Almost changed my plans when I saw the bad reviews from last year but glad I went. There were some problems before with shortage of plates or silverware. Maybe a little run down, but they seemed to get the message. Looked like new carpeting throughout and I didn’t notice any cleanliness issues. Lunch for less than $ 10 and we found the food to be very good. All you can eat fried chicken, my favorite potato salad, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, excellent fresh salad bar. Many items to choose from. Like others I vote with my pocketbook so I’ll be voting again this week when I go back for lunch. When you consider the alternative which is fast food or small portions in one of the corporate chains I feel it’s a bargain.

Was very disappointed with the cream of broccoli soup. Tasted like. Celery and sage broccoli wasn’t cooked just thrown in pot and served just like the celery that was in it. broccoli was in to big wasn’t even cut just tasted Gross

Worst hometown I’ve been to. Do not come here if you’re a vegetarian(I eat fish but the salmon was brown.) and salad wasn’t fresh. They don’t even have French fries. Barf. 1 star cause at least they had cheesecake.

I have been a regular at the Home town Buffet for years. I am very surprised that every time I come and eat, the quality of food that are being served are very poor, the good are NOT suitable for human consumption!!! DISGUSTING!!! I will not come any more.

A place would recall the memory of the cafeteria of my college. Food is not that bad but the cashier was bad at math and so if want to burn some energy before having buffet, I would suggest to calculate the total charge by yourself at first.

I have been to locations they are at 2.5 stars. PRICE: $ 15.50 with drink or with coupon $ 12.50 for dinner. Way too much for the food quality at THIS location. SERVICE: Bad service and stale food. Cashier Sylvia is cold and non attentive. Even told the wrong closing time. No greeting. On my way out I held the door for her as she wanted to use the exit to go back in. Busy playing with her phone. FOOD: the broccoli almost yellow in color sitting there. I felt I was eating leftovers att 8:20 pm. Soup has no more clams. The ribs were dry and no sauce. Only decent items were the chicken toasted and fried. I’ll have a Double Double any day over the food at this location. I can’t see this location being in business much longer with so many better options around.

I went to HomeTown Buffet with my roommate and boyfriend last night for dinner and we probably will not be going back for a long time: +1 star for the amount of food you get for your money. But it isn’t saying much. –1 star for the service. No one really welcomed us to the restaurant or stopped by our table to ask how we were doing. And our dishes piled up a bit on the table before anyone came around to clear them. –1 star for the quality of the food. If it tasted alright, the texture or temperature was off. If the texture was ok, it tasted pretty bad. The salad bar was probably the best thing in terms of taste and quality. –1 star for the hair I found in the whipped cream of my pumpkin pie. –1 star for the employee I brought this piece of pie up to to report it. After taking a big bite of my pie and then seeing a hair poking up through the whipped cream, I walked the plate up to the register where two people(who I think were managers) were too busy to even acknowledge me. I instead approached the cashier, who simply took the plate. No apology. No offer for a refund or anything.

If there was a negative 5 stars, this place would get perfect — 10. Food was dry, old, and tasteless. Dining area floor was filthy and trashed with food. Employee used a dirty rag to wipe desserts area and splashing dirty water from bucket over the condiments for desserts. Even after notifying the employee, she said it was fine to do such actions. «Clean» dishes and silverware still have food stuck to them. Definitely not coming back especially paying $ 13 per meal.

I’ve only ever been here two times and this past weekend was my second time but oddly enough, the food reminds me of childhood and brought back some good memories! To someone like me who doesn’t eat these types of food regularly, I found majority of it quite savory and good. Salad bar was on point. However, I did have a bad experience with spoiled chicken pot pie. It shouldn’t taste sour but it did! That and the desserts were either sickly sweet or just plain. The cheesecake was comparable to box cheesecake. Trust me, I know my desserts and I definitely do not recommend the desserts section. Go get some hot chocolate instead! Waitresses were nice though.

Came here for lunch with my co-workers and the service was surprisingly good today. Two waitresses came up top our table and asked if everything was good and if we needed anything. Food quality was pretty bad though. Meat was overcooked and dry, fried foods were hard and not crispy. Probably wont’ be coming back.

