Lake Union Sea Ray Fife

I bought my boat thru Lake Union Sea Ray and was satisfied with the purchase process. However I have returned twice for repairs and will not got back again.
The first time they gave me back my boat with no battery. This year it needed a service and I was told I should have a thorough service where they check everything to make sure it is running okay.($ 500.) We told them that the engine had gone under the water because of blown plugs (which they fixed). Got to the lake and the boat would stall when in gear. Luckily we had bought an oar since we had to paddle back to the marina. We have since taken the boat to someplace else and were told that the fuel pump should have been checked as well as the carburetor– neither of which was done.
What a rip-​off! Now I have to spend an additional $ 700. How do businesses like this stay in business. Plus they have ruined our summer boating outings.

Lake Union Sea Ray did great work selling, servicing and then helping me sell my boat many years later.
My tenure with Lake Union Sea Ray in Fife dates back to 2005. In 2005, I was entering the market to purchase a Boston Whaler. I met Jack at Lake Union. Jack patiently helped us make this big purchase over a year later. We purchased a Conquest 255.
The dealership helped my rig the boat and kept in on their lot for a few months before taking final delivery. Jack delivered it and gave us hands-​on instruction.
Years later, 2014, after far fewer hours than we would like, we made the decision to sell our Whaler. Again, I returned to Lake Union Sea Ray for help and guidance. Randy at Lake Union helped me price and sell the boat. With their network of contacts, we had three full price offers and sold the boat quickly. If I look hard, the one comment I have is the time it took them to post the boat on their used boat site (and updating to say it was sold). It took them 2 plus weeks to post For Sale, or as Sold. It shouldn’t be that hard and take so long (would have been 5 stars otherwise).
Overall, Lake Union Sea Ray is a great end-​to-​end experience. Check them out and you won’t regret it.

This place blows my mind! You CAN NOT reach the service department in your wildest dreams! You have to physically drive down in your car to talk to someone. They won’t call you back, etc. Totally understaffed! What finally gave me the energy to write this review is today alone, I have called their service department to ask a simple question 5 times and left one message. No call back and every time I have called the receptionist, who is totally worthless, says «I’m sorry service is not answering their phone right now». I know we’re busy… but damn!!! This place has the worst customer service in the industry. BE AWARE!

My father is having almost the EXACT same situation as Ken K from Seattle. It’s been almost 3 months of my dad having to stop in and getting NO CONTACT from the manager or GM or anyone. He just keeps getting new bills for things when he stops in or they say they haven’t worked on it yet. He just told the manager that he wants a sit down conversation with him, the manager and the GM. As of yet they haven’t called to make an appointment. He actually left his boat there over the winter for them to fix it while he was in Arizona and they couldn’t find time to fix it in 6 MONTHS. Then when he came back to Washington in May he checked on it and it’s not September and it’s STILL NOT FIXED. DO NOT take your boat to this location!

I recently bought a 1996 Sea Ray knowing it would need about $ 5000 in repairs. Since I was new to Sea Ray and the engine would need to be removed to be repaired I called Sea Ray in Fife and explained my situation.
The shop manager assured me there was plenty of room on the lot and not to go elsewhere. I brought the boat to him the next day. After 2 weeks I checked in. It hadn’t been started on but I was told it still could be done in the next week and a half. 3 weeks later I stopped by and it still had not been touched. 4 weeks later not a wrench had been turned. The worst part is the manager told me the engine hoist (they only have 1) was in use on another job and I couldn’t get any commitment from him when they would be able to start on mine.
This gave me (the customer) the most helpless feeling. Its like walking up to your car after some Ahole smashed the window and stole $ 1.50 in change. Nothing you can do about it but it sucks and now your stuck with the situation. In this case I took my boat elsewhere. Thanks to Sea Ray in Fife I lost an entire month of the summer boating season.
Ricks Master Marine had the engine out within 4 days and are already turning it around. It seems the shop manager has a brain and can at least somewhat tell me when to expect the return of my boat.
It seems the shop managers job at Sea Ray in Fife is to pack the lot with as many boats as possible with no concern about other peoples time or the value of a repeat customer.
By the way, I wrote a letter to the General Manager. I never heard from anyone which only confirms they don’t care about customer service. It must be nice to not have to worry about taking care of your customers and making repeat ones.
