OnTrac

Negative 10 stars for this company!! What is there not to understand about the instructions I left them (see photo). I live rural. My house is 300 feet from the mail box. According to my neighbor, OnTrac stopped at my mailbox, read the sign, but yet still placed the package under my mailbox, a large box from REI is now missing. I realize that OnTrac must be an affordable delivery option, but if a company has to replace items that go missing after OnTrac delivers them, how affordable is that delivery? Amazon Prime also used to use OnTrac to deliver to my house. Too many packages never made it to my house. After many complaints, Amazon no longer uses OnTrac for my deliveries. They call it deprioritized.

I ordered an item from Amazon that was shipped via On Trac in Milpitas. My package was delivered to the wrong street. Fortunately, the person living at home where my package was delivered was nice enough to bring it to me.
The only reason I am giving On Trac one star is because the package was delivered on time to somebody although not to me.

If i could leave a negative star, i totally would! I am starting a petition! Please check back so you can sign it!!! also, their phone number is 408−719−1149!!!

OnTrac is the worst carrier I have had the misfortune to encounter. They tried to deliver a package and did not ring the doorbell but knocked on the door. Since I was at the back of the house I couldn’t hear them so they left a message tag. I called them to request that that deliver early or late the next day. They came during an hour & forty five minute window of time when no one was home in the middle of the day.
When next I have a delivery I will inquire who they will use as a carrier. If it is OnTrac I will not buy the product!

Once again they failed. Package from Amazon was «delivered» to «f. door.» No said package. I wanted to check to see if the apartment office had it but had to wait until the next day. Surprise… no package. Called them up and was told the driver could come out to see if it was where it was left. really? What good is that a day later? That was almost a week ago and I have not heard anything. I even emailed and they acknowledged that it was being looked into and I emailed back saying I should have been called back already and nothing. BBB should take this company out!

This guys should not be allowed to deliver any package. They left a note saying they missed, and there were no follow up actions. Tried to call 100 times, but unable to reach. Should I just wait for the whole day? I have a better thing to do. They should have some kinda pick up service or pick up arrangement. This business will not last long. Terrible service. Avoid if you can.

These people are awful! Truly horrible in all ways pertaining to customer service and shipments in general. Definitely do not use them for anything.
I am writing this review as I was waiting for a call back for 2 hours in the afternoon. I called this morning and they put me on hold for about 2 hours so I finally selected «call me back.» When they called back they did not have the contact info for their own delivery location to check the status so they said they would call me back again. It’s been 5 hours and they still have not called me back. But after 3 hours I got on the waiting list on hold again and now it’s 2 hours with nothing…
Truly awful company with no integrity.

Wish there was a zero star option. This delivery company for Amazon consistently marks packages as delivered when it is not the case. 4 times in a row now I have had missing packages marked signed by mail room or front door… There is no mail room or front door attendant! Your drivers or the entire company is stealing packages! WTF!

I used to be annoyed when Amazon used this service because Ontrac wouldn’t deliver on time. They SAID the package got to my house, but it wouldn’t be there. It would «magically» appear the next day, or even two days later.
Recently, I simply haven’t been getting the packages at all. I have had to stop ordering from Amazon because of it. I just can’t trust that package will arrive. Sure, Amazon gives me a refund, but for what? I still don’t get what I ordered.
Note: I have rarely had a problem when Amazon uses USPS or FedEx. This is an OnTrac problem.

Shady business. Never had a problem with them until yesterday. No package delivered as stated. Lies. After reading the reviews I expect to either never see that package or it showing up in a few days, on Ontrac time apparently. Thinking your packages are stolen can just send one panicking. Hope they go out of business. This shouldn’t be a pain in the @$$ !!!

Ha! Package «delivered» today on porch, no doorbell, no knock. Was home as well. They definitely on «Ontrac time».

They sent me 2 emails within the past few days about the incident noting, they could not locate it. Ridiculous, they can’t even respond to emails on time!

They frequently lie about delivering packages when they have not, they NEVER bring the package all the way to my house. They often leave them in plain sight at the end of the road we live on, near a gate. It’s about TWO MILES from my house, yet they mark «Delivered to Front Door».
Amazon either can’t, or won’t, stop using OnTrac in this area. I am at my wits end, with items frequently not arriving on time, and being lost and/​or stolen a couple times a year as well.

All my Amazon packages from UPS arrived fine today however my same day shipping from Ontrac said it would arrive 8pm. Home all day, no doorbell ring or knock. I finally leave the house after 8:30pm and around 9:30, checked Amazon and status changed to delivered at 5:18pm??? I came home to a missing package, but it ways delivered and signed by FD… front door??? What the? Must have gone to wrong address.
Luckily, Amazon will take care of it.

If I could give ONTRAC a no star at all I will. This is by far the worse courier ever! I don’t even know why they still exist in the courier industry.
My first experienced with them was few months ago, I bought some items from nordstromrack, it took 3 weeks to 1 month before they delivered the items for a reason that «THEY CAN’T FIND MY HOME» despite of a very detailed descriptions on how they can find the address. After probably 6 customer service representatives help from nordstromrack, my packages were finally delivered. Their customer service is not a huge help at all.
The second experience is JUST NOW! They delivered my package to wrong recepient (stupid e?) I called them right away — after being in queued for more than an hr! (yes that was the waiting period) only to be answered by not so helpful customer service rep, I was told to call the shipper, I also sent them an email and was told the same, I mean wtf? It is you ONTRAC that has a problem here, I hope you live up to your name. ONTRAC because you can’t be tracked. The worst courier ever! The thing is when, we shop, we don’t know beforehand that the items are going to be sent through ontrac, had I know about it, I will never buy from that retail store again because seriously, this courier is a pain in the ass, I don’t know why they are still using it. The way you handle your customer’s complaints, you have no business in courier industry.

