I live in Vineland and don’t frequent bars in the Millville area often. We had a wait for a table at El Guacamole last night. We went into the Oar just to sit at a high top near the bar and have a glass of wine. I knew we wouldn’t be long and I felt a little bad stopping in just for wine but there were empty tables if other customers came in. We only visited briefly and had two glasses of wine. Our server was Gabby and she was very friendly and hospitable. I felt the need to provide that feedback in a review since we were a low dollar figure tab and we were treated well regardless.

If I could give it zero stars I would! Our waitress«Gabby» was so slow I have no idea why she thought this was the profession for her! She was so incredibly rude to me as we left I should have threw the food on the floor! Also I will add that it took 1.5 hours to get a quesadilla and a corned beef sandwich, are you kidding me??? Unbelievable horrible service and God forbid you don’t drink the service and attitude is even worse …

Great drink prices. If you don’t sit at the bar you’ll be waiting a while for your drink though

come on man, it is a saturday afternoon and you have only one cook working? we had a party of 12 ready to spend hundreds of dollars and we sat around for well over an hour, barely waited on by the waitress, and wound up having to walk out! get your shit together, folks… honestly.

My husband and I stopped in for the first time and enjoyed ourselves. The ambiance was pleasant, our waitress was delightful and enthusiastic, and the food was enjoyable. We enjoyed some nice drinks(a bloody Mary, and a hot cider) along with our meal. It was a nice, leisurely night out.

I will begin by saying this bar has really found an established niche in an old town that has definitely seen better days. They hold their own well and the restaurant is pretty good. There is a little updating re-décor that could probably happen to just give it some atmosphere and the parking, unless you get lucky with dtreet parking out front, is out back which gets pretty seedy & shady at night with homeless wanderers & lack of sufficient lighting. When it comes to the service though, the restaurant really gets it done right. I am instantly greeted with a friendly server or bartender whether crowded or not so much. The food is typical of pub fare but could definitely be a bit more interesting & creative for an «irish pub». Whatever I and my crew DO order though is well prepared & served fast, hot & fresh. It shows that they care about their customer. The bathrooms have always been clean & very well attended to regularly which is always a great gauge. It is a loud atmosphere and what is to be expected. It can get pretty crowded on wekends. A fun place to meet friends & hang out but some updating seems necessary & that parking thing needs to be addressed… as well as an addition of some interesting menu choices. Definitely worth a drop by once in a while!

I don’t go to Oar House very often, but whenever I do go there I’m pretty pleased. They have a really good beer selection, and every worker there that I’ve interacted with has been very nice. The food there is also good, though there have been a couple misses – their chocolate lava cake, for example, is quite pitiful. But overall their food is fine, especially if you order their more typical pub-grub.

Stopped in before a show across the street. Stayed longer than first expected because we had so much fun! Service was fast even though the place was packed. Keyboard player singing old songs and made it a blast! If you go to Millville, stop here to have a fun time

I think this bar is one of the better bars from the area. If I could give it a half star more than I’d consider doing it. Not all the Bartenders are on point, i asked for a pickle back one time and the tender looked at me like I spoke a different language. Washington Apples were pretty on point. The food is nothing special and the atmosphere is hit or miss. It’s overall a decent establishment, but nothing special.

Loved absolutely everything about this large, yet homey Irish pub. Nice waitstaff(we were particularly impressed with one bartender up front — a young blond woman who really knew her shit. A large, well managed and deliscous choice in this small town. We had wings and they were meaty and yummy. The drinks were good, not too expensive and my friend, the beer drinker, tried out a few of the many tap options. We ended up staying longer here because we liked it so– heading to the outside back patio which is beautiful and has its own bar! We missed most of the opening act, but we loved this place!

This place is probably good for a bar but not good for their food. Went here during lunch hour with a friend and we both ordered the Shepherd’s pie which was a huge disappointment to the both of us. It was obvious that the mashed potatoes were made with some sort of mix. Watery texture and was more like a meat soup with a blob of boxed mashed potatoes in the middle of it. Not entirely sure what they think Shepherd’s Pie is…? This dish costs $ 15 to top it off. Complete nonsense. Irish Pub that serves stereotypical Irish food… and doesn’t even bother to get it right. Needless to say, I will never return here.

Drinks are good – great craft selections and they get a star for that. Nice outdoor area, so they get a star for that as well. However, my friend and I both had the bread pudding and complained of stomach issues the next morning. Also, the service leaves a LOT to be desired. I grew up in Millville and used to cole to the Oar House about ten years or so ago when I still lived in town. It’s disappointing to see the service go south the way it has. Our waitress(some blonde chick) was smoking and drinking with her friends and seems very put-out when we asked for a refill on our drinks. For all that, there are definitely other places to go.

One of my favorite places. Always a good time. Staff is friendly, drinks are great. They have anything you could possibly want and their signature drinks are tasty and fun. Food is good too. Classic Irish food as well as more modern-type appetizers, for example, buffalo chicken dip as a special. Beer garden is a great touch too. Two bars in one to make it even more fun.

Was in town on business. Stopped in as Unilocal made this place look pretty attractive. Great beer selection. Surprisingly great whiskey selection that rightfully so had its own whiskey menu. Reasonable prices too. Burger I ordered was pretty damn good. Fries not bad either. Only things going against the place was the smell of the bathroom at the bar, and the fact that they don’t accept Amex. Not accepting Amex is crazy talk in this day and age imo.

Overpriced drafts, but the peach mojito was awesome. The sweet potato fries were really good and the horseradish dipping sauce they had for them was so freaking good! I’m coming back for sure.

Keep coming back for the excellent selection of craft beer and phenomenal shepherd’s pie. My wife says their salmon is the best she has ever had.

Nice place for a dinner and drinks before going to the Levoy Theatre for a show. My wife and I figured we would go to an Irish Pub before seeing the Tartan Terrors at the Levoy on St. Patricks weekend. Nice place with a great selection of beers on tap. I had the corned beef and cabbage and my wife had the fish and chips. Not bad, but not phenomenal either. The flight of beers — Death by Chocolate — was great. Definitely planning on visiting again for the beers and the convenience. As to the food, it is just your typical bar food.

This was a difficult review. I completely enjoyed the beer selection(many taps) and the service was good. My food(fish and chips) was average at best.
