This is a medium sized Chinese language bookstore. I can’t read Chinese, but I still frequent Chinese bookstores because you can sometimes find interesting cards and stationery items. Besides books, Symphonic(which incidentally doesn’t have an English sign on the outside so if you’re looking for it and you can’t read Chinese, take down the address), sells Chinese language CDs, DVDs, magazines, jewelry, and trinkets(e.g., those good luck jade charms Chinese people like to put in their cars). I think they sell soy milk making machines too. There isn’t much in terms of stationery and the gift items probably wouldn’t appeal to you unless you are Chinese. Even though I can’t read Chinese, I like flipping through the cookbooks to look for pictures of red bean buns and congee. I don’t think I will find a stinky tofu recipe but I could stumble across a pork blood recipe. For the gentlemen, you can find Chinese skin magazines(you know, pictures of nude women).
