Expensive and the food was mediocre. My pictures look nice but when you bite into the sweet and sour pork it’s like chewing dry plastic. I recommend you spend your money for better food quality somewhere else.

Decent food and have been always coming here since i was a kid. They have changed their name 2 – 3 times but other than that their average quality Chinese food never gets better or worse in the slightest. My family and I just enjoy coming here because they close at 11.

I grew up in Guangzhou and obviously grew up eating Cantonese food. This place brings back memories. I think that is the best review I can write !!! The food can be a bit inconsistent sometimes, but more often than not it’s satisfying for me to spend time and eat there. I’ve tried pretty much everything on the menu.

This review is about their takeout. 3 dishes for 19.99. I have been ordering for years and recently, they have reduced the contents to about ½. Not good. Will not order to go from them again.

Old timers will always remember, Yong Kee, Won Kee, always there when the Milpitas sq mall and Lundy mall started. Both must have changed hands for at least a couple of times in the last two decades, food is so so, but location is perfect, first in the row of restaurants, and typical porridge/noodles place. Their BBQ is not the best but beats other hot dishes, crispy noodle is OK to try. Decent restaurant for quick/cheap eats.

This is your typical Chinese food restaurant, perfect for carb-filled lunches and cantonese-style dinners. My family has been coming here for years, and I must say that the upkeep has not been doing well. Whereas the rest of the plaza is growing, expanding, and renting out to modern businesses, Won Kee has stayed old, dirty, and broken. For my entire lunch there, I was attempting not to look at the pixelated kid show playing on their broken TV – seriously, if it’s that pixelated and broken, why even turn it on? The food itself was also very sub par: Singapore style rice noodle: There’s not a whole lot of anything aside from noodle, so don’t expect too much. Flavor was okay, though not too much of the curry flavor which makes it «Singapore style.» I’d avoid for the future. Beef chow fun: The greasy staple dish of Cantonese people, and it sure held to its stereotype; Indeed, was it greasy and massively flavorful. Delicious amidst all the oil, but bound to give you indigestion later and leave you drinking a swimming pool after all the sodium. Won ton noodle soup: I feel like the best won ton noodles come from run down places such as this. The broth was ultra fragrant and full of flavor. My bf easily inhaled this dish, though I did manage to steal one of his scant veggies, as my Singapore noodle had none. Overall, I wish my parents would opt for some place healthier, or at least less greasy, but old habits and traditions die hard. Prices are relatively cheap, and you do get quite a lot of food, but my word the environment just sucks.

Give them the five star card and the cashier said it no longer work anymore then why the sign still post on the door. Should of just remove it or put a sign out.

Consistently good if you know what to order. Won Kee is one of our favorite late night haunts, since it’s open until 11PM. After that, you’ll have to head to Ulferts Plaza for China Palace, which is open until 3AM. The green beans with minced pork, beef chow fun, crispy fried fish filet, sweet and sour chicken in spicy hot sauce(awkward name for a good dish — the only sweet and sour anything that I’ll eat), black pepper sauce chicken fried noodle(get it dry — it may no longer be on the menu but they will make it if you ask), and won ton soup are very good here. All the servers and busboys recognize us and give us great service. Our tea and water is refilled promptly and everyone gets free dessert.

I have been coming here for years, their BBQ are always on point. I loved their roasted duck and pork, they are delicious. Their Mao Pao Tofu is ok. Service is decent.

Since Lung Lung BBQ is a bit far now from where we live, we needed a replacement for our BBQ Pork cravings. Well Won Kee has now won that place in our stomachs. I’ve gone to Won Kee on occasions in the past. I recalled when my bf(who wasn’t my bf at the time) went there to get chow fun for dinner. He likes dry noodles so it totally hits the spot as it’s quite plentiful And that’s no difference to the other dishes they provide. We typically get either just the BBQ pork dish where you get a large pile of white rice, lots of layers of bbq pork and some napa cabbage. We’ve gotten two choices of BBQ which included roasted pork and BBQ pork which again same but half and half. The bbq pork is a little dry depending on the piece but the fatty pieces are just heaven for me(the bf doens’t like too much fat in a bite). They also pour some of the BBQ sauce/drippings over the meat and rice which just seals the deal. Won Kee Seafood also has the pick 3 dishes deal like Lung Lung BBQ for ~$ 20 or something like that. It’s not the most stellar, but the quantity is a lot, the speed is not too shabby, price isn’t too high, and heck it’s close by in the 99 Ranch Market in Milpitas Square.

One of regular spots for convenient Chinese food. We usually get the choose 3 dishes to go(for $ 21?) which is some combination of beef chow fun, Peking spareribs, sweet and sour chicken with spicy sauce, mabo tofu, or Mongolian beef. 3 cup chicken(not on the menu) is really good too. My favorite part of dining in is the tapioca sago dessert(included with your meal); so good! I’ve only been here once for lunch and had the won ton soup with vegetables and noodles, which was good.

Eating here because pepper lunch is closed. We ordered the beef chow fun, 3BBQ combo(duck, BBQ pork, pork belly) and the crab soup. The order came out in like 5 mins and I swear everything is a complete miss. All the BBQ flavored are off like the sauce does not taste right. The duck wasps you fat and the pork was dry, almost stale. How does one screw up on BBQ dish. They seem authentic — so what went wrong? The beef chow fun is completely tasteless, could use more soy sauce or something. And I don’t even like salty dishes. This just lacks flavor. The soup was plain. Few pieces of Imitation crab with tons of fish maw. It was bland and we could’ve done without it. A complete waste of $ 40.