HORRIBLE! In the past my family use to go there all the time. It’s been a couple of years since we been back. I have to say it’s an extreme talent to make simple food taste this BAD! Talked to one of the employees there. She looked like a deer in headlights. That’s the response I got. I just don’t think they care. Bad food. Bad service. Not organized. Not so clean either. Too bad! Ended up getting In and Out after. What a waste of money.

I’ve been here numerous times and have found the perfect way to enjoy Hometown Buffet. When it’s your turn to take the family out for a birthday, child birth celebration, wedding, or other occasion, make sure everyone wakes up early to get one of the first tables, you’ll know you’ve got a good one if it’s near the soda machine. This will place you far from the bathroom and prevent you from smelling anyone that’s going above and beyond today. Go through two plates of breakfast, only Hash Browns and sausage. The consistency of the eggs will force you to the sidelines and may cause an early exit. Eat slow, take your time, and drink coffee or soda to stay awake because you’re staying for lunch. They can’t charge you for two meals once you’re already in so make sure you’re comfortable and clear the table when you’re done eating so you can put your head down and rest while you wait for the lunch items to come through. When you eat lunch, stay away from the mac and cheese because this has the same consistency as the breakfast eggs. Go through two plates of fried chicken, and go to the taco bar and fill your plate with ground beef and pour nacho cheese all over it. To eat this don’t use your fork or spoon, use your french fries. Cap this lunch meal with a bowl of ice cream and take two cones with you. At your take, use your spoon to add the ice cream to your first cone and when you’re done you can use the second cone. This method will prevent you from having to get up and fight your way through other children who are celebrating a life event. Make sure you take the minivan with the strongest engine because your drive back home will have to be quick since you’re ready to explode. When you pull across the lawn, make a B line to the bathroom, pop the shirt off, and get comfortable because you’ll likely fall asleep. Hope this helps, best of luck. Enjoy

This review is only for the breakfast! We had a bogo for $ 2 so both of us had breakfast here for only $ 10! What a steal! Make sure you sign up for their Crave coupons to make sure you get those deals. This was my first time having breakfast at hometown buffet. They have tons of options ranging from pancakes, french toast, sausages, hash browns, omelettes, mushrooms, bacon, sausage, fruits, bagels, oatmeal and tons more. Lots of great options and food was fresh and delicious. Definitely can’t enjoy too many breakfast meals here or my body will hate me haha. Service was really good. Workers kept walking around asking how our food was, etc which was definitely a surprise for Hometown buffet. Props for the awesome and helpful workers :).

OMG we saw the most suprising event. While eating our plates of American comfort dishes of fried Chicken baked Chicken BBQ baby back ribs, etc. We heard a angry voice walking by heading to front entrance with intent. That man was pissed and cussing loudly on the way out. It was rather scary as I envisiinef him coming back to retaliate in a bad or severe way. It caused our table neighbors to react, which for a minute, caused us to converse from sheer perplexity and obvious fear. Minutes later, the M-police cane in to talk with either owner and/or managers. We weren’t able to catch the managers to ask directly, but we did overhear it was a dishwasher employee causing problems with employees. Which now makes sense since plates, soup bowls, salad plates and eating utensils were very very scares. almost empty. The place seemed crazy busy though. Busy partly cause customers were hovering just waiting for fresh food to be replenished. Salad bar was empty or a mess and staff left the replenishing bowls sitting on edge, while they weren’t there… looks careless and dirty. Most Dish trays were empty and there were many communications via intercom to replenish the empty trays. I know fresh is good but empty vessels looks very tacky and like management doesnt care or lacks organization. Major back up on the one carving item that night, which they ran out constantly and line was growing. But ribs were meaty and hot when you got them. Many dishes were not what label states. So I got a few things that were wrong. For example, label said clam chowder but it was corn chowder. Not sure we’d return, maybe if they had more international offerings. Like ASIAN night, Indian offerings, japanesse night.(There is a standing taco bar though) Like maybe just a touch to match your customer base. Just my two cents…

