Dumplings were Dumblings. Not fully cooked! Staff needs to smile a bit more. I like the fried rice here — Yum!

Nothing amazing but best Chinese food I can find in the area. I’d prefer the sesame chicken be white meat instead of dark meat — although still a very tasty dish. Very good Vegatarian delight. Very good cashew shrimp(large tasty shrimp). Chicken and Brocolli good. I love the taste of their fortune cookies although the fortunes are more statements than actual fortunes.

Found this pretty randomly, but was pleasently surprised at the quality of the food. Even though it is a bit of a strip mall the found was excellent. The pork dumplings were probably the best I’ve ever had in years, and we have gotten the sesame chicken a number of times as well The atmosphere and styling is pretty basic, but well worth the food. Also reasonable priced, not expensive at all.

We used to go to Lilac House all the time and recommended it to everyone. However, since the ownership change the food has gone downhill while the prices have increased. We last went there shortly after the ownership change and the meal was so poor we actually asked if they had changed chefs– that is when we were told of the ownership change. After staying away from Lilac House for quite some time we decided to try it again recently. Sad to say no improvement. The fried rice was dry and the veggies in it looked overcooked. The spring rolls still had grease dripping off them. The stir fry seafood and chicken was overloaded with half cooked onions, the sauce was minimal and the seafood and chicken were borderline overcooked. So disappointing… This place used to be the very best in the area and now we could not recommend it to anyone.

The Best… Try the house rice… unlike most, not greasy… full of flavor… always fresh.

Delicious cashew chicken dinner chicken, nummy spring rolls, and a decent chow mein. Normal eat out pricing. I feel good about my experience overall, and will likely order from them again. The online ordering feature is pretty neat!

Oh we love Lilac House, been patrons since it opened and its always fantastic, on a cold night I order double wonton soup to go and its soo delicious. I wish they would make a buffet inside and I guarantee the line will be out the door!

By far the best Chinese food in the area. Service is quick and always on point. I wish they would deliver, but otherwise I have no complaints.

Lilac house house the best Chines food around. We travel to Millis from Medfield because the quality is better than Jiangs garden in Medfield. Amazing chicken is very good. Not the best in the world but it is the best within 10 miles around.

Pathetic excuse for Chinese food. I’ve tried several menu items on three different occasions and it’s all high priced crap. This is the worst waste of money in a 30 mile radius. Never again! The lobster sauce is a bad version of NY style, not the Boston style everyone loves. The spare ribs are very greasy and fatty, The chicken fingers are coated in pancake batter and soft, not crispy. The rice is sticky and starchy. The main dishes are 30% sauce and vegetables are over-cooked. Do yourself a favor and drive 3 miles to Jing’s Garden in Medfield.

For your hole in the wall Chinese food this place is better than most, especially being in the middle of nowhere in Millis, MA. My buddy owns a condo in Medfield and there is not much around so we found this place locally. . The prices are very reasonable and the food is pretty good, but nothing to write home about. One major complaint is that they literally never give you napkins/utinsels in takeout orders… and this is a place that does 90% business in takeout. You actually have to ask to get that stuff… pretty stupid. But overall if you are in the area it is worth going to… 6⁄10 rating.

Really good food, excellant attentive service. The prices are great, by the way. The take out never lacks anything– always soy sauce, fortune cookies and crispy wontons for snacking! Really elegant for Millis!

I don’t know why people keep mentioning this is expensive. Last time I checked $ 7.50 for super-fresh tasting entrée with choice of rice, spring or egg roll, and a bowl of soup is a deal to me! This isn’t your normal«greasy» Chinese food place. Everything tastes fresh and doesn’t seem to be glopped with sauces. I appreciate food like that. The service is always spot-on. I never have to ask to get my water glass filled, they’re always right there watching it. Even at high-end establishments you don’t get that kind of service.

Been going for years and love it. No delivery is a downside, but it’s worth the trip out.

I love the Chinese food here. It is expensive, but really good. The actual restaurant is not usually very busy, but they do a lot of take-out. The service is good, and the food is really excellent.

No delivery knocks this one down to 3 stars for me. Isn’t that the whole point of ordering out? =p They do have take-out though. The food here is OK. LoMein could’ve used a bit more flavor, but it was a large portion. Enough to split between two people and then have some for leftovers. Crab Ragoons felt a little too much like they were filled with crème cheese only. Very thin crème cheese and not enough crab meat really. Will try the Chinese place in Medway. I wonder if they deliver?
