Its a tiny little theater in what appears to be a converted cafeteria in the adult education center in Milpitas. They seem to vary their schedule between well known standards like Shakespear and Mamet, to some lesser known and even original works by local authors. They even run some writers workshops. The performance we saw of Hamlet was certainly minimalist, the costumes were simple and the sets mostly a system of rotating painted blocks and some colorful lighting. The performance was a mix of some very amature folks filling in smaller roles to some pretty decent actors in the main roles. My wife and I were very very impressed with Ophelia, Hoartio was really good and the Hamlet was strong as well. I think if your willing to sit through a couple people learning to act in front of you then you will also see some people that will impress youl. It is what it is. Its a small theater that runs on a small budget. The tickets are cheap. If you think it would be fun to go see a play and are not too particular about seeing a highly polished event then it is a decent bet. I saw one couple there, clearly on an early date, all dressed up for a show… They were in the wrong place and snuck out at the halfway mark.
