Great place to stay and unwind. I stayed there to hike Katahdin. It’s a 40 minute drive, but worth it.

My husband and I stayed here last summer while in town to hike Katahdin and had a great experience. Where to start… the owners were fantastic and gave great recommendations on the hike (routes, time, park information) which eased our nerves. They rooms were very clean, cozy and comfortable with fantastic views. We sat in the rockers looking over the water and couldn’t have been more peaceful. The available kayaks were great to explore with and the lounge chairs on the «beach» were a great place to read a book. My only regret of our trip was not staying at 5 Lakes longer. We will be back.

This place is AWESOME!!! Breathtaking views! Luxurious rooms! Sat outdoors with other guests and owners around a crackling fire by the lake tonight. Rick and Debbie took guests out on their pontoon boat this evening. Canoes/​kayaks are available to use on the lake. It’s like a little piece of heaven!

Spectacular views of Katahdin from the rooms. Convenient to the park.
The owners/​managers are knowledgable and very friendly. They took us to dinner in their boat!
