business and the way the cook their food might take longer trying to keep a handle on waste. What bothers me is you’ll get your drinks place your order but won’t see a waiter again till your food is delivered. In the mean time I’m holding and empty glass for that last who knows how long. Some people my not mind but that always bothers me and we have dealt with it the 4 or 5 times we’ve gone. Like I said the food is good!

I had heard great things about this place, and the Unilocal reviews looked pretty good, so I took a gamble and drove out of the way for what I believed would be exceptional barbecue. Place had a nice charm to it, very small town, reminded me of family trips to Kansas. Drinks served in Mason jars was very cool. Waitress was nice, but definitely new. Was perplexed by simple requests like a soda accompanied by a water. That’s not the important part(the service), the food was the part that lost this place the other 4 stars. After 35 mins of waiting, I’d built up my appetite!(Come hungry and wait close to an hour smelling and seeing food) Food shows up, I was pretty dismayed. I had ordered the beef brisket plate. Came with two pretty thin pieces, and a little nugget of brisket the size of a quarter. Ok, quality over quantity I reckon. I started with the Mac and cheese. Looked very good, but first fork full I pull out of the bowl is tangled with long hair. That was definitely a tip of the hat to the whole meal. It’s whatever, pull it off my fork and try the Mac. It was gritty. Like, you know when you don’t mix the instant cheese with the Kraft stuff? Yeah, that kind of gritty. It was OK, not the best I’ve ever had though. Alright, let’s try the fries. Those are usually a hit anywhere you go, right? Well… These, not so much. They were very leathery. Dry, salty, just not anything great. If fast food fries are more preferable, that’s saying something. Two strikes, common’ brisket! You got this buddy! Aaannnnddd, no luck here either. The first piece of meat(the little nugget) I had was pretty good! Didn’t even need sauce, it was just juicy and flavorful! That finally got my taste buds ready for the rest of the meal. I started to cut the brisket with my butter knife(only knife given to me), and it was too dry and leathery to cut. So I borrowed my fiancé’s steak knife that came in the bbq burger to cut it. I broke out the sauces as I knew these pieces would need it. Sauces were ok, very garlicy. First mouthful of brisket was, well, tough. I’ve had old 7-eleven jerkry that was more moist and tender. By the end of the first piece of my two, I’d had enough. I only finished the first one so I’d feel like I got my money’s worth. I left a good amount of uneaten food on the plate. Waitress really seemed confused when I refused a box. Accepting a box would imply I had intentions on finishing food later. I didn’t see any food on that plate worth a box, was over it. To wrap this place up, my first and last visit, they have mints and suckers on the counter when you go to pay… Usually you just grab one to freshen your breath after your meal, but I grabbed one just so I could leave this place having had something flavorful in my mouth as I walk out the door.

If there was a zero stars option… I would give it. The waitress couldn’t understand that I wanted a normal lemonade and then a water as well, then forgot to ask how I wanted my burger cooked, which ended up being for nothing as it was disgusting anyway. Let me start by saying hospitality at this place was an all time low. Our food took about 40 minutes to be delivered, which I wouldn’t mind if it was half decent. My fiancé ordered the beef brisket and got two strips of it. It legitimately looked like a kids meal, and it was close to $ 13. I ordered the barbecue burger and was severely underwhelmed. I asked for it cooked to medium well with a little pink, it was burned and the middle was hard and hard to chew. The brisket that came atop the burger was so hard I couldn’t cut through it, it was like beef jerky. The pulled pork that was also on the burger was nasty and greasy yet dry. The fries I got with the burger were so salty it hurt. The waitress here was obviously new and had to force being nice… I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. What a horrible experience… Go to Serious Texas or Nordys instead! Either of those are amazing BBQ joints. This place. Not so much.

Was not a fan of this place. The food was dry and flavorless. Thought Texas was a contender for BBQ but with this being my first foray into Texas BBQ, I think I will just keep my North Carolina BBQ. Your sauces do not make up for bad cooking.

My review was removed unfairly… so I cannot take the time to REPEAT my REAL review of this BBQ joint(when I travel I do stop in BBQ spots to try them out)…the food here is sloppy, cheap and LAZY. You get LOTS of it on a plate(you can’t make a profit from quality ingredients unless you charge more on the menu prices and the prices are too low for quality food and profits). I recommend not eating there since I won’t eat there again. It was terrible.

