The Pint is my go-to when visiting family in Millsboro. I’d give it 5 stars, but the bangers & mash(an Irish stand-by!) is less than desirable. What’s up with the sage-y, tiny sausage link?! Yuck. The pub fare– crab dip, burgers, fish & chips, and Scottish ale– are what keeps me coming back for more. Would love to see some new/rotating menu items, too! The staff are also very friendly and chill. The location, itself, is cozy and welcoming.

Well it looks like some people love this place and others, like me, not so much. It’s a cool little place, converted from an old bank and the ambiance is really comfortable. Service is great. But the food is just deplorable. I ordered the fried flounder and crab cake special which I thought would be a good choice, being right here in the center of flounder and crab territory. Boy was I disappointed. The flounder wasn’t even flounder but haddock, dripping with grease and kind of soggy. The crab cake did not have a single molecule of crab in it, and resembled one of those hush puppy things they serve at all-you-can-eat places so you fill up on them before they bring out the actual food. I think it came right out of a Costco bag and into the deep fat. The French fries were pretty good though. For $ 18, I felt ripped off. Other members of my party had similar experiences. The Hobbit Pie was a bland mess, and the bangers and mash were served with green BEANS, rather than peas. 5 green beans sitting there with no seasoning or butter or anything. Just yanked out of a can and plopped on the plate. No fried onions. Man, how hard is it to make proper bangers and mash, anyway? So I’d say this is a place to go drink at the bar, and if you drink enough, maybe the food will look and taste better.

Friday night date night with the wife. The Cock Aleakey soup was not bad. Wife’s salad was missing pears and walnuts and was drenched in dressing that was supposed to be on the side. They replaced it but with no walnuts because they were out. She said it tasted like in came right out of a bag salad that wasn’t washed. I ordered the pierogi and paid $ 1.00 more for ground beef. It had very little beef in it. I thought the cheese tasted funny then realized it wasn’t cheese, it was uncooked dough. It was our second time in a year that we’ve been there hoping it would be better than our first. We were wrong. The waitress was very good. We will most likely not be back.

Great atmosphere. One of the best crab cakes I’ve eaten – all crab no filler. Better than your average ‘bar food’. Great service. We will definitely visit again.

We stopped in here after bowling in Milsboro thanks to a mention from the Rehoboth Foodie radio show. First off, it’s easy to park :) They have a menu reminiscent of the old FinBar that was on Rehoboth Ave, hearty pub food from the British Isles. The beer selection was a mix of bottled and draft — not a huge list, but curated with seasonal choices. Hubs had a steak, medium rare on a pile of mashed potatos. It was cooked just right, pink in the middle, warm throughout. I had the turkey reben. It was a happy gooey sandwich, hearty fare, with fries that were crisp and hot. We tried the Thomas O’Malley potato flatbread with crab/horseradish. There was plenty of crab but the horseradish was not evident. An enjoyable meal in a charming setting, we’ll go again. The service was attentive and the waiter friend and helpful.

Not so good. and on a Saturday when the A team chef should be working! Flatbread was some soggy dough with melted american cheese and a few pieces of canned crab! yuk. Burger meat standard grocery store, greasy fries. Salmon ok but side dish of rice and veggies blah. Too bad because the place could be a nice spot. Since the owner also has 1776 Steakhouse in Rehoboth you would think the food would be better.

ordered a burger, medium. It was well past medium. Small slice of tomato and lettuce came with. Have better burgers at the chains.

My family of four was traveling from Norfolk, VA to NJ and stopped here for lunch. The décor of this place is amazing. It’s an old bank that has been restored beautifully. The bank vault and bank vault door have been kept and are really cool to check out. We started with buffalo chicken dip to share. For our meals we had a burger, crab cake sandwich, buffalo chicken sandwich, and muscles. Everything was VERY yummy. Service was good, very attentive refilling drinks and seeing if we needed anything. Overall it is highly recommended!

