San Jose Mandarin English Toastmasters

Immediately after attending the class in April, I fell in love with it. Within couple months, I improve my English, become a better speaker and gain self-​confidence, while having fun. We support each other and share one common goal (be better of ourselves). If you are looking for fun, supportive and educational environment, this is a place to be.

I really like the meeting because that meeting give me so much fun and worth. I’m able to obtain so much valuable evaluations from other senior toastmasters so that my English public speaking gets much improved.

SJ-​MET Toastmasters club is such an unique club. Although this club is only less one year old, the members are like my 2^nd family. Everyone is hard working and caring… they trust each other and they share goals together… it is truly a trusting place that I am proud of being a member. I wish more new friends will join me to learn how unique and special ST-​MET (meet on Wednesdays) is!

This is a wonderful group of people who are friendly, welcoming, and affirming. The format of the meetings are unique in that half the speeches are in English and half are in Mandarin. It’s a great opportunity to strengthen your English and Mandarin skills. You will develop your communication and leadership skills, as well as make new friends along the way. These skills can be translated in your work, interactions with strangers, and personal life (friends, family, love life, etc). The members range from beginner to advanced and you go at your own pace. There are highly experienced veterans who can mentor you along the way to becoming a strong communicator and leader. Check it out! It’s free to sit in and observe in a nonthreatening environment!

This is a fun group. The meetings are well organized. The members are intelligent, energetic, inspiring, and professional. The speeches are informative, educational, well-​delivered. Definitely enjoy the whole experience of networking with a group of smart people, learning about public speaking and hearing topics on areas including but not limited to good deed, good health, good relationship, good mentality, facing challenge, etc.