Visited here two Saturdays ago, because we had coupons for breakfast. Got here around 9:30 a. It wasn’t very busy. Stayed til about 11:30a. The lunch crowd was coming in and tables were filling up fast. Pluses: 1. $ 4.99 coupons for breakfast. for two peeps plus drinks came to $ 16.27. 2. Taco bar was up and running at almost full speed. Tortillas lacking, however, see the complete fails. 3. There was menudo soup. I forgot what the other one was. I also forgot to check to see if they were labeled. By then I had to put my trusty camera away. 4. Two breakfast buffets kept fairly well stocked during our stay, and if an item was empty, it seemed to be re-filled within a few minutes. 5. Don’t remember if the salad bar was fully stocked at first, but by 10:30 it was fully loaded and ready for the lunch crowd, and every thing looked very fresh. 6. Fresh omelet bar. My friend headed there first, and there was a wait, and the line continued to grow during our stay. I already had my first round of items and was digging in before he could sit to enjoy his omelet. 7. We didn’t have an issue with plates or silverware during our visit. Granted not every slot for the silverware was full, so perhaps because it wasn’t super busy. 8. Other good stuff: 2 sausages, breakfast and rope that was in about 2 inch pieces and looked grilled, and sliced ham, see below. An attempt at eggs bene, see below. Scrambled eggs were good and plentiful. Pancakes, waffles, sliced English muffins(for the attempted eggs bene) don’t know if they were toasted. Hash brown triangles on both stations, potatoes O’Brien, grilled green peppers, onions and mushrooms, biscuits and sawmill gravy, two ½ hotel pans of it. Not good, not bad, just was: 1. Yes the buffets are a mess. Come on peeps, it’s a buffet! People are messy and staff do their best, as far as we could see, to keep up. Just don’t get the stuff hanging at the edges! 2. Not a lot of items for sweets, for us not an issue. For some it may be. There was two sticky bun items, and for what I cannot fathom, sitting next to them was cornbread. I guess some peeps like that for breakfast. A few donuts, two kinds of rugalah(mini strudels) and of course soft serve. My friend tried both buns and declared both good. I tried the apple rugalah, and it was good as well, as in at least not stale. 3. Menudo was meh. under seasoned, tho there was plenty of hot sauces and jalapeño’s to kick it up if you wanted. I also liked it wasn’t mostly hominy and very little meat. However it was very near empty when I wanted some, and there was no indication is was going to be re-filled, and it wasn’t by the time we left. 4. The ham was sliced very thin, so was dry. Some maple syrup tho fixed that issue for me. 5. We had no glaring issues with staff. They did politely ask me to stop taking pics. Esp the salad bar. Idk, everything looked fresh to me, if a little messy. Complete fail: 1. I’m not sure what happened, but there is now one choice for soft serve, there is only one handle and you get vanilla of course. There was chocolate sauce, but no sprinkles or nuts. I think there was another sauce, but I didn’t get a pic. They were policing me by then. 2. Eggs bene attempt. Basically an over hard egg. Not runny at all, see pic. Bland hollandaise sauce, not enough lemon or mustard kick. There was plenty of hot sauce, but didn’t help the hard egg. 3. The staff could not keep up with the demand for soft flour tortillas. If you’re gonna have a taco bar at 10am, you need to be ready. One warmer container(what does it hold, 10 tortillas?) was gone in seconds, with peeps grabbing 3 – 4 at a time with bare hands(no tongs), and no attempt to keep up. I might have liked a breakfast taco… 4. Mini chicken fried steaks, too dry, gravy doesn’t help. Pass on this one…

I was very disappointed I went there at 7:30 pm with my whole family I went to ask for a slice of steak — And he told me that they were so busy today no meat or ham left, but I just got here and paid $ 60 for having buffet here. If you guys ran out of food you guys should not accept any more customers.

In a word, HORRIBLEEXPERIENCE. Why the heck did I give this another shot? What a horrible mess this place is. No one seems to take any pride in this place. Not clean, not stocked the food is empty, not even silverware available. One girl seemed to be cutting ham and sticking the entire buffet; meanwhile the manager filled ice for 20 min. I finally approached the manager and he said«oh maybe I should give them a hand»…ya think?! Not again. Horrible.