This place is awesome! Food is delicious, and the staff is super friendly! My family and I will eat here again very soon! Ignore all the hater posts on 5−8−15 they most likely did not even eat at the restaurant, as most of the reviews are not even in CO! Get a life people!

Was in town for a convention and was recommended this food establishment. First, the owner Edgar Antillion, first thing out of his mouth was are you a local.? I would have expected How is the food.? Second, the Mac and Cheese was bitter and too salty. Third, the rest room seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned for weeks. I recommendation for this food joint SPENDYOURMONEYELSEWHRE.

I wasn’t sure how you could both have dry BBQ and greasy BBQ at the same time but this place managed to do both. It’s definitely an experience you can pass up. Also, mac and cheese is a little bit more than some noodles with Velvetta robbed over them.

Amazing food, Had their Burnt ends sandwich and their Mac and Cheese, wouldn’t do it any other way!!! Service is very friendly, quick, and attentive. Their meats are incredibly flavorful, and nice and smokey, and equally as importantly, their sauces are amazing! Moral of the story… if you find yourself in Milliken, make sure you eat here! You won’t be disappointed.

Great food. We love there smoked prime rib on Friday nights. I have successfully finished the hollow leg challenge and I dare you to try. The place is family owned and operated. The BBQ pit master has won awards for his ribs which are delicious. The one complaint is they don’t serve alcohol. Other than that this place is great!

We moved here from Tx a while back & are always looking for good places to eat. This is the first place we stopped at when looking for a home around 6 months ago. It’s a small bbq place, with 1 waitress & great food. I meet my husband here a couple times a month now for lunch & the waitress remembers what we order & have to drink every time :) they even have sweet tea which is hard to come by in CO. I usually order frito pie with pulled pork & it comes with green chili, I’ll admit I wasn’t sure about it the 1st time as it’s not the traditional frito pie I’m used to but it’s really good. I don’t know what people are talking about with the wait times, I’ve never waited for a table & I don’t think the food really takes very long either. …According to hubby there’s 2 waitresses actually, I’ve just seen 1 tho.

We went at 630pm on a Saturday night in early November. After waiting quite awhile, maybe 20 minutes to place our order, only then were we told that everything that our Party of 3 was interested in ordering was sold out. No Burnt Ends, no Moinks, no Brisket. We were forced into ribs and pulled pork. I wont say it was bad, but I wont say it was great either — and a little pricey in my opinion. My fiancé ordered some sort of meat on top of fritos with green chili and it was downright gross, you would have thought the server would have asked him why she was taking away an almost a full dish when she cleared our table — would definitely avoid that one, whatever it was. I did like the mac and cheese but couldn’t imagine eating more than a side, it is quite rich. We may try Buttz again, but would appreciate being told they are out of things when we are first seated. I imagine they don’t make much food for Saturdays since they are closed on Sundays and Mondays.

I’ve been driving past here for a couple of months on my way home from work and since I’m always on the lookout for good BBQ, I looked them up on Unilocal.OK, so based on the reviews I came a little late for lunch, 130 on a Tuesday. The service was great. When i asked if they had sweet tea they did, yay! Not sure why the concept of sweet tea is so foreign to some. Also based on the reviews I decided to order moinks as an appetizer. They were really good. They didn’t blow my mind but it’s probably because the other review set the bar so high. While awaiting the moinks I eagerly perused the menu finding all kinds of tempting dishes. I eventually settled on the burnt ends and Mac n cheese. The first half was absolutely amazing! No joke. But then it began to wear on me. I think maybe I would prefer it with dry rub and no BBQ sauce. Or maybe bring a friend and split it with them. I will be back to explore more of the menu.

I absolutely love this place, must get the moinks as appetizer(they are meatballs wrapped in bacon) delicious! Pulled pork parfait is excellent(mashed potatoes, beans, and pulled pork) The best thing on the menu is definitely the Mac n cheese. it is so freaking good i drive from Longmont to Milliken whenever i can just to get that! It is a MUST try!!! The homemade sauces are yummy also, especially the cherry sauce. i highly recommend this place, it’s my favorite restaurant :) Burnt ends on Mac n cheese is to die for.

Good food, but horrible wait times!!! If you have plenty of time on your hands and want some tasty BBQ this is a must stop. Service was nothing special but not bad either. Our biggest complaint was we had a table of 6. The first person received their food about 15 minutes before the last person. That’s just not good kitchen management! If someone could take their food and put it together with quality management this place could be special.