Burger was just so-so, but crab flatbread and crème brûlée were excellent. Skip the stuff you can get anywhere like the burger, and order an item unique to The Pint! Also the building is a beautiful historic former bank –the server showed us the bullet holes from a past robbery, and you can dine in the bank vault, which is pretty cool.

Very good food at reasonable prices, decent beer selection, and excellent desserts made by the local bakery. Highly recommended if you’re looking for good food in a pub atmosphere.

I have been here several times but havent had a chance to write it up till now… everytime I have been here the service was great and the food was just as good… the only down side to the place are the hours… during the week… Monday through Thursday, they dont open for lunch which is a shame… I am in the Millsboro area weekly and try to make it there when this place is open… so when you are in the Millsboro area I would highly recommend this place for a bit to eat, you wont be disappointed

My husband and I visited The Pint a few weeks ago after hearing great reviews from a friend. We shared a reuben and the crab flatbread-both were great. We shared the crème brûlée duo for dessert, which was also delicious. Not a ton of beers, but they did have some interesting ones and I was very pleased with the wine selection. The bartender was very nice and attentive. Prices were reasonable. I loved the ambience most of all. We will definitely be returning!

We live in Millsboro and visited The Pint last night. We really enjoyed it! The food came out very hot and fresh, and was quite tasty. The Reuben sandwich was excellent… one of the best I’ve tasted. The Brie appetizer was good, but needed more fruit… it was served with very tiny thin slices of apples and pear. Still very good, though. The crème brûlée dessert was delicious, as was the coffee that we had with it. Each cup is brewed fresh, and it was excellent. The menu selection was great, & there are many other items I can’t wait to try. Reasonable prices(most entrees were between $ 12 – 20), great beer and wine selection. We are very happy that we went and can’t wait to go back. :))

Last night was our second trip. We were there opening night and were amazed by how well everything ran and how tasty the food was especially considering they had been open just 2 hours. SO last night we decided to try a few more items on the menu I ordered the Mussels and my Husband got what he thought was going to be shepherds pie. My Mussels were FANTASTIC I loved the curry flavor and even asked for extra bread so that every drop of sauce was soaked up. Even though the Shepards Pie was a bit unusual it was very tasty and we will be back to work our way through the menu. The only slightly off spot in the evening(very slight) was that the wait staff is VERY new and inexperienced but I think that will improve with time.

The Pint is a newly opened restaurant in Millsboro which aspires to offer tasty English, Irish, and Scottish fare simply prepared. In the old«bank» building, it takes over from the old«Luca» restaurant which did not last long. The ambience is good. Bare wood floors, with dark-wood tables. The tin ceiling lended a nice touch, as did the old bank-vault — which has been turned into a private dining room. The bar seemed right out of an old English Public House, though it was nice to see a large TV tuned to the Orioles game! This evening I had the pleasure to sample a variety of dishes. Had a decent list of both import and domestic beers, along with what seemed to be a well-stocked bar. Ordered a Guinness(it’s a pub, right)? I was a little disappointed when it came in a can.(Good news though; the owner was getting the tap installed as we sat there.) The Irish stew was very good, but the Cock and Leek Soup was a little disappointing — though that has more to do with my expectations of what a traditional leek soup is. Instead of being cream based, this seemed to have a «tomato-y» taste. The Hobbit Pie was excellent, as were the«Firey Wings» — though we had them with barbecue sauce instead of the traditional buffalo sauce. The mussels had a good taste, though they seemed a bit on the chewy side. Desserts were incredible — especially the bread pudding. However, the real highpoint of dessert was the coffee. Each cup was individually prepared, instead of being pulled from an urn. Thick cremá on the top, with rich, strong coffee beneath. The owner seems invested in success; he was a constant fixture in the dining room. He was sure to ask our opinions, and took the time to chat. He told us that a Guinness tap was forthcoming, and that he hoped to offer Trappist ales at some point in the future. All in all, I highly recommend The Pint. It’s a good idea, and a well-needed choice in Millsboro. I hope it lasts as long as the high quality that I experienced!