Their delivery workers are pretty bad, as these reviews illustrate, and I had to ask Amazon customer service for that extension (OnTrac doesn’t want you to call them, apparently), but the woman on the phone helped get my gate code to the driver and was courteous and pleasant. Hopefully my packages are delivered on time from now on.
edit: One month later I had more shipping issues with OnTrac. I waited all day for a package delivery, and happened to check the tracking info. They claimed to have delivered the package 90 minutes earlier with the signature «FD.» No one came to my door and there sure as **** ain’t no «FD» living here. I called Amazon and asked them what was up. Amazon called OnTrac and gave them a day to figure it out. Within ten minutes OnTrac was on my doorstep with my package, without even an apology. I know things happen, but overall it was a really sketchy experience.

Ordered a bunch of stuff. Delivery was guaranteed before or at 10:30am. Waited for the package as it’s urgent (thus, the overnight), and at 10:29am, the tracking status was marked as «NOT HOME ON DELIVERY ATTEMPT»
I have a dog that didn’t bark. I have a security camera recording everything that move infront of our house, and our garage door is wide open for the delivery.
I would be happier, if they said it was ‘delayed’ rather than lying to their customer so they don’t have to worry about their money back service guarantees.
Call support and it say, «There are 115 callers ahead of you». Oh great. I simply left the phone on and two hours later… still 80 callers. Maybe those callers dropped… felt like no one is handling customer support.
Four packages; all marked as Not Home exactly a minute before service guarantees time.
This isn’t the first time. hopefully, I will learn to pay more attention when I purchase something online and uncheck OnTrac as the carrier.
We spend tens of thousands on Amazon per year for our business purchases, and we finally got amazon to blacklist OnTrac for us; very unreliable when you need something delivered «On-​Time».

OnTrac lost a very important package for our company. OnTrac’s driver that services our address does NOT come everyday (even though we pay for everyday pickup service).
There is some concern that all of our packages have been opened with contents removed prior to their delivery (by OnTrac personnel).
Any business should be fearful to entrust packages to this «company.»
The customer service (in person with driver & worse, over the phone) is the worst part of the experience.

My 1^st shipment from Amazon via Ontrac was not delivered on the day they committed to. Ontrac claimed that they couldn’t find my address.
All of my other Amazon orders have shipped by UPS, Fed-​Ex, and USPS, and have arrived as promised.
I called the Ontrac depot in Milpitas and told them to hold my package at their facility and I would pick it up, as I was concerned they would keep failing to find the address. Unfortunately they didn’t do as they agreed to and the package went out for delivery the next day. They did get it to my address correctly the 2^nd attempt.
Also when talking by phone with the local rep at Ontrac, they were unable to give me any sort of clue as to where their depot was located other than a street address. Cross street? «Dunno». Office park? «Dunno». Major landmark? «Dunno». Completely unhelpful.
I will try very hard to make sure that any future orders from Amazon do NOT get shipped to me by this carrier. I have zero confidence that they will get things right the next time.

This company is the worst. Fraudulent delivery of an Amazon order claiming someone named «Tony» signed for it. Not a chance that happened. They’re stealing Amazon merchandise and causing hell for customers of Amazon.
I was able to get Amazon to open up an internal investigation into OnTrac’s BS. Will report back if I receive anymore details.
I strongly suggest anyone who has experienced this terrible company’s theft to contact the BBB. Ontrac doesn’t want to answer phones or be held accountable. They really need to be put down like a rabid dog.

Liars!!!
They made false delivery attempt. I know this since I was sitting at my front door whole day, and failed to see anybody showed up. But the status said a delivery was attempted. They also claimed they had left a notice but nothing was there.
Their customer service was also horrible.

I called ontrac they advised that although Amazon shows the package arrived at 3:45pm. It didn’t arrive at their warehouse until 8:21 pm. That was when the package was supposed to arrived at my home, not the warehouse. And if the warehouses closes at 8pm as I was advised, whose their to receive packages that late? This isnt the 1^st occurrence and I’m certain it won’t be the last. This isn’t frustrating, it’s disappointing.
According to several Bay Area ontrac locations Unilocal and other customer service rating tools, NONE of these ontrac locations have a score greater than 1.5 stars. Clearly, several hundred people took the time to warn Amazon of the poor quality of service.
No one expects 100% all the time, things happen, but far less than 50% are receiving advertised services. Time to Step up the performance of the carriers.
If Amazon wouldn’t keep an employee on staff who was habitually late or absent, shame on Amazon for expecting customers to tolerate what they wouldn’t.

Had a chat with
support about this. They were able to dig up alternate delivery information vs. what I was seeing on the OnTrac WWW site for a tracking number. Amazing.
Pay for one day delivery, receive confirmation, and see the delivery 3 – 4 days later.
