Baby Depot at Burlington Coat Factory

This location is NOT for the faint of heart.
Either go in knowing what you want, or having the time/​patience to sift through the items.
I can find some AWESOME deals here (home décor, kids clothes, baby items) when I go M-​F right when they open. Weekends are kind of a nightmare with screaming children all over the place.
The biggest and best stocked Burlington in the South Bay, which is why I keep coming back.
Added pro: their cashiers have gotten A LOT better and are waaaaayyy more efficient.
Tip: don’t bother registering here for baby items, there is hardly ever anyone at the registry booth to help

Stuff is cheaper here in general but definitely more like a warehouse feeling than a store. If you know what you want (having comparison shopped elsewhere) and find it cheaper, get it. Also you have to watch out for previously used (or opened) products.

I purchased a convertible crib approximately 3 years ago. I needed to purchase the bed rails for the crib, so I stopped by the store. They indicated that I needed my receipt for the crib to even look into which ones I needed. They did not any catalogs of cribs which they stocked or a customer purchase inventory system.
I searched through paper work and finally found the assembly instructions which included the manufacturer and model number. I went back to the store and they indicated they did not have that crib available and it was probably discontinued. I had to ask and push for them to call the manufacturer to see if they were still available or if they had a universal set. They called and said they were closed, but would take down my details and follow up the next day.
To my surprise (heh), I did not get a callback and decided to follow up 2 weeks later. I told the employee in the baby depot the situation and after holding for 10 minutes, he simply said his co-​worker indicated the crib was discontinued. I asked to speak to the co-​worker and that did not go far, so I asked to speak to the manager.
The manager took my details and called back 2 hours later. She said she called corporate and they could no longer order bed rails because the crib was discontinued by the manufacturer.
I decided to take matter into my own hands and called the manufacturer. While the crib was discontinued the rails were still available for sale and they said I was not the first customer calling from their Burlington distributer. I completed my purchase in less the 5 minutes and now my rails are on their way.
I would never make another major purchase at the baby depot. My advise, if you find a good deal on a crib buy all the accessories during your initial purchase.

this place has a large selection of clothes, the other baby selection is just okay. the clothes are a pretty decent price too. Look for sales. I bought a boppy here for less than 30 bucks

I agree you can find items that of better value than other baby store. They even have nice sunday dresses for little girls… But be very careful…
Most baby depot stores I’ve been are pretty messy. Too much supply. sometimes there’s no room to freely go around the aisles. Toys, and clothes are everywhere.
Lesson learned. checked item twice before buying.
I bought an ear thermometer not realizing that the tip was missing. I even took the item behind the stocks because some are open. I got home and remember to open it 3 weeks later. I went back to the store, and guess what… i could not return it!!! they send someone from baby depot dept. and when he came all he can say is that i couldn’t return it. «only the manager can approve it». he added. But when i asked for the manager. «She was not there» he quickly replied.
He could have just tell me i cant return it. period. I tried to explain that their area was a mess. All he can say was «you have to check before you leave». very helpful. thanks but NO thanks!!! even the lady that doing the return was useless and very unfriendly. These people shouldnt be there and dealing with customers. they shouldnt come to work if they expect nice, friendly & satisfied customers all the time.
