Rancho Milpitas Middle School

i only rate this 3 stars because I met a lot of good friends here, but as far as that goes, once again the classrooms are packed, they should have less students in a classroom, but when you only have 2 middle schools in Milpitas, what are you going to do, plus Milpitas is building new apartments and houses, where are the children of those apartments going to go to middle school, Rancho or Russell, it doesn’t matter how much it cost to build a new middle school, they should build it because Milpitas easily has at least 70 000 people, maybe 75,000 people and 2 middle schools is not enough, I had a great time here, the teachers are great, but that’s my argument.

Rancho has gone through quite a transformation since the 90s. As the demographic groups changed, so did the school. The school hired many dynamic teachers and adopted some of the more innovative ways of teaching students and making them feel like a part of a community. In a team based small community, teachers rotated amongst a small group of students throughout the day. Every teacher wants to get to know each child and nurture their souls and accept them as a person not as another student passing through the door. In recent years, Rancho became the school to watch in our state. Students who moved onto high school would come back to visit all the time to thank their teachers.

The Bloods are a Los Angeles-​based street gang. They are identified by the color red, and they rock red shirts, hat, shoes, etc. The Bloods are made up of various sub-​groups known as «sets,» in which significant differences exist such as colors, attire, and operations. Since their humble beginnings, the Bloods have branched out throughout the United States, and infiltrated major cities including Milpitas.
Transitioning from Sinnott Elementary school to Rancho was a major shock to me. Keep in mind that this was the mid 90’s and gang activity was on the rise. The cool kids were wearing visors, socks with their Fila sandals, and parted their hair in the middle. Instead of back packs, kids would carry a binder to school.
My first day, I feared for my life! I thought I was going to get shot by a Blood. I was so scared to go to the cafeteria that I paid my friend for his sandwich.