And reliable Cantonese restaurant that serves yummy barbecue, greasy fried food, and hearty porridges. And they take credit cards. Win. Won Kee has had their corner for YEARS. It looks janky inside but locals are familiar with the shabby décor– it’s a Milpitas classic. We love the barbecue and the sizzling plates. The tofu dishes are great. I tend to avoid the seafood from this place. The seafood vibe just seems off. lol. Service is always blah. But that’s the South Bay Asian service for you. There’s always that one non Asian gentleman who serves us and he’s super nice and attentive. This place is always open late. It’s also one of the few places in Milpitas that takes credit cards. Hungry? Try it.

Won Kee immediately reminds me of the Sam Woo chain of restaurants down in SoCal — basic Cantonese food with BBQ meats. They’ve got all your standard Cantonese dishes like beef chow fun, Yang Chow fried rice, and walnut prawns. I think one of the reasons why I frequent this place so much is their consistent wok hei, that fragrant carmelized smell that comes off your food that lets you know their fires are hot and their cooks can expertly flick that wok.(if you order beef chow fun or the fish fillet with veggies, you’ll know what I mean) For lunch, this place is great for their rice and bbq dishes. You can order 1 – 4 kinds of bbq meats(duck, cha siu, pork, soy sauce chicken, etc.) with some rice and tiny thing of napa cabbage to ensure you get some veggies that day. The last few times I got the duck, it came out to be pretty salty, but the cha siu and roast piggie are always good(dat crispy skin!!). On Saturdays, they do have dim sum, but it’s very paltry compared to a place that specializes in dim sum. There’s a single cart and the dim sum isn’t made in large quantities, so most of the stuff may have been sitting, steaming in the cart for a while. Lastly, their porridge is bomb! It’s a nice runny, but not too runny consistency and the rice itself is flavorful. Toss in some of that fish fillet and it’s a sick Chinese kid’s dream come true.

This place has been here. .. forever? One line in an old review sums it up pretty well: «Cheap, tasty, greasy Cantonese food.» I like the Beef Chow Fun(not the Beef Chow Fun with Black Bean Sauce). They ask if you want it dry or wet and I go for dry( ). Decent wok hai. Tender beef. Seems to have gotten oiler over the years? Or maybe I’m trying to be healthier in my 40’s?

It was my second time coming here recently and this recent time was just way worse than the first. Service just sucks all around. My boyfriend is Chinese and we would’ve thought they’d be nice to us but no(lol). This place is in the corner of the Milpitas plaza near Ranch 99 market. Inside just looks really dirty and old. Our food came out warm — cold. My pan fried noodles was a disaster! Noodles were already cold and not crispy anymore. The only worker that was giving us excellent service was the only non-Asian worker there. He was very nice and apologetic with our food and water. Thank you kind man!

I have been coming here for years. And every time is amazing! Hot and cooked when order not sitting there like some others I’ve been too. This is a busy area parking lot it always full. And lunch time get a little crazy since all companies around. We get. Duck half($ 10.50) Shrimp Fried Rice($ 8.50) Fried spare Ribs w/Salt & Pepper($ 9.50) Hong Kong Style Noodles or «crispy» noodels *amazing*($ 8.99) So the prices are mmmm could be better. But I’ll pay it cause how good this place is. Be carful they will charge you for refills on your drinks… hahaha I find that very annoying since we walking out with a $ 40+ bill. You think she would over look it. Don’t come for the service, they can care or not care to have you lol.

Something something inflation something. The«2 kinds BBQ» rice plate is now $ 8. Still solid value for your choice of two meats and cabbage over a big plate of rice. Available at all hours(not a «lunch special»). Free milk tea at lunch time. Free hot tea and dessert at dinner time. #theValue They use the fivestars card reward system… but I never remember until I’m walking out to the parking lot. Update: Remembered for the first time! Yisss. I hear the reward for 10 visits is 10% off?

Won Kee Seafood is located in the 99 Ranch Plaza in Milpitas. They have been in their corner location for a long time. My family and I went in there for lunch. We arrived at about 1PM. There were tables available and we were seated immediately. We ordered 2 Won Ton Noodle Soups, a beef stew noodle soup(gnau lam), and an order of Roast Pork. While we were waiting for the food, they brought out water for us. The roast pork came out first on a pretty large plate. It was seasoned and roasted perfectly. The pork skin was crunchy. Won Kee does a wonderful job with their roast pork. The noodles came out next. Their noodles comes in a standard Cantonese MSG broth with Nappa Cabbage. The beef stew must’ve been cooking for a long time. It was tender, and delicious. It was one the best beef stews that I have had. Since my daughter cannot finish a bowl of wonton noodles by herself, I took some of her noodles and wonton. The wontons were big and filled with meat and shrimp. They were delicious. The noodles came in a large bowl. Everything here is large, including the flavor. Service is okay for a Chinese place. They came and refilled my water a couple of times. There is no free wifi. But, it is quite easy to get yourself connected to their wifi. Won Kee is a great place to go for cheap food, and lots of it. I’ll be back when I go up to San Jose area.

Came by to order some take out the other day and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered the Beef Chow Fun w/Black Bean Sauce and it was tasty! The noodles were well pan-fried and were fresh! The beef quality was good and the flavor was on point as well! Service via the phone order to the pick up was courteous and prompt. Theoretically, it’s a minimum of $ 20 before credit cards can be used. I’ll have to check out their 3 dishes for $ 18.99 take out soon! ~$ 9 for dinner after tax take out.
